Hayley,
this happened to me too at around 8 weeks. I had brown stuff and dark red blood too. I was scared stiff and as it happened on a saturday i had my feet up all w/e praying there would be no more. Went for a scan on the monday morning and everything was fine and the consultant said that lots of people get some degree of bleeding or discharge. Try not to worry. If you can go and buy mother &baby mag this month theres a section on bleeding in pregnancy.
try and stay calm, helen :D

Hayley - poor you. What a shock. TS is right (for once!) its just old blood - its quite common. But when it happens to you it must feel like you are the only one its EVER happened to!!

As for stop worrying......erm I don't think we'll stop worrying till they are born. And then the real worrying begins!!!!

I guess we just get used to it. The worrying does get a little easier the further on you get, I promise.

Just take it easy.
