Any other RE in Western MA or CT?

Post by winter08 »

I have to say I really don't like my RE! We've been with him for more than a year and tried 8 different cycles, and he still got my husband's name wrong! All he said and did made me feel he really doesn't care a thing at all!
We live in Western Massachusetts. I don't want to say his name here and he's locally famous maybe. I just wonder if we get any other options. Does anybody know other RE in this area? Connecticut will also be fine. Any recommendation will be appreciated!

I don't live any where close, but this is a good website for clinics which provides STATS on the clinic.

Hope it helps!

Thank you so much, Helen!
I searched it and got The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services in Farmington, CT.
Does anybody hear about them? Are they good?

Well, I just moved out of Western Mass (I lived there for 5 years). We saw Dr. Robert Howe in East Longmeadow. Was he your RE? I think he's good. He can be dry, but his staff is absolutely lovely (we were able to get pregnant in our 3 IVF cycle), and he works with Dr. Pang of Reproductive Science Center in Lexington, MA.

I've heard great things about Bay State Medical Center in Springfield. Have you tried them? I can't tell you from a personal account, but I've met women who loved it there.

Also, I don't know if you're willing to go this route, but for my last cycle I combined it with a naturopath dr in Northampton that I absolutely LOVE. Her name is Ana Abele, she's right in downtown Noho. She was willing to work with my situation in combination with my frozen embryo transfer. I truly think that she had something to do with this success.

Best wishes in your journey, feel free to contact me if you are interested in hearing more. I certainly know what is like to be frustrated with physicians, I think I can write a whole book on negative experiences with some of them :(
