Sloan, thanks for your encouragement. I know I can come here if I need help with my ups and downs, and you all always have a shoulder to lean on and some good PMA vibes. I'm anxiously awaiting to hear about your transfer!

Bell, thank you too for the positive energy. The more I hear from everyone, the more I realize it does just take one. I know you are excited to start on the Lupron tomorrow. Sounds funny that we get excited to stick ourselves with needles.

NY4thtry, I really need to look into getting some Colace. I'm already having "issues" and don't want to wait too long. It sounds like you have a good DH to help with your shots. We gotta do what we gotta do huh?

Karen, the quote was very inspirational. How appropriate for all of us. It sounds like your follies are coming along quite well. You must have a long drive back and forth to all of the appointments, but will be so worth it in the end. Good luck tomorrow and be sure to give us an update!

Havbaby and Lovemybaby, yes these treatment costs can really get out of hand. But DH and I have still always managed to find a way to pay for it. That's not to say we aren't in debt from it right now, but feel like we will take care of it slowly but surely if it means we end up with a healthy precious baby.

Adjec, I don't know much about beta #'s. I'll be curious to hear everyone's feedback though.

Kke, welcome! Sorry I'm not familiar enough with your questions to answer. I have had cycles cancelled due to remaining cysts, but not sure about E2 levels.

Robin, best of luck with your u/s tomorrow. It sounds like your follies are growing just fine. I've definitely felt the bloat and discomfort with stims but never too draining. Maybe you can try another warm shower and head to bed early tonight to rest up.

Sprouthaus, welcome to you too. I was on what I believe to be the long Lupron protocol. My RE started me on Lupron after BCP's and I continued for 14 days, then began stims along with the Lupron and low-dose HCG. I was on all 3 for around 10 days or so. December is right around the corner, so you have something to look forward to!

As for me, I got good news everyone! I had 3 out of 4 eggs fertilize and will go for ET on Sunday. I am so nervous and excited all at the same time. They will decide on Sunday which 2 to transfer, or said they may do all 3. Whoa, scary but exciting. Wish me luck!

I am so proud to start this thread with a BFP!!!!

The 2WW is so worth it when you hear them say that you are "definitely pregnant!!" My beta was 340 and all my other levels are good. She said my number is probably a little higher because the embie implanted early and has been growing a while (we only transfered one).

Thank you all for your wonderful support! It made SUCH a difference during this entire process.

And I just have this feeling...that this is going to be a good cycle for all of us!

I'm just so freaking smilie right now! DH and I work together and we were out to lunch with our department when they called...so I had to sit through the rest of lunch before I could tell him! lol (No one at work knows what we're doing.)

I am wishing you all nothing but loads and loads of baby dust!!! :D

wonderce - Ok, good to know about the bloating. I think getting up for monitoring at like 5 am twice this week didn't help my exhaustion either! Congrats about the fertilization report - you are on your way! Good luck with the transfer!!

adjec - Awesome!!! I'm so happy for you and your DH! Besides our joy for you, it really helps keep us going - to know that this process really can work! Now, take it easy and take care of that little one! :-)

gina - I did a 5dt...just one embie. And to be honest with you, I don't know the grade of the one they transfered...we had like 13 that fertilized, 5 of which they froze right away and then they picked one to transfer. If our clinic grades them, they didn't tell us...they just said it was a very good embie...

And thanks for the congrats!

Love_my_baby - you asked who else was starting on Monday-I am starting luprn on Monday but my ER will be around the 18th.

Insurance haters and waiters - I have been on bcp for 6 weeks waiting to start, getting ready to open the third pack in a row. If anything was paid for I would gladly wait another 6 weeks as long as I knew that was the end of the waiting. Time is money for us! After a number of weeks and my unexpected surgery, I had to wait another unexpected week due to my DH schedule. I can only imagine how frustrating it can be for you. Expecially those that have to endure the required other treatments before insurance covers anything. However, this last and perhaps most frustrating week flew by mostly because of the needle anxiety I have and the fear of the med bill. In shopping around I got my meds for $1600 instead of $3K at another pharmacy. YAHOO!!! Its the little victories. We all will move forward eventually, most women stop before this stage.

Sprout-welcome! We will rely on your experience.

KKE- Lupron supresses your cycle so your body can begin making multiple eggs for IVF. I am confused that you only had one shot because I will take it every night at 8 pm for 3 weeks. It stops you from ovulating that cycle to bundle up more for the second month and the ER.

Interesting what people are saying about going straight to IVF. That is why I went to my RE back in March. I don't have any insurance regulations or anything but my RE made me do it 3 times as a cheaper alternative. I guess she assumed I was young (31) and hadn't been trying with fert drugs long enough. She didn't consider the 15 months before we got help.

Anyway, I did get prego on the third time but miscarried. I feel glad that I didn't spend 15K and end up with an expensive bad experience but I am terrified that I will miscarry again. My friend with IF problems said it best, your joy is masked with fear. BFP is almost as big a fear as a BFN for me.

I am not saying those going straight to IVF is a bad idea because I am sure they would have placed a better embryo back into me than the twins we conceived during IUI so don't feel that way. I am saying it is a good idea, I think I am jealous I didn't insist on skipping the IUIs or at least ask for a change in protocol after the first one or two failed. I wish I was as armed with information as you are during that stage for me because I feel I could have been several mos preggers by now and hadn't wasted so much time. Sometimes I feel time is more precious than money at this journey.

ajdec - Congratulations!!!!! Thank You for starting us off with our first BFP!!!! That is the best news - now you and your DH can celebrate this weekend, but nothing crazy    You make me feel more hopeful for my own BFP.

Started bcp today and I dont know if that is what causing it, but I have had a headache since about an hour after I took it. It is so strange to be on bcp again since I haven't taken it in over 10 years. I am not complaining because I will take a headache for the cause.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!! :D

Good Luck on the transfers this weekend. :D :D :D

Baby hope and KKE... I only had one shot of Lupron as well...at the start of my cycle to suppress my system. Must be because different RE and people require different types of stimming...

Baby Hope - yep, starting Lupron on Monday and pssible ER on the 14th.. So we'll be pretty close.. What area of the US are you in?

I have to admit, now that it is becoming real and my DH and I are actually starting this process, I often wonder about doing IUI's - should I have? I could have become PG on the very fisrt try!! We are unexplained fertilit - there is no medical reason why we wouldn't have gotten PG with IUI.. But then I think about the 3 people personally that I know who had to do IVF - all 3 did several failed IUI's, and HAD to resort to IVF - which worked on the 1st time.. So...I dunno... Must be patient and wait..

Oh I have a question perhaps someone can answer: How come time moves so much slower during this time? Do more hours actually get put into a day ?? I just had no idea. And I'm not even to the hard part yet!! ha ha. But for real, any suggestions on how to just keep busy would be great.. Stressing cannot be good, and I don't want to think about everything too much :)

ajdec - Still so happy about reading about that BFP !! You are awesome.

I didn't have a problem doing IUI's. I figured it was another step to take and I didn't want to jump into IVF. I didn't do IUI's with injectibles so I didn't have the cost of the drugs. If I didn't have insurance coverage, I think I would have gone straight to IVF especially if the IUI's were with injectibles. IUI's is more of a gamble then IVF and if you are paying $2000 for drugs then you might as well pay the extra and do IVF. That is just my 2 cents. Like it really matter since all of us are past the IUI stage and doing IVF.

foreverlove - I also had a headache the first few days of the pill. Hopefully yours will go away soon. I also get headaches from the Lupron.

Sprouthaus - Welcome to the board, sorry you last cycle didn't work. This cycle will be the one for you.

Wonderance - That is awesome you have 3 eggs that fertilized. As Adjec can testify, it only take one but we have a lot less stress when we have more eggs to choose from.

So I guess you can tell I am board. This is like the 3rd time I posted today. I have 40 more minutes to go and I am off of work.
