Hey girls I had my beta today and it was 48. The nurse said she would like to see it higher but we'll just have to wait till wednesday now, she wants it to go up 60%. I told her I took a HPT on thursday and it was positive so shouldn't the number be way higher by now. She said well you'd think so but not to worry yet. YEAH RIGHT I've already been bawling lol
I dont know how far along you are ? I think you still have a chance for a great outcome cause from what I have learned its not the number but the doubling rate...anyway heres something I found that may help about beta numbers. Theres a great website do this but I cant rememeber it

Val,
I felt compelled to reply to your post, I've been there with the low beta..it hasn't worked for me, but my highest was 41, and my RE said they look for 50, so I think there is definitely hope for you!!! I agree with toobee!
It SUCKS to be on the cusp, but remember God has a plan for you and he can do anything! I'm praying for you and your little one...

Toobee is correct, it is the second and third beta that really matters.
My first beta was 38 or near there and my second was 87 or near there. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant, and doing well. Baby is measuring perfect and I have had no complications.
I totally understand the worrying. I remember distinctly that phone call when I got the first beta, and all I could do was cry. I was so terribly worried. I was glad when I was told that the first really can't determine much at all and as long as it is over 7 or 8 then you just have to try to relax as best you can. I almost wish that I didn't take that know the first number.
val8375 - Wishing you the best of luck with your Beta tomorrow. I have seen lots of ladies have beta's in your range or lower and go on to successful pregnancies. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I know you have heard this in earlier posts.. but, I have a few friends that started out with an HCG that was on the lower side.. and they went ahead and had wonderful pregnancies!!!
So, we will all be thinking about you that the next beta doubles... and you will be on your way!
