I'm just 5 weeks today (first beta 340, second beta 1,334)...and I'm trying to be very calm and trying to not freaking out over every little twinge my body makes. But...just for a bit of reassurance...a little cramping or twinge is normal, right? It's not really that painful or even that often...just comes and goes, maybe once or twice a day...
Any reassuring notes would be appreciated! Thanks!
Yes I'm sure that's perfectly normal - I had sort of strange twingy shooting pains in my first 12 weeks and I read that it is the uterus changing and expanding so don't worry. I know it's really really hard to relax till you get past the first trimester (and even after that!) but do try and out your feet up and enjoy the feeling of being PREGNANT - HOORAY!! Take Care and Congratulations. Love Vicky

Yes. It is perfectly normal and fine to be a little crampy and twingy still. I cramped till about 8 or 9 weeks and I'm STILL twingy at times. Your uterus has a passenger now and it's going through the changes that need to made to be pregnant for the next 8 months and that includes growing and stretching and cramping at this point. You and you baby are both fine.
And it's also normal for you to be freaking out over it all. When your further along you'll be on the boards here and looking at the same kind of posts that you just put up and remembering that you had felt the same way. I'm only 16 weeks and I can't tell you how many times I've seen the same kind of posts from the different women in early pregnancy asking the same things in one way or another. Just like I did...lol.
In other words, we're all paranoid and worry about everthing and your right where you should be as far as that goes. You'll calm down soon once your used to the way your body is changing and start to recognize that it's doing what it should with out anything bad happening.
If your bleeding or in severe pain that's a whole other ball game. Call your RE if that happens, but if it's not, enjoy the first signs of all this because it's what you've been waiting for and your going to be fine.
Lot of baby dust!!!!!!
It's perfectly normal. I had them too, AND was worried just like you. Congrats...enjoy your uterus expansion

Just to add to what everyone else is saying... I had cramps and even PAINFUL, doubled over pains at various times during pregnancy. It's the uterus stretching. Even long before you start to show, the uterus is stretched like crazy. I had two major uterus 'growth spurts' during my pregnancy- at the very beginning, and about week 20- which hurt like hell. It's normal. So the little twinge cramps are certainly fine. Don't worry. Congratulations!

Hi
I think you've got wonderful repies. Right on the ball. Pain is very common and it can be a bit more intense if you had surgeries before (some adherences stretching out, etc); also, the uterus is "cleaning up" before sealing the cervix, so there is cramping, too...
I was wondering about your numbers...too high! are you thinking about more than one baby? Let me know!
Congratulations and be calm!!!!
Best wishes, Literatriz
