Nice washbags

Post by Lisa Ch »

HI

hope everyone is well and bumps are getting BIG!!

Somebody asked about clothes earlier and H & M, Dorothy Perkins, Next and Mothercare have some reasonable things in. I started wearing them at about 9 weeks, they were to big but my clothes were getting tight and uncomfortable (and its better to be comfy!!!)

Anyway, I am in need of a wash bag that doesn't make me look like a great granny, has anybody got any ideas or seen any nice ones anywhere??

I go for my 20 week scan next week, so fingers crossed for that. Have decided against a buggy to start with and going to try and get a double pram, seen 3 styles but shops never seem to have any in - not much call they say, I feel like telling them they haven't seen our message board recently
I am off work today and the snow is just lying, hope it doesn't turn icey I hate that.

Must make a move and get ready
Take care
Love Lisa xx

hi Lisa

Not sure about washbags - I have a Brics one that matches my luggage - I've told Dh I want a new Brics Bag on wheels to take to the hospital.....I'm still waiting!!

As for double pushchairs....a subject I just love! The Mountain Buggy which we have ordered also has the option of either a Basinet carrycot or two separate carrycots that both fit on the chasis of the pushchair. This means you don't end up buying a buggy and a pram.

Not sure where you live but near us in Leeds there is a nursery store that has all the double buggies/prams - we were very naughty and went and test drove them there and then bought them cheaper via John Lewis. There is also a twin shop in Haywards Heath (near Jules) called Tiny tinkers....I think. They also stock the full range. And Kiddicare in Peterbro have a wide range in stock too.

Good luck - its so exciting deciding which one to buy! I can't believe you are 19 weeks already......it seems to be going soooooooo quickly for everyone!!!

Thanks Nicola and Tracey, hope you have both recovered from your weekend! or more to the point your dh's have!

No I haven't tried Debenhams yet, so thats a good idea thanks.

Think we have decided on an Emmaljunga 2 in 1 pram, we have been trying it out to see if it fits into our car, it does just, it means that the top part will have to rest on the front seat and if more than 1 of us are out with them that person can sit in the middle in the back. At least I won't be giving lifts to all and sundry any more because they won't be able to fit in . I prefer the idea that the babies will be facing me and then when they are older I can turn the top around and they can face out and have a good nosey round. (just like their mother!!)

We have also decided on cots, so now need to look into car seats. Will try and be organised to order things after my 20 week scan, then I can look for the bits and pieces. We are going to do there room in Millie and Boris from Mamas and Papas, thought it was really neutral and would go whatever sex(es) we have.

Take care

OMG a pram/pushchair that I don't know about.....I'm off to investigate immediately!!!!!

Lisa you are so organised!!! I love Millie and Boris stuff and easy to get hold of too......unlike bloody Paddington Bear - whose stupid idea was that!! Thanks to TS I now have lots of bits and pieces though.

As for the luggage, my @rse will I go blue waiting for it - he knows its best to keep me happy otherwise I'll go out and buy it myself and just so happen to bring back the matching new handbag - if he's not careful!!!

Probably getting in to trouble for this but there were some lovely emaljunga's for sale on ebay last week - hardly used by the look of it - mind you think you have enough in the "wheels"dep't!
As for your luggage - had to smile - my DH reckons you will definately be going to Majorca - the 4 of you - Lisa - Nikola is trying to get to Majorca for some sun for a week when the twins are around 6 months - DH is putting his foot down and suggested she go on her own or with her mother!
The Mama's and Papa's stuff is lovely. N - Paddington is cool in the very extreme and you don't have to have loads - just to jazz up the room. I mean a Steiff bear (which I know is yours!) would be wasted on them. Will get them some more bits next time I am on!

Hi Girls

Lisa your 20wks scan has come round quick, mine is the 12th March and I can't wait all being well I will be out shopping for baby bump from that day onwards.

Tracey you seem a big ebay fan like myself, Im not sure about the maternity knickers and bra's though!

The pram dilemma is a tough one my DH and I are so undecided what to go for I want the system that does it all and looks fab.
