Her dr. said 72 hours bed rest following embryo transfer. She is a VERY healthy 22 year old. The did IVF w/ICSI due to severe male factor. We are praying that God blesses them with a baby, because there is no money to do this again. She had two good embryos, and like all of you say, it only takes one! Hopefully since she is so healthy and (supposedly) fertile, this will work for them.
Blessings to you all!

Morning Everyone....just wanted to say sorry for being quiet for a while.

I'm feeling incredibly low and pessimistic. Exactly the opposite of how I should be feeling I know. Not sure why I feel this way. ET is tomorrow, so it could the meds - I've been super emotional and v. easy to wind up recently. I'm so aware that this is our final try and FET odds are so low.

It's our choice not to keep going after we've used our final 2 eggs tomorrow. It's the right decision, but also makes me so sad. We have a wonderful baby from our first IVF cycle in 2002 so feel very selfish for feeling like this.

Will try and snap out of it. About to walk into town to the clinic for a jab.

Good luck to everyone and I'll repeat PMA PMA PMA PMA as I walk.
Debra.

Hi all,
LoopyLou - hilarious scan story. Made me giggle.
Miracle - I can't believe you had to hold yours as well. We could write a book with all these stories. The only one ive got is when the (male) doctor took a call from his wife while scanning me :x .
Wendy - hope the tummy feels a bit better.
Debra - of course you can feel gutted and upset so don't feel guilty. Good luck for et, Did you really chant PMA all the way to the clinic. Did you get any odd looks.
gRANDMA - I can't help sorry as dont know anything about the patches. On the website fertility friends there is a message board for asking the nurses/specialist a question. May be they can help. Hope your daughter is OK.
Better go. I am off work this week and meant to finish grouting the tiles in the bathroom today. However, I want to go shopping, and haven't even walked the dog yet. She still stinks from the fox's poo, so I'm going to throw her ball in the sea and hopefully this will cleanse her (and maybe freeze her so actually not quite sure if its a good idea).
I'm still gutted about my shrinking follicles. Can't belive the scan last friday cost me about £150 and they got it so wrong (said I had 16 follies, when really Ive only got 10 and they re half the size she said they were). I'm gonna ask for a refund!
HOPE ALL OF YOU ARE OK. PMA PMA PMA PMA - From Sophie-Jane

Hi all
What a weekend!! BT decided to have a fault on my line which they couldn't fix until today so no internet access....aaargh!! Do they not know what this can do to a hormonal woman!
Had my 1st scan yesterday... only 7 follies and a gunk filled tube which is taking over my left ovary. Had the other tube removed last year so I shall have to chance it on the one good one.
Sophie Jane ... just think that the follies you have left have more space to grow now and they'll be good and stong for you!
Debra... keep chanting PMA PMA.. it's what keeps us going
Beckncraig.... fingers are crossed this week for you!
Dh will be away for my 2ww assuming that ec and et go according to plan so I'll have noone to nag... poor dog will most probably get all my grief... poor pooch!
Lots of luck to all

waiting

Post by katefirth »

Hi All

Been for blood test again this morning (day 7) so waiting patiently for results this afternoon. Need to get my levels up if my treatment is to continue (only 657 yesterday - should have been around 1000). Will be happy with 3 good follies if it comes to it - if not I will probably ask about IUI - afterall don't want to waste all the drugs I've been on! Anyone else had to do anything like that?

I only had 7 follies last time resulting in 6 embies (2 replaced, 2 frozen, 2 did nothing). So I know that huge numbers are not always necessary!

Baby dust to all

Hi all,
Kate - I can't help with your questions .. sorry. Are you talking about your oestrogen levels? Hope the result of the blood test has come through and that it is GOOD NEWS ... these clinics do keep us hanging on don't they.
Kathryn - welcome back. When is your ec?

I've done absolutley nothing (well nothing constructive) on my day off today. Have done no grouting of the tiles (oops dh told me that was one thing I needed to do today), but lots of walking around shops and coffee with friends. This not working laugh is a ball. Am definitely going to consider going part time. Emotionally a bit better today - only 2 crying sessions!!
SENDING BIG GOOD LUCKS TO YOU ALL AND HOPE ALL IS WELL.

Hi everyone,

ET went well and I’m now just trying to take care of my embies. I had some good news in that my pg blood test is earlier than I thought – next wed, so one week of the 2ww has nearly passed already!

DebraP – good luck for ET tomorrow

Sophie Jane – glad to see you’re feeling a bit better, don’t worry your follies have still got a few more days to grow

Grandma – not sure about patches, I’ve got two lots of pessaries and tablets.

Beckncraig – hope your doing ok, not long now

Trying to keep up the PMA :D :D :D

Just got home from visiting my daughter. She is bloated and feeling nauseous, but no more dizziness. I don't know how you girls stand the waiting. I'm very concerned about my daughter, because her husband will be away from home for his job from March 1-14. She finds out March 5 if she is pregnant or not.
God bless you all.

Thank you for your replies

My bloods came back yesterday but they couldn't tell me what they were as they had gone down to the Scan room! The positive thing was they reduced my stims (thought that had to be a good sign). Went this morning to the clinic for scan and bloods and I have 7 follies that seem to be doing OK (not fabulous but they weren't last time). My blood levels had almost doubled (E2 levels) so v. pleased.

Thanks for the support - you learn more from these sites than you could ever learn from the clinics!

I'm afraid I haven't quite worked out who everyone is and where you are all up to with your cycles but baby dust to everyone.

Hi all,
I've just come back from the clinic. I had my scan. I have absolutely massive follicles (25mm) and about 17 of them. I therefore think the clinic is taking the p**s with me. How can I have 16 follies (16mm - 12mm) on Fri - then go down to 10 follies (12mm - 9mm) on Monday - then back up to 17 follies (15mm - 19mm) today.
Dh thinks that they put me back a couple of days because they had too many booked for ec today. Either that or the nurse just didn't get it right on Monday. I definitely should of been having ec today. I just hope the eggs wont be too over cooked now. If they are I am gonna cause such grief. They've put me through an extra 2 days of crap.
Anyway - enough of my moan, at least I am now all OK for ec on Fri,a nd should be counting my lucky stars for that. I feel very sore and crampy. And my boobs are enormous - well for me they are (I'm usually a 34 AA, and am now the proud owner of A cup!). Now dont all get jealous of my jordans!

Grandma[/u] - has your daughter spoken to her clinic about the way she is feeling. I am no expert but I did pick up a leaflet today from the clinic all about 'ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome' (OHSS) after embro transfer. Nausea, vommitting, abdominal pain, thirst and decreased urine output. Give the clinic a ring and just check with them.
It sounds like you are a lovely Mum, and will be with your daughter to celebrate the good news on the 5th.

Hope everyone else is OK.
Dizzy and BecknCraig - look after those embies for us. Debra - say hello to your embies from me, and hope it all went well today.
Kate- so glad to hear that the scan and bloods went well.

LoopyLou - are you still on for ec on Friday. Hows your follies. Hope the scan was good today. I'll be really eager (and nosey) of course to see what size they were. I'm now having a panic that mine are too big. I feel like Ive got such bad constipation. Do you?. Isn't it weird that we talk so basic with people we have never met!!!!!!!
Wendy - we haven't heard from you in a while. What did the embriologist say about the embies - have you had et. Hope you are OK.
Kathryn - you seem to be catching us up. Good follies. Your next scan should be tomoorow so good luck for then.
Belinda and Miracle - hope you are both OK.

Love to you all. Sorry to those I've missed off.
