So it looks like I am waiting to be approved for the board. I think it will take a few minutes, but not sure. Tried following the link they sent me and it just says the account has not been approved yet.

Think I will take a break and buy some halloween candy!

Hello Ladies:

I finally started AF and am scheduled for HSG x-ray on 11/10. It looks like I will be able to proceed with my frozen cycle before the Christmas break. I am excited!

Hey Kelly,

Do you think I should post my follow up questions in separate threads in SIRM? Also are you a patient there? They seem to be up on the EPP protocol. I will def use my clinic this round, but I am now torn between CCRM and SRIM for next round. Heh, they have one in Las Vegas which DH says is WAYYYYYYY more fun then Denver (CCRM). CCRM has cutoffs which I might not make, but I believe and maybe you can correct me that SIRM does not?

If you don't get responses by this afternoon then yes but give it a little time. Also, i see that Dr. Sher has already answered you but he kind of got lost in the big picture and did not address the main point about the short luteal phase. Reply to him, thank him and redirect him to that one issue. Many people get on there, ask a question and never bother to thank the doctors for their time. It blows me away.

I LOVE VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was really torn between CCRM and SIRM as well. The thing that help me make my mind up was how they report their successes. CCRM's criteria for a an ongoing pregnancy is us evidence of pregnancy. That can be a gestational sac, blighted ovum, ectopic etc. which is all that SART requires. SIRM does not report to SART. They feel like it compares apples to oranges. They us a different system that breaks down cases it to categories of complexity. They have their stats on their website but it is broken down for you. Also, their criteria for an ongoing pregnancy is viable pregnancy with heartbeat at 10 weeks. For those reasons i think CCRM may be seen as the leader of the pack because the numbers are skewed. That is just my opinion.

I pm'd you and gave you a break down of my plan of attack at SIRM.

Good luck in whatever you decide. But you really may consider the embryo banking approach i am using as our eggs are getting older by the day.

Yeah based on all that and the cutoffs at CCRM, I am now thinking of doing SIRM instead.

Hi Ladies,
I will turn 41 next week. Today I started my stims. I have high FSH. Today my ultrasound showed only four follies. That is cycle day two for me. I will be doing 450 follistim a day and also low dose hcg. I will also do ganerelix and progesterone in oil. November 11th is the expected day of retrevial. Give or take a few days. And transfer around 14th or 16th. I have never done IVF before. I was only given a ten percent chance of take home baby. I do have two children. A DD 19 years old and a DS 14. My husband doesn't have any children and we really want one together. We basically have one shot at this. It is like playing the lottery. My insurance doesn't cover any of this. Very expensive when paying out of pocket. Its hard to remain stress free when you have to worry about the debt. But it would be worth every penny. Have any of you tried accupuncture? I hear it works. Good luck to you all.

Hi Rhonda, don't worry about the few follies at this stage of the game. Most people will get a lot more by trigger time.

Yes, it is very stressful when you are self pay. Unfortunately most of us are. There are just a lucky that have any infertility coverage.

Welcome aboard. Please keep us posted.

Hello ladies:

Sorry I have not been around for a bit. I see everyone is moving along. I am so happy for everyone.

Only have a few minutes since we just got home.

I had my donor ER today. WE got 23 eggs. RE said we should get some beautiful embies from them. I will get my fert report tomorrow, then Wednesday they are off for PGD. PGD report does not get back until 1ush on Friday, so my ET will be sometime that afternoon.

Lynniecat: I am with Sirm, They are great and their doctors are what I believe to be the best RE's as well as the most compassionate. You would be in great hands... They also are the only center that offers CGH testing for ladies like us of advance maternal age.. I hate that term..... I have also heard wonderful things about CCRM.

I will let you know about my report tomorrow..

HI ladies:

Well I got my fert report.

They got 25 not 23. 24 mature and 20 fertilized. We are so excited, I cannot wait until Wednesday to see how they are doing before they biopsy them for PGD. They will call and let me know what time ET is on Friday.. I think we are going to wait until Friday to decide how many once the PGD report comes back and see the % of fragmentation, how many 0% but we will have to wait and see.

Elda, great news. At first I thought they were your eggs and I has serious follie envy, then I realized they were donor eggs and had serious follie envy! ;-)

I may be using donor eggs soon and this gives me great hope! Awesome you have 20 embryos. Are you in a split cycle or are they all yours?

Hey Kelly, I am supposed to be starting estrogen this coming Sunday and then stims 4 days later. So on NOV 8th, I start estrogen, and Nov 12th I start stims. That puts me at a ER around the 24th and transfer back on the 27th! TDAY!
