Wow Karen, I just realized that three of us had our ET's on the exact same day! You, me and wickedwheel :) We all have different beta days though, that's kinda wierd. My doc wants me to have two beta tests, two days apart, I wonder if that's normal?

Melissag - So sorry that your cycle didn't work. I know it sucks. Cry a few tears and try to enjoy the things that you couldn't while cycling. Wishing you the best of luck in the future.

prayin4BFP - That was really cute about the chipmunks. I guess they also deserve to have a halloween also.

Kas - I know you have to be fumming at your Re's office. I was getting pissed myself just reading your post. How dare they say that you would be OK a few months ago and now say you won't make it and will be delayed. I would understand if you AF were way off or something like that but if you are still on the same schedule then there should be no reason for you to be delayed. Hope you find outsome good news tomorrow.

JennLB25 - Sorry your cycle was pushed back, but time fly's and you will be cycling in no time. At least now you can enjoy the holidays and not worry about being on drugs and going to appointments.

Love_my_baby
- I drink alcohol now and then on Lupron. There is no warning against it. You can also take it while doing stims. I ususally don't just because my body is already messed up and I don't want to mess it up more with alcohol.

detroit2007 - Welcome to the board. You have had a really busy
year. As far as AF I ususally spot for 3 or 4 days before a full AF. Hope you get your soon so you can start again. Are they going to mix up your protocol next time?

rwb08 - Welcome to the board. Haven't heard of too many people
pre-ovulating but I know it is possible. Glad they were able to save some. Keep us posted on your cycle.

Melo_P - Good luck at ER tomorrow.

xcited2Bpreggers & GRATEFUL - Welcome to the board. Looking forward to hearing about your BFP.

robin611 - 7 fertilized is a good #. Baby dust to you.

havbaby1627 - Lupron seems like it is never ending. I have been on 10 u
for the past 9 days and am still using the same bottle I opened on my last
cycle. I would think you should be fine but I don't think that Lupron is really expensive so if it eases your mind you might get some more.

JDC - It is about time we get our cycle's in gear. Can't wait till we get
our BFP's. So are you starting stims a few days after AF?

Hope all the rest of our 2ww gals are doing good.

Nothing really new with me. AF is here so now just waiting for my appointment on Wednesday. If I get the OK to start stims, I will then finally order my meds. I am kind of getting exciting.

Hi girls,
Wow, there's been lot's of posting this weekend. Hope everyone had a fun Halloween. We didn't do much, just stayed in and handed out candy to the little ghouls in the neighborhood. It's always fun to see them all dressed up. Karen, good for you for getting out and having some fun. If we had a party to go to, I would have been all for it. :D

Sloan, congratulations on your BFP!!! That's wonderful news! You must be so excited. Keep us posted after your next b/w.

Jenn, hope you're healing quickly from your surgery. At least you have some time between now and the first of the year to get prepared and enjoy the holidays. It will be here before you know it!

Robin, glad your ER went so well. Your report sounds great, that's a lot of embies. I'll be curious to see if you go with the 3 or 5-day transfer.

Gina, good luck tomorrow and hopefully you are on your way to ER this week.

Chris, good to hear you'll be getting started soon. I know I usually didn't start really getting excited until I got on the meds. Sounds like you'll find out Wed.

Melissa, so sorry to hear your news. I know most of us have gotten the BFN's before and that's what brought us together on this board. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that we are thinking of you and wishing you the best.

Love my baby, I also wondered about having a couple of drinks while on the meds. I will say that I had a few throughout my Lupron and stimming meds but stopped a few days before ER. If I have to do this again though, I will probably refrain because somehow I feel like that couldn't have helped the fact that I had 9 follies and ended up with only 4 eggs. Maybe I'm wrong though. I guess everyone is different.

Detroit welcome! It looks like you and I have had our fair share of IUI's. Hopefully the IVF will be different.

Rwb, I think I've heard of pre-ovulation but it hasn't happened to me yet. Maybe someone else can offer some insight.

Havbaby, you must be so glad to have your mom in on the secret now. I talk to mine at least once a week or more about the latest news and it's so helpful to have someone besides DH to talk to about it. Of course, this board has been my favorite place to come chat. You're getting closer to ER!

Melo, good luck tomorrow. Keep us posted.

xcitedtbpreggers, welcome to the board and the 2ww! I know what you mean about being on pins and needles. I'm right there with ya. And Grateful, glad to have you here too and am also hopeful that God blesses us all.

NY4thtry, good luck! We'll be thinking of you.

I don't think Thursday can get here quick enough!

hi all,

melissa, i'm so sorry about your news  .. i hope that you don't lose hope- this is a time to have your grief, but to also pull out that strength within you and listen to your heart- if it tells you to persevere....-then persevere. from your background- you seem like a great candidate to keep trying- you're young, you've got eggs, it just hasn't been your time yet. sometimes i think god is testing me to see if i really, really want a baby (i've been a 'career' woman, very independent, married later at 32 ect)... and i have a friend who went through about 8 IUI's and 3 IVF's and finally got PG on her 4th IVF- she has a 1 1/2 yr old son!! she's the poster-woman for perseverance. hope i don't sound like i'm talking out of my #$%, just trying to reach out the hand of hope to you :)

NY- good results on your eggs, very encouraging...lets hope all 10 fertilize, or that those 7 do GREAT. i'm very happy for you and i BELIEVE THIS IS YOUR TIME

hi wonder, chris- so great to hear you excited again!! that kind of hope is contagious!! and JDC- you too! stims are almost here for you

and excitedtobepreggers- YES- why is my beta after everyone elses??!! YIKES. my ER was Oct 27 (so it was a 3 day transfer), that could have something to do with it. but, really i think my clinic is just torturing me!
and re: your beta question, some clinics do beta's a couple days apart, others a week apart...mine is a week later, this is to ensure the pregnancy is still developing, beta #'s should at least double every two days (i think?)..often if an initial beta # is on the low side, this can indicate a chemical pregnancy, and also it is just sometimes true that very early pregnancy's just 'go away' - stop developing.

so really- the 1st beta is just the first hurdle. and after the 2nd beta, then i wait for a u/s around weeks 7-8 of pregnancy, where a heartbeat can be detected- this is when you can really celebrate as the likelihood of m/c after a heartbeat drops to about 5% (this happened to me last time though- but the h/beat was low, which is an indicater of probable m/c). maybe you could add some background to your 'signature' of your history so we can all see best how to support you? (go to your 'profile' and update) cheers to all! karen
38 yrs. DOR, TTC since '04, recommended DE but didn't listen
3 IVF's & 1 FET: 1 cancellation, 1 m/c @ 12 wks, 1 chemical, 1 miracle boy & miracle 'natural' PG right now while waiting to cycle (WTF?)

Thanks so much to those who replied about the Lupron. I wasn't sure if it was just me or what but, it's a relief to know it's lasted for you guys and not to worry. Also, that it's not that expensive so, if I wanted to order it just in case I could. I didn't know what cost what when I got mine. Just the huge total so...thanks! :)
Yes, it's very comforting to have my Mother in on all this. She's a big supporter and a huge help with all this. It's nice to have her checkin in on how things are going.
I am so sorry to hear about the results you had Melissag, I can only imagine how upset you must be but in the meantime take some time for yourself and remember that you can try again and hopefully the next time, everything will work out. Hope and faith is all you can have with this.
I get worried here and there whether or not this is going to work but, I just remind myself to think positively and hope for the best. Everything will work out as it should, when it should. I am doing all I can to try and make this happen so...just let God handle the rest.
Good luck to all those going in for procedures or tests this week. I wish you all the best and will be praying for everyone!!!
And last but not least - CONGRATULATIONS Sloan!!! That's absolutely wonderful! You must be grinning from ear to ear! :D
