Has anyone gotten a negative hpt and then a positive beta?

Post by bonnie_bc »

I tested this morning and my hpt was negative. My beta is tomorrow but I don't have much hope for it now. Does anyone have a different story with this???

I could never bring myself to test before the official blood test for this reason . . . I didn't think I could stand the increased intensity of the not knowing . . .

Good luck - I'm wishing for a BFP for you tomorrow!

The day before my Beta I did a HPT and it came back negative. I drank three glasses of wine and cried. The next day after I did my blood work, my husband and I were at the RV dealership about to buy a new RV for road trips as a consolation prize when the call came that I was pregnant!
Don't trust the HPT 100%. If your beta scores are high, it will predict accurately, but if you are starting out low or have diluted urine, it will give a false negative. Sometimes it happens. So wait and see, okay?

I got a BFP!!!! My numbers are low though so that's why it didn't pick up on the test. I think I had late implatation because I didn't spot or cramp until the last couple of days. I go back for my 2nd test on Friday!!!!!

Deestar: I transferred 2 eggs on 10/24. Just yesterday, I finally have sore bbs!!! That made me happy, which is weird to any normal female but I think us IVF chicks will take anything! Ha! I have also been crampy and spotty all week. It's pretty calm today though. Just waiting for my 2nd beta results to come in. Should be about an hour!!! Oh, I hope the numbers have gone up!
