They are all ours the donor is actully a friend of my daughters. So we know all about her and her family history including health. I like the fact that we will always know about her health in case anything creeps up on her, we know to look out for it in the baby. but as far as now, she is very healthy as is her entire family...

Wow! You are very lucky! I have a volunteer, but she is 38 and my RE says I really want to look for someone who is 32 or younger! I understand that and it makes sense. I do like knowing the donor though. No sisters and my female cousins are 13, 35 and 37....so a nice big gap where the right age group would be! Sigh!

So here I sit worrying cause my temp did not go up after my LH peak. I worry I did not ovulate. Also thought I saw spotting which will screw up the EPP! Sigh, I probably imagines it! Bad idea to where red undies! LOL!

We have (7) 5 cell grade 2 (4) 6 cell grade 2 (5) 7 cell grade. As of 11 am these were the ones that have enough cells for PGD... However we were told we also have (4) 4 cell grade 2 that by the time of biopsy might get to 5 as well.. She is going to call me later this afternoon to let me know if they made it to 5 cells.. So as of right now we have 16 good to go to PGD testing..
So excited, we cannot wait for ET this Friday. Have to run, be back, I need to go put a heating pad on my hip, the nerve is still bad from that shot...

Wow, that is excellent. Crazy last minute questions...but can they do that day 5 CGH testing? That is where they wait till day 5, then take some cells and test them. Takes 6 weeks, so they freeze them and put them back later when you know the genotypes of everything!
Kelly is going to do this at SIRM!

Not really sure about the AF thing. I had AF 5 days after failed cycle, I had to shed a 22mm lining so It last a full 2 week. My next AF was right on schedule.. I would not wait. I would get in touch with my RE asap.
Lynniecat:
I belive that CGH is only done on day 5. PGD is on day 3.. after they do a biopsy, they wait until they get to blast then freeze them. They then thaw the CGH normal ones that are chosen, usually 6 to 8 weeks later as a FET...
Ill keep you posted about my other 4. I am waiting for the call now, when my nurse called me wth my ET time, the embriologist was doing the biopsy and she did not want to interupt her.. I do hope they made it to 5 cells as well.

Elida i am soooooooo happy for you. You will be knocked up in no time.
Renee, i would go to ivfconnections and post you question. It is a huge free ivf board. I know you will get lots of help there.
Lynn, as far as i know only CCRM and SIRM does CGH. CCRM only does biopsies on blasts and SIRM does them on eggs or day 3 embryos. They prefer the later. Recently there has been much debate about which approach is better. One lady on the Colorado board asked me if i was a SIRM shill because i always direct people to their website to read about CGH. Well, hell it is the only place that you can find info on it at all. And it is the only place you can post questions to multiple docs for free. I wanted to reach through the computer and slap her.
hello everyone.
I had ultrasound and BW today. I have around 8 follies now. it is stim day 6. I only had four a couple days ago so i guess thats good. I really wish i had more, but at 41 well i will be 41 friday, i guess thats normal. I dont feel too encouraged though. but i guess it only takes one huh? I sure need some encouragement right about now. My RE changed my follistim to 600 iu a day. so we will see.
everyone take care. Keep me informed.

Rhonda, 8 on 6 days of stims is awesome. You should have a lot more at the rate you are going. But if not 8 is still great!!!!
Elida, tomorrow is the next big day. It will be hard to sleep tonight.
Renee, did you ever get an answer? Hey, go to haveababy.com and post the question to the REs in every region. It is free to join and they will answer your questions even if you are not their patient. Between them and ivf connections i know you will have a lot of info to go on.
