Hi guys,
Sorry I've been MIA. I swamped with work and school...
bonnie - Congratulations on your BFP!!! That's awesome. I'm so happy for you and your DH! I hope that I'm right behind you... :-)

kas
- Ugh, that is so frustrating! I had some really frustrating moments with my clinic too but I love my RE so I stayed with it. At least you don't have to wait until January!

wonderce
- Thinking about you & your beta test today. I hope you get a BFP!!!

kke
- I was on stims for 12 days but I think I read somewhere it could go for even longer than that. By the time day 12 rolled around I was so bloated I could only wear sweats and couldn't bend over, but I got 14 eggs (10 mature ones) so I think it was worth it.

As for me, hanging out here in the 2WW. For those of you who have been there, did you find yourself talking to the little embies? I'm think I'm going crazy encouraging them to grow and stick... :-) Did you feel anything after the first few days of transfer?
Thanks!

-Robin

Hi Robin,

this is my second trial and I am presently on the stimulation for one week.

After the ET the first trial, I had cramps, mostly, what matters most now is for you, to take it easy as much as possible, and avoid anxiety, stress, or anything that may disturb your total well being.

Try to eat a lot of healthy meals, dont forget to take some nuts, liver, greens wheat bran or what germ, as it improves fertilisation rate.

Fruits include, pineapple, papaya, to mention but a few.

Keep us all posted and best of luck mally :D

well I had my saline ultrasound yesterday and everything looks normal!

The only disappointment of the meeting was finding out insurance approval has been slow lately so we thought we'd get to start injections within 2 weeks, now it looks like it'll be more like 4 weeks. So until then they'll keep me on continuous bcps (no period this cycle i guess) and therefore ER won't be til mid Dec.

Who knows, I may still have a great xmas present awaiting me! God I think if I don't get a BFP i'm going to go insane :) (and drive dh insane too)

Congrats to the BFPs on this board and Good Luck to all the women going for ER and ET. It's so exciting watching everyone update their follie-#s and embryo grades.

To have Fun - I feel what your going through.. I posted on Monday that I was supposed to start stim meds on Monday, but my doctors office called that afternoon and my E2 levels were too low. So they doubled my Lupron dosage, and I had to go in this morning - Thurs - to re-do b/w. They'll call me later to tell me if the levels came down enough. But for some reason, I don't hold out much hope that I came down that much. They were at 146 on Monday. I think the doc wants to see it around 50 or lower!! S.. looks like I won't be doing this cycle. We'll take up again at the end of December I suppose. Its just depressing.

Love_my_baby- It might work for you. My body just never has low E2 levels. I think most clinics have their cutoff level at 70 or 80. On both cycles that I did get to stim my level was 80. Also, even if your levels are not low enough today, they still might keep you on Lupron for another week. This is my RE's plan. If my levels are not low enough next week then they will have me do another week. So there is still hope. Don't give up.

I spoke with my RE's office and they said they couldn't up my dosage because they are afraid that I will over suppress. My fist cycle I was on 20 u and it over suppressed me. So I asked if I could do 15U. Well they don't have a protocol with 15U. I guess no thinking out of the box for them. So I am taking matter in my own hands. I am upping my dosage to 15u and see what happens. If it does over suppress me that will just be my fault, my cycle will be canceled and I will be out the money for meds. I just don't think my body will respond to 10u so I figure I will get canceled one way or another so I might as well give 15 u a shot. I really want to cycle before the end of the year. I hate waiting. Also, hopefully DH will have another job by the beginning of the year so I won't have his insurance coverage. So I really really need to finish this cycle.

To Have Fun I am praying and hoping that when the doc does call this afternoon, it will be to say that my levels are low enough. I just don't know. I'm preparing myself for the worst you know..

If they are not low enough, they can't keep me on for longer, because my doc only does IVF every 3 months. So, I basically only have till the end of November to do my cycle. And the last week of Nov is Thanksgiving, so that's pretty much out... So, if they kept me on Lupron for any longer, that would push back the date I would start stimming, which would push back ER, etc... Not enough time :( So, they just reassured me this morning that "Even if your levels have not come down, and you can't do this cycle, you'll start back on meds at the end of Dec. for the doctor's next IVF month".. Sucks.. I just didn't want to go through these holidays in limbo you know.. I wanted to be PG for Christmas.

I hope that your levels come down! I love that you're kind of taking things into your own hands to get the job done.. I can't believe they said they couldn't put you on 15 IU of Lupron!! Makes perfect sense to me : if 20 is to much, but 10 doesn't do the job, go to 15!!

Chris, sorry you aren't suppressing enough to get started. I can't blame you for increasing your Lupron the 5 units just to see if that works. Sometimes we do have to take things into our own hands. I hope this works for you and want you to be able to get started so badly. You've really been patient.

Not Hopeless, keep thinking positive. Maybe the upcoming holidays will help keep your mind occupied and like you said, you'll hopefully get that Christmas present you've wanted so much.

Elida, good luck tomorrow! Will be thinking of you.

NY4thtry and Melo, my fingers are crossed for you too.

Babyhope, your story about the birds (aka. storks) was so cute. Thanks for the positive energy.

Kas, congrats on being back on track. Glad you took a stand and got the results you deserved. Keep us posted after your next appt.

Robin, Adjec, Chris, Karen (you are next!), Havbaby, and everyone else who was thinking of me today...thank you! It means so much to know that we all want this so badly for each other. And I got the news this morning, that I'm officially PG! I got a BFP!! :D :D :D
I could hardly stop shaking when they called to give me the news and I was crying so hard I could barely tell my DH. He thought it was bad news until I could get myself together. Anyway, I wish the best for all of you and still want to stay in touch and read all of your updates on this board. You have been so supportive. Now, the tough part is that we've only decided to tell our parents until I'm further along. I'm meeting some girlfriends tonight and it's going to be hard to keep the secret. Also, this was day 12 post transfer and my Beta was 109, E2 1300. I hope these #'s are good? The RE said they are strong, but I noticed Adjec and Sloan had higher Beta's. Should I be concerned?

Hi Ladies.... I joined in on 10/14/08 with my story. So u can go on pg 22 to read my story.

In a nutshell:
I am 31, with DH 15 yrs. We have a 10 yr old daughter, had tubal eptopic in 2000, was diagnosed with PCOS in 2007...

I started my first cycle of IVF Oct. Started BCP on 10/11, 20u of Lupron on 10/26. Last day of BCP was on 10/31. I am still on Lupron, no AF yet and I am going maad'. I am just waiting for my AF so that I can start Stims.

I apologize but I havent been keeping track of the posts.... but today on my spare time I went thru all 53 pages.

To all the ladies that have gotten their BFPs this cycle... BiG Congratulations!!! I am so happy for u, have a happy & healthy 40 weeks. And for those who havent, I am so sorry I will keep u in my prayers.

Well, according to my ER, since I stopped BCP on the 31st, it usually takes about 3-10 days for an af. SO hopefully I will be getting it this weekend and we can hopefully proceed with a Thanksgiving ET.

If all goes well, I have decided to transfer 2 embryos, and if possible I will do 3. I will keep the rest in the lords hands and see what he allows to stick. If it wasnt for my unable to bear children naturally, cuz my DH is fine with his little ones, married 15 years, we would have had at least 10 kids by now. But it didnt happen. So hopefully, with this IVF cycle, I am hopeing to be blessed. I will accept as many as God will bless me with. If it makes sense.

Well ladies, besides the Lupron which r not bad at all.... I have this terrible allergy cold which is driving me bananas. I have a headache, I feel tired... and I have been feeling crampy all week, but no AF.

I cant wait to get to my ER/ET... cuz we want to be PG so much. I am looking forward to it ewveryday.

Well ladies, I am hoping to be more up to date with the posts and this forum....

for now, ladies OCT/NOV/DEC cycles... good luck.

wonderce -- CONGRATULATIONS! Oh I know how excited you feel...enjoy it! And yes, it's HORRIBLY difficult to not tell. Only my mom and a couple of friends know. It's so hard! lol Although I did tell my boss the other day, figured she deserved to know...especially since DH and I work together so we'll both be taking some time off next June! :-) Congrats again!

Bonnie and Wonderce - CONGRATS!!!! I'm so happy for both of you!
Wonderce - yes, CARS is in Asheville. That's where we are going.

I had my ER yesterday and I was not expecting it to be that painful. I was awake for it- they had given me oral pain medications and something to relax me but it was very painful and still uncomfortable today. I had 19 eggs which I was really happy with. I find out later today if fertilization has taken place and then go Saturday for ET.

Good luck to everyone in their 2WW; I'll be there with you soon. Hang in there to everyone else in different stages of their cycles!
TTC for over 4 years
HSG - tubes okay
DH semen analysis - good
Multiple clomid rounds and IUI - no sucess
On meds for first IVF attempt

WONDERCE - Congrats on your BFP!!!!
yah! I think your Beta sounds great. I think the betas can reflect how early or late implantation takes place ... but regardless that's a strong #. I told my parents and sibs but they all knew about IVF. They are good at keeping a secret. I also told two close friends as they were my support group while going through this... I think you should trust your instincts...
