FET in Nov

Post by amy27 »

Hi Cocosmama,
We will either be doing a FET around Thanksgiving or fresh. We have 3 frozen left over from our 1st IVF, but I wanted to stim again to see if I could get some 8 cell as the 3 frozen are 6 cell. We got pregnant with twins but lost them at 8 weeks due to NK cells that I wasn't aware I had.
Where are you at in your cycle? We started Lupron 8 days ago- No BC this time around as we are using a new doctor.

FET in Nov?

Post by hackney »

Hello,

Just got my BFN today. Since I have 2 blast in the freezer doctor says as long as my ovaries are quiet I can do my FET in November. Hopefully, 3 times is the charm!!!

I will also be doing a FET Thanksgiving weekend. This will be our 3rd FET. I am doing a natural cycle (no lupron or BC) but this cycle was cancelled due to no ovulation so they want to do a part medicated cycle in November using estrace (starting on 1st day of AF) and adding progestrone injections 5 days before transfer. Not sure if this is considered a medicated cycle or natural cycle. my other 2 FET's I used lupron with estrace and Prog.inj.

Hi guys. I am doing a natural cycle, so no BCPs or Lupron. I start the Vivelle patches as soon as AF arrives (in the next 2 weeks) and then PIO a few days before transfer. I think my transfer will be Thanksgiving weekend or around then.

I am excited to get started!

Hi everyone,

i am new to these boards- just joined yesterday! I was looking around to see if anyone else was doing a FET w/o lupron. i did an ivf cycle back in 04 and have 4 frozen embies left. My last attempt in june with a FET resulted in a BFN. I started this cycle on 11/1 and using only estrace and progesterone supp. w/o Lupron. My FET will probably be on the 20th?? will know a better date on friday when i go in to check my lining.
i wish you all best of luck this cycle and hope to see lots of BFP's!

Hope33:

I will be starting preparation for my frozen cycle over the Thanksgiving weekend. I will begin taking estrogen pills Thanksgiving weekend for ~2 weeks, then start the progesterone shots, just before transfer. I have 4 frozen eggs left over from my last IVF.
I believe the actual transfer will be the week before Christmas. I hope that my eggs survive the thaw, fertilize and make it to transfer.

Regards,
Tammy

Hey Teacher Tam

Just wanted to say good luck with number 2! I recognize you name from when I was cycling the first time around (Nov 05 - Feb 06) - and think maybe you and I got pg around the same time - or perhaps you were a little after?

Am also trying for a wee brother or sister for our DD now - unfortunately my frosties didn't come through for me earlier this year- but am on another round of IVF now - and have my beta coming up next monday (hating this 2ww business!!)

Good luck anyway - I'll check in to see how you go.

Hi to Everyone!!!

So glad to know that my protocol is the same as most others (w/o lupron). I am waiting for AF to start it is due today or tomorrow. Then will start the estrace pills 3 x day and PIO 5 days before transfer. I will transfer 5 of my frozen embies if they all make the thaw.
I am hoping to transfer Thanksgiving weekend.

Does anyone know of any success stories that the fresh cycle had a BFN but BFP with FET?

I just got my BFN today from Oct. IVF...I have 4 frozen blasts and am hoping to do my FET in Nov. My RE said it may be an early Jan. transfer (they don't schedule alot over the holidays) but they will see what they can do. How many do you all plan on transfering? This is such an emotional rollercoaster...I'm just so thankful to have ladies like you all to talk to and compare notes :)

DeeStar: Sorry to hear about your BFN. I also have 4 frozen eggs (not embies) that I am going to transfer right before Christmas.

M: Glad to hear that you are trying for a sibling for your DD. We would like a sibling for our DS too. He is 20 months old and would be 2.5 when the baby is born, if we are successful. Good luck on your upcoming beta!!

Brenda: There is a lady on another one of my sites that is currently pregnant with her 2nd child from the same batch of embies. Both pregnancies were FET.

Regards,
Tammy

Hi Everyone!

amy27- how are you doing with the stims? and your cycle so far?
Hackney- 3 is def a charm! Are you starting in Novemeber too?
Brenda- how much estrace are you taking? I am on 1mg in the am and 1 mg at night so far. I will see the Re on Friday to check out my lining. I had a FET with my first IVF due to being Hyperstimulated and that resulted in a BFP with my son. I never had a fresh cycle. The last FET I did was this past June and resulted in a BFN. This may sound weird but my RE the first time around used a vibrator thing after the transfer but with the second he didn't use it so now i am wondering if the vibrator thing helped the embies stick to the wall?????? Am i crazy for thinking this? I am contemplating wether or not to bring it up to him.... I have to be honest i am a little embarrassed
cocosmamma- have you started too? is your transfer scheduled?
teachertam - keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hope your eggies will make their journey and blossom. Will you be transferring all four once they are fertilized?
Melo_P- When will you be testing? Is it Monday the 17th? I can't wait to be in the 2ww!GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
Deerstar- Sorry about your BFN- Good luck with your next cycle. I was devasted my last FEt that didn't work out. You are right it is such an emotional rollercoaster ride. HAng in there... thank goodness for these boards.... I am planning on transferring 2 embies but i am worried since i only have 4 left. In 04 we had to thaw out 6 to get 2 and i got pregnant but this last time we thawed out 2 and they were both good but i got a BFN so i am HOPING 2 more will thaw out ok.....

This may be TMI- But i noticed on the estrace w/o the lupron my libido has skyrocketed! Anyone else??????
i have a sinus infection- must have caught it from my DS and i am on antibiotics do you think it will mess up my cycle? My Re said i can take anything at this point but not later but i am still worried!

Hope all is well!

Hi Guys,

Sounds like everyone is well on their way to do their FET I hope with the holidays this gives each and every one of us something to be thankful for.

I am still waiting for AF to show up it was due yesterday and no sign of it so far.

Hackney - is that standard protocol to start on estrace at lower level then increase it? This is my first FET without using lupron. and my RE told me that I will be on 3 pills 3xday. I just want this to work so much and not for them to be messing around with my meds (just to see if it works or not, I want something proven "golden standard" med protocol for natural cycle.

Good Luck to all and wishing everyone healthy thawed (& implanted ) embies!! :D

Hope33: Yes, we will transfer all embies that make it. I would be thrilled to have all 4 to transfer back, but the odds are against that. It is very unlikely that a woman over 40 has to worry about multiples greater than twins using her own eggs. During my last IVF, we transferred 5 embies back. Luckily, I was not successful then or I would not have my little Andrew right now.

Tammy
