FET in Nov?

Good Morning Ladies.

Brenda3, I am not sure what the standard protocol is. This is also my first FET transfer. I also am not using lupron. Apparently this is a new protocol that my doctor brought to the clinic in FL from NY. I guess we will find out tomorrow how it is working on my lining when I go to the DR tomorrow for my Ultrasound and blood work.

If anyone else has done a FET using Estrace, I would love to hear their protocol.

Brenda - isn't that how it always goes, when you want AF to come she is nowhere to be found and when you don't want her to show up she is busting through the door......

Hackney- i am not sure what the protocol is but with both my FET's my re started me on a lower dosage then increased it when the progesterone was added a few days before transfer. Maybe he will do that with you too and he just didn't say yet. MY RE is notorious for layering meds as we go and not warning me ahead of time esp in the first IVF cycle.....

Teachertam- I noticed on your ticker that Andrew was an all natural pregnancy- was this w/o a FET? did it happen the old fashion way?

cocosmamma- has AF arrived yet?

I am going to the RE on Friday so let's see what happens then. i can't wait to finally see what is going on with my lining. I am feeling ok and tolerating the estrace so far which i am excited about.
is everyone taking prenatal vitamins? And if so which ones?
I felt AF type cramping yesterday for a few seconds- i hope i am not ovulating wouldn't that mess up the whole cycle?

Hope33, no, I was just asking about protocols. My RE has also did a gradual increase with my estrace ...

I started with 2 pills a day/1 am and 1 pm.

I have gradually increased since 10/31/08 - Up to 6 pills a day/3 am and 3 pm.

hackney- right you said that on your last post sorry i forgot that when i was posting i think i confused you with Brenda- sorry

i don't know what the standard protcol is but don't the RE's try to imitate a natural cycle with meds so that means that the estrace should incresae when progesterone it taken in order to get ready for the implatation? not sure though.....

Hackney and hope33 ? how many mg pills are you taking you said 3 in am and 3 in pm. My RE said I will be taking 2mg pill 3 x a day is that enough?

Brenda, I am on 1mg tablets. I am currently taking 6 a day.

Looks like you both are on a total of 6mg a day. i have lots of catching up to do since i am only taking 1 mg in the moning a 1 mg in the evening. i haven't had my lining or bloods checked to see where i am at. We'll see on friday but i am guessing it might be doubled? When i was checked last wednesday11/5 - i was on estrace at that point for 5 days my lining was at 5 and he said it needed to be at least 10 for transfer.....now i am worried i am not taking enough.....

We are pretty much running right beside each other. I have my appt tomorrow for blood work and ultrasound, will check in and let you know the results when I get them tomorrow.

I think they start the dose based off the history you have from other cycles and your lining thickness then, but shoot I don't know. Just when I think I figured this IVF stuff out something else changes or pops up.

I have kinda given up figuring it out.

Hope: Yes, we were waiting to do a frozen cycle and got pregnant naturally, just after having an HSG x-ray procedure. That is why I had one this time. I really think it may have helped last time.

Yes, Here I go again. Start Friday the 14th with blood & sono. The FET should be on the 22nd. Started accupuncture on 11/6/08. It seemed to work last time. Now if he/she could just stay in there

hackey - Yes looks like we are a day apart. How cool is that?

GOOD LUCK TOMMORROW! let us know how everything is looking. I am sure you will schedule your FET date at your appointment too?

teachertam- wow that is teriffic. That would be a dream of mine- to be able to get pregnant the old fashion way ahhhh...... what a shocker that must have been for you when you found out you were pregnant? how did you tell your DH?????? How did you find out???

Update:

Had my ultrasound and blood work this morning; uterus lining is 9.9mm - 12.2mm which is good. The office is looking for around 10mm. I am continuing on my 1mg estrace 3 pills am / 3 pills pm. I also start my Progesterone this evening - 2x a day. They may start some other drug (forgot the name) but I will know when they call with blood work numbers

I will give update on blood work numbers as soon as I get them.

FET is scheduled for 11/18/08!!

Third time is GOING to be my CHARM!!!

What a GREAT lining. I really have a feeling that this will be your time. Best of luck on your transfer.

I still am waiting for AF to show up. Going for a progestrone level check to see if it is on its way or if they need to give me meds to get AF to show.

I am NEVER late so this is really strange for me. I guess I will now be doing my FET in early December sometime. Just after you all get your BFP's!!

ok, i have been having some cramping this morning, kinda feels like i am ovulating??? IS that possible since i am on the estrace and my next question is will, this srew up this cycle? Awhhhh i wish my RE wasn't at a conference in Brazil so i could go and see him... guess i have to be extra patient and try to get through today. MY appointment isn't until 4 pm tomorrow....

how long is everone on the estrace before starting the progesterone? this is my 13th day. Have i missed the boat? Hackey how long were you taking the estrace for? When did you start?
