Hello Ladies

Sorry I have been MIA. I am in the process of relocation which kind of helped me get through this 2ww.

This board has been really moving..I tell you

Well I had my beta today and I got a BFP!!!!!!!

Needless to say I am so excited and suprised as this was my first IVF cycle. My level was 83 which they say is good anything over 5 is good. I was told that my progesterone level has dropped to a 14 and it needs to be about a 20 or so. I am currently waiting for a call back, they are more than likely going to give me some suppositories to get the numbers back up,other than that I am in the clouds.

I am sorry to of those of you who have have gotten BFN's, stay strong & positiive, have faith and know that God will do it for you.

Ladies stimming/retrieving/transferring or 2ww'ng, Loads & Loads of Baby dust to you.

I am so happy to be able to share this time in my life with you all.

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for the well wishes for my retrieval today. From the 10 follies, they got 7 good eggs. I just hope some will fertilize. They will call me tomorrow and let me know how many did.

congrats to all of the BFP!! Im so happy for you. To all the BFN I am so so sorry. I am praying for you. I have tried to tell myself that if i get a BFN that there is a reason. It just wasn't meant to be. God knows more than me and I must accept what happens happens. It doesn't make it easier and it doesn't stop my pain but there must be a reason.

How many days do I have to wait before they do a beta test? Did anyone do hpt first?

Wish the best to all of you. I am right here with you through the good and the bad.

Love and prayers to all.

Good evening ladies!

I am new to this board and just want to say THANK YOU for all the inspirational stories... I am in my own 2WW for my first IVF and its killing me.

We have been trying for 18 months and have been through some pretty crazy (and infuriating) doctors. We finally found an amazing group and I am trying to stay hopeful for my test on Monday.

We got 11 eggs on ER, 6 were fertilized and they put 2 back in... my other 4 didn't make it to the freeze. I've been beating myself up about not throwing another one in for the ET but I guess thats how it goes.

Anyways... I'm happy to be a part of such an amazing group of women. Look forward to reading more about ya'll!

PS. Is there anywhere I can find the explanation for all of the acronyms? I think I am getting some of them wrong

Hay ladies,

wow the board has been pretty busy!!!

Jules g Hey there and welcome!! Its always good to hear that it works!! I hope to have my own cheeky living proof sometime soon!!! The 2WW sucks big time and its definately the hardest part mentally, so stay sane and hang out here with us...

Michelle So sorry about the BFN. Those of us who have been there really sympathise. I always remeber how i felt and i was sad to read your post :( (((hugs to you))))

Wicked wheel & Grateful Happy to hear you got your BFP's, please stay with us and update as you know more, :) :)

To Have fun Good luck for tomorrow. I know you have your estrogen checked and we will find out wether or not that Lupron has done it;s job and lowered that pesky estrogen so you can get going!!!! Will be thinking about you (i dont have an aresnal of cute smileys like you, but if i did there would be one here right now with a big pair of crossed fingers!!!)

Karen Wow that 2WW went fast (well for me anyways, i'm sure not for you!!!)and i cant believe tomorrow is your beta!!! Obviously i am sending you a whole load of good luck and cant wait to hear!!!

Babyhope Sorry you are feeling low about the number of follies. I can relate totally to this. I am a poor responder as are several of us and for us, 3-6 follies is a great result!!!!!. I'm not going to patronize you and give the 'it only takes one' speech, becasue we all know that the more you have the more chances you have, but remember that fewer follies can mean better quality (often those of us with only a few follies find an egg in each and they all fertilise) and secondly they often find another one or two at ER. Finally i cant remeber if this is your first ultrasound, but usually they only count measurable follies, so you may have more growing which will show up on the next one. People nearly always end up with more than they did at the first U/S so take heart......

SO today i went to my RE for my calendar and DH had to freeze a batch 'just in case' as per this clinic's policy. I met with the embryologist which was good (unusual i thought but nice). I also got my calendar we went thru the new drug regimen. WOW last time (antagon protocol) i used to mix it all together - follistim, menopur etc and whack it in together once a day, but this new microdose flare thing means lupron AM & PM and menopur AM & PM, separately, so 4 jabs a day now AND also heparin as well as PIO after ER!!!! (thats the bad news)

The good news is he wants me to stop my BCP's on 20th!! I will only have taken them for 14 days!!! The i will (hopefully ) get AF and following an U/S and bloods on 24th (if everything is ok) i will start stims on 24th (this is 10 days earlier than previously discussed)!!!! ER could be Dec 6!!! (if all is ok) so i am V excited!!!!!

Also, being someone who HATES needles... The anticipation of the shots is far worse than the little buggers themselves.

The lupron, Follistim and MD Ovidrel weren't too bad, they just stung a little. The progesterone (the biggest shot I have ever seen!) provoked a hysterical tantrum from me before the first shot. However, I didn't even feel ! How embarassing- guess we all get our freakout moments!

Keep your eyes and hearts on the goal at hand and nothing will ever seem too hard to work through. Baby Dust to All!!!

waiting for 4 Hi and welcome, i think we posted at the same time earlier, so i missed your post. Just wanted to say hello, and hope you manage to keep sane in the 2WW!!!!

If you go to the main message board page and click on 'general', the second post down is a 'sticky' post called abbreviations.... This should give you a head start on what everything means, but if you are unsure on anything at all, just ask!!!!! :)

hi ladies :D :D :D thanks for all the well wishes- it means a lot; i'm very touched by everyone's support

welcome jules and waitingfor4...the 2 ww is tough!

babyhope-hmmm....i'm trying to relate to your dilemma..but we're in such different shoes- ivf has been my only hope and remote success in my dim history. clomid did nothing for me but waste 9 months of my life at the old age of 34! so it's a tough call as i see it. in my 2 experiences of making it to ER- i've had 3 'surprise' follies (all had eggs too!) show up. mind you, they were not mature- which is a gimmee- as we would have seen them on u/s beforehand. and my personal stats are different so far as compared to the usual- 'half of follies have eggs, half of eggs fertilize, ect'- i've not produced a lot of follies, but i seem to get some quality with IVF. i know alot of people are more 'mature' than me and don't look at the money- but I DO. the financial impact SUCKS.

what i've come to with decisions like this is to give my self some space to reflect, then trust my gut.. let us know what happens and peace to you in this process.

GRATEFUL!!!! and what an appropriate screen name- CONGRATULATIONS! i hope to join you soon in the BFP and to see many more of our friends here join also.

i'm tired tonight, still no signs of AF, occasional twinges, back pain, fatigue, so hopefully i'm pg.....love to all. karen
