Hi everyone!
Well, we transferred 2 embryos on day 4 this past Sunday... now I'm in the dreaded 2 week wait which is driving me nutty! I had mild hyperstimulation so I'm still having some discomfort and pain from the retrieval - but every little pain makes me worried! Has anyone else transferred on day 4? It seems unusual. Our retrieval was last Wednesday.
I never thought I would be this scared. During the entire procedure, I kept saying that if it doesn't work - it's okay. We'll try again and we didn't really LOSE anything. But seeing the embryos and the ultrasound changed everything. It's hard not to spend the majority of the day thinking about it.
Any advice out there? It's so nice to have so many women who are going through the same thing... you guys get me through this without even knowing!
Didn't have a day 4 transfer day 2 but on the 2ww - got sore boobs but think that is purely coz I keep poking them to see if they are sore!!
It does drive you mad I am lucky I have been signed off work so I don't have to deal with that stress. If I need a cry I was extreme makeover homeaddtion have a cry and realise how lucky I am.
Had stomach cramps pretty much since EC which sometimes I think can not be good and the suppositories I am on make me very windy and uncomfortable (sorry TMI)
It is good to be able to share with people who understand you can not know unless you have been through it

I am also on the 2ww, half way through now, every day feels like a week! Is this your first time Suzanne? Have same symptoms as you have mentioned, our last cycle I did not have any symptoms and got a BFN so hopefully this might mean a different result. I know what you mean about poking the boobs constantly just to make sure they are still sore lol
So julesg any advice on having a successful 2ww? Congratulations on your DD.I am also sitting at home although I have had cramps since the transfer, as well is this good or bad? not sure. Suzanne, we transferred on day 3 day 4 is ok, means your embies had a little longer for them to see that they were perfect. Our clinic were considering transferring our embie on day 4. I know what you mean about feeling scared I can't wait for the test day to arrive but then I don't want it too because up till then I can think I am pregnant!
Good luck guys look forward to sharing this with you,
Leexx

no sorry no advice on how to survive the 2ww it is proving harder than I thought - no idea if the cramps are good or bad I have them too and sore boobs but I am on pergestorone (really can't spell sorry but you see what I mean?!!) twice a day so don't know if this causes any of these things.
Good luck

Hi ladies!
Have any of you just been starving all of the time? It may just be the medication or stress but my stomach starts growling and I get what I think are hunger pains near meal times each day. It's really odd- I'm not a big eater but I've been going nuts.
No sore boobs, just mild discomfort in my abdomen. My back hurts every once in awhile. I notice that I wake up with cramps but they seem to go away once I get up and moving. Anyone having trouble sleeping??
This is my 3rd IVF/ICSI. The first was in 2001 and resulted in a beautiful DD! The 2nd was Sept. 2008 and we ended up with only 1 embie and it didn't stick Now we're on try #3: egg ret. on 11/8 (13 eggs) and transfer on day 3 (5 embies transferred). I'm 41 so the doctor suggested we transfer all we had (7 eggs had fertilized but 2 didn't divide) So now I wait. People ask what I'll do if all 5 "take" and I try to imagine even 1 taking! I have a strong faith in God and His Plan, but it's still very hard not knowing how this will all turn out. I know what you all mean about every little cramp or twinge feeling like I could be pregnant or not. I'm on progesterone suppositories 3 x's a day and I think that gives me cramping--anyone else think that? Glad to know there are others in the same boat I'm in.
Hi krisnerol - welcome, yes I agree the suppositories seem to cause some cramping, 5 embies wow thats amazing, sending them lots of implanting vibes!!
tigersuz22 - hows the hunger? Yes I have had trouble sleeping I am ok once I am asleep but some nights it has taken me ages to get to sleep with my mind working overtime!
julesg - hows it going?
I gave in to the dreaded HPT today and it has read a BFP!! I do the clinic test on wednesday to confirm it but I can't quite believe it. Those little poas always tell me not pregnant!! So I was quite shocked today when it said pregnant!
Sending you all lots of positive thinking and baby dust for the rest of your 2ww.
Speak soon,
Take care
