Hi I was wondering if there is any vitamins I could do to make sure I dont get the cold on my nxt cycle this year I have seemed to get colds really easy which is abit strange,I'm doing acupunture and chiense med and I take vit c,and I have a bio-chemical pregnancy in Jan on our last treatment and my chiense dr said that getting the cold isnt cold and to tyr and keep warm as getting cold isnt good for the baby and she thinks that is why the embryo didnt stick as I had a bit of a cold in the 2wws.I was going to start going swimming to get some weight off but the chiense dr said she didnt want me going swimming as I could catch cold,so now I'm worrying that I will catch the cold and it wont work on the next treatment I've been out in the playground this after noon and my nose is running now so I'm really panicing I dont want to catch the cold, which vitamins keep the cold away???
Sorry for rambling and on not a serious issue I was just wandering if anyone could help me?
Thanks for reading the essay!!
Love gemxxxxx
hi gem,i also had a bio-chemical preg in nov,im not a doctor or anything but i dont think your cold will of had anything to do with your embies not sticking.
it just wasnt meant to be,
stop worrying so much!
i wish you the best of luck on your next cycle.
Like Lou says, try not to worry, many woman who conceive naturally get colds, flu etc.......
If you are really worried my nan swears by Ecchinea(spelling??)
It is a herbal remedy and has a flower on the box.....You have to take it before you get your cold, ie at the first sign....Its really good but be warned you will probably pong of Garlic(by the way garlic is good for colds too)....You can get it in any chemist or supermarket..
Good luck
Sarah

I really wouldn't worry about a cold. It definitely won't have stopped you getting pg - the implantation part is down to nature and luck!!!
Try to keep wam and avoid going near other people with a cold, but other than that, just try to not worry!!!! I walk my two dogs every day for two miles in all weathers (we have lots of snow at the moment). I have done this all the way through my tmt and now through my pregnancy (26wks with twins - not easy in the snow!) and (touch wood - she says banging her head!!) I've not had a cold. Sometimes being couped inside can have the reverse affect. Also if you have air-conditioning this is one of the easiest ways to spread germs. Being outside in the playground wrapped up warm is probably one of the best places to be!!!
Hi Gem, just to echo the pps....it's not the temperature that gives people colds it's germs passed from person to person either directly or from sharing relatively close spaces. Washing your hands frequently can help as it cuts down the amoubt germs on your hands when you touch your face. I'm not sure I agree re. not swimming but you're following your Chinese Dr.'s instructions so I don't want to interfere with their advice too much.
If it were being in the cold that gave infections, those of us who live in the snow (and we have snow for 5m of the year minimum) would be ill all the time. I've had less colds since moving here than in the UK. Less people to spread those germs via sneezing etc. Your mention of the playground ......kids often cover sneezes with their hands but then touch everything around them as they play. You could try encouraging the kids to be conscious of handwashing, always using a disposable tissue etc. I worked in a school throughout my pregnancy and we had a major drive to gets the kids to be more aware of spreading cold germs. We had boxes of tissues in the classroom etc. we reminded them to wash hands if we heard them sneeze. Before lunch we had them line up for handwashing....might sound a bit OTT but it cut down on cold-related absences.
sarah's suggestion of echinacea is good. it's a natural homeopathy remedy, which strengthens your immune system and might help keep an infection at bay or fight it. lots of people swear by it.
I too take Echinatia god knows how to spell it !!!! I also take sanatagen gold every day , I am with all sorts of people every day and I manage to keep off the cold , or it could be all the Brandy I drink!!!!!
Hi Gem
You should have lots of Kiwis, apparantly they have 5 times the amount of vitamin C as an orange! Also, as the other say Echinacea is great at the onset of a cold.
