Hi all,
Just had my 2nd scan and those follies have grown! :D . Now very proud owner of 7 (22mm-15mm) so ec is on for 8.30 Friday! Feeling very bloated and uncomfortable so glad I don't have any more follies fighting for space!
Sophie Jane- make the most of the time and enjoy doing nothing! Tile grouting can wait! Good news on the follies... getting big again!!
Dizzy - only 1ww to go to the good news!!
Beckncraig... if I'm awake thru ec on Friday I'll be thinking of you.. will cross my fingers but crossing of legs may not be practical!!
Grandma- it'll be very hard for your daughter without dh but you'll be there for her and mums are always who you need. My dh is away too and comes back day after test so I might hold on for a day.... if I can!
Lots of baby dust and good vibes to all.

hi girls

Glad to see everyone is doing so well with there tmt, hope we get lot's of positives. I go in for di hopefully this Thursday but hb has just informed me that he can not get the time of work.......So I will have to go on my own this is the first time he has missed and appointments and we have been doing this for years. He said he will take me out for dinner so we can mark the day our baby was conceived. See I'm being positive. Has anyone else had et or di with out hb being there.

take care

Kathryn - well done on your follies - you, LoopyLou and I are all going to be having our feet in stirrups on Friday for ec. I'm booked for 8am. I am sooooo excited now. Been on a high this afternoon - dancing around the lounge to Duran Duran (you can tell I was an 80's teenager). I am enjoying their revival.
Thank you Traci for getting angry with me. I will complain after treatment - there's a few things that I haven't been happy with.
Hope everyone is well.
Better go, as I've been off work I had better get dinner cooked at least.
IVF on all the programmes this morning. Did you see them. One go on the nhs that is so crap. I'm on the waiting list for nhs - will take another 18 months to get to the top of the list (I am hoping that I wont need my nhs goes as fingers crossed in 2 weeks time I will be pg - I wonder if they will let me give my goes to someone else).
Still rambling, so I'm off.

Ijust wanted to ask if there's anything i should or shouldnt be doing over the next two weeks, they didnt say anything at the clinic this am and to be honest i forgot to ask, was just so relieved that it was over and everything was fine to go ahead.

Sending lots of good luck to everyone.

Hi, just to say ET went well today. Both remaining frosties survived and were popped back in. They were a 4 and a 5 cell but both busy dividing apparently. I feel completely different this time from our first FET in January, hope it means something.

Bit concerned I've not twigged what everyone's doing but here goes:

Dizzy - well done on having a shorter than usual 2WW, never heard of this before. Which day/date will you hear?
Bel - good luck on Thursday for your further tests and scan.
Kate - so glad to see there's another toy-boy fan on the board  also happy that your 7 follies are getting themselves ready for EC.
LoopyLou - lots of good luck on Friday.
Miracle - good luck with ET on Monday, not long now.
Beck&Craig - even less time for you to wait...so exciting :D
Sophie-Jane - congrats on the better follie news, never heard of plump follies being a problem, probably all the better for EC on Friday.
Angela - re. Puregon. I used it and loved how painless the jabs were with that brilliant pen. I don't remember there being anything specific to not/do whilst using it but I had already stopped all alcohol and caffeine. I tried to be really good about keeping to the schedule but had to get up at 0600 to fit them all in. I'll try casting my mind back but I'm sure there's nothing major otherwise your clinic would have told you. You could try Googling it and see what comes up.
July-Ann - sorry DF has always been there, although not for all the scans etc. If it helps at all, he was away for months of my pregnancy. He worked 800km away and only came back every 2nd/3rd weekend. Would it be too weird to have someone else there for support? I know it's not a pretty moment but a really close friend, or relative maybe? Ask the clinic would they let you use a mobile to DH during the tmt so that you can at least talk to him and tell him what's happening. Better than nothing?

Good luck everyone.
love
Debra.

hello again,i was wondering if any of you have read the proff winston book, the ivf revoloution,?i`ve been skipping through it in the clinic this week and it was a really good read some interesting reading to be had.
did you see him on the news aswell yesterday when he said that on your first cycle of ivf you have around a 25% chance of concieving and that by your third attempt you have a 75% chance.i didnt know this and im quite shocked as this means that i must have a 50% chance as im on my second attempt.good news!
in the book he says that no amount of jumping around after et is going to make any difference to the outcome but i still dont think i`ll be swinging from the shanderliers!
he says that there is no need to lie down for a while straight after et,im glad he said this as last time i got straight up and went off home, this is how they do it at my clinic,
im going to try and buy the book off the net now .
speak later.love loopy :)

Hi Fantastic Cycle Buddies,
Well my test today went really well, I'm booked for embie tranfer on Monday, so lots of PMA!!!..I also ahd a scan today, I had a nasty infection after my D&C so wanted to check that all is now OK, I got a very clean bill of health and have a beautiful lining apparently!!!..So fingrs and toes crossed for Monday.
I think I've just about caught up with everyone's news:
Miracle - Don't stress about feeling emtional, this whole rollercoaster ride has big ups and big downs, I've been there, and I know a lot of women on this site have as well. It WILL get better, I promise!
Debra P -PLeased that your et went well, I have everything crossed for you. I think of you as my quasi aussie FCB, there aren't many of us on here, and you spent a year here, so that's good enough for me!
Jane - Am keen to hear how your dog is..Did you end up freezing him in the ocean?, I was in the UQ about this time of year a few years ago, we went to the beach, got as far as sticking our toes in..WAS FREEEEEEEEZING!!!!! :? :? ..A bit of a shock for me really! I can also relate to the a cup situation, I was pregnant on my last IVF cycle (m/c unfortunately), but in that time I went from an a up to a b cup.....was v.v.v. exciting!!!
BecknCraig- Good luck for your testing tomorrow, be sure to tell us your news please!
Dizzy -You're over the half way point of the dreaded 2ww...You'll get through..PMA PMA PMA
Kate- 7 follies is wonderful news, keep us updated please!
Lou -Good luck for ec Friday, will all go well!
July Anne-Good luck for todays transfer (I get stuffed by the time difference, but is Thursday night here!!), dh may not be around for my et on Monday, is sad but unavoidable..
Take care all
Belinda :D :D :D

LoopyLou....thank you so much for that post about Prof.Winston's book. Perfect timing. ET was yesterday and I've been mincing around ever since. I've been in bed all day, worrying if I found myself lying on my side instead of flat.....I want this final 2WW to go as smoothly as possible and really feel I must do everything I can...hearing doing normal things is fine, helps. Plus means I'll take a shower now  My clinic have always said 'do everything as normal' but then they are always very relaxed and informal. ET is usually punctuated by us all wildly chatting about something unrelated. Yesterday was a debate about house prices plus what picture could they put on the ceiling to give patients something to look at. All was going well until I realised I'd been using the wrong word in Norwegian and they were getting very confused!!! I'd suggested a map (kart) but said card (kort) instead....they are very sweet and thought this was highly amusing....enough, I'm waffling.

thanks again, his book sounds like very good reading.

Hi all
Well LoopyLou and Sophie Jane we will all be in for our ec tomorrow. Hope it goes well for you both. Last week when I had my cyst aspiration, the last thing I remember when the sedation was kicking in and they were putting my legs in the stirrups was that I was desperate to fart!! God knows if I did but I shall try to be a little more polite this time!!
I am so excited now... only 14 hours to go and no more injections! Yipee.
DebraP - glad the et went ok.. just the 2ww to go!!
Beckncraig... hope you manage to get some sleep tonight. Lots of babydust for tomorrow. I'm sure that'll be great news.
Miracle - hope the fet goes ok on Monday
Dizzy... not long to go now!!
Belinda- good luck for Monday
Angelina- glad the cyst has gone away... more room for those follies!
Hope all going ok for everyone I've missed.
Have a great weekend
