Welcome Annie973. I know how discouraging it all feels. As our cycles heat up and the transfers get closer, the positive attitude will return.

Tburks-
I guess you and I are actually going to be doing our u/s on the same day. I started bcps on 11/1 and lupron 11/12. I end bcps on 11/18. Thank god. I have gained weight from those things. My 1st u/s is on 11/25. My RE told me that we would probably have the ER the week of Thanksgiving , but now it has been moved to Dec. 10. Anyways...I am just excited that the ball is rolling now.

Hey JennJenn-

I am hoping this is just a regular u/s. the last one I had was painful! They put the balloon in my uterus and filled it with water. Not fun.

The pills have made me gain weight too. 6lbs already!!! The prenatals are making me hungry. But that's ok.... I'm planning to gain weight with those babies anyway :D

We are praying for 2. Then we will be done I figure. I am trying to not get to excited. It seems like all kinds of different things can happen. But I am trusting that it will happen this time around and I believe it will happen for all of us!

We will have a wonderful Christmas gift!

Hi eveyone!

Starting my first IVF (January) I am going to start BCP's next cycle. I am very nervous because my FSH is so high and I only have 1 ovary. We are going to Dr Luvchez at FIC in Chicago (I live in Indianapolis so we wil be traveling and staying with family)

On the other hand I feel so blessed I have a 4 year old DD.

Good luck to everyone and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

4 year old DD, conceived naturally
MC 3/8 6 1/2 weeks, conceived naturally

Welcome everyone!

I'm trying to be patient for the stimming part. I'm not looking forward to the bloated feeling associated with the stimming, but am starting to get anxious about how many eggs I can produce. My first IVF, we retrieved 18 eggs, 15 matured, and then 11 fertilized. I'm really hoping we get the same or even better results being that was 1 year ago.

Annie 973: That's horrible things didn't work out. A similar thing happened to me. I got a BFP after my first FET, but m/c at week 7. And then my next FET was scheduled and none of the embies survived. There were 3 of them. I was devastated. Now that some time has passed, I feel much more optimistic. I'm sure you'll start feeling better once you get into the stimming part.

tburks: The ultrasound with the balloon... was that an HSS? If so, mine was painful too and I felt horrible for 1 or 2 days afterwards.

I think that was the name of the ultrasound. I sure wasn't prepared for that!

I start my lupron tonight. They said I have to take it between 8 & 10pm.

Since some of you have been on these drugs b4 I hear you talking about the bloated feeling when stimming. I have endometriosis and when I ovulate it is painful. Well, I guess more on the uncomfortable side. I can't imagine having 20 eggs in there and only feeling bloated. I am feeling bloated already! Must be these bcp's. Did any of you find it painful or that it interfeared with your daily activities?

I'm assuming when I go the 25th for the baseline they will put me on the rest of the meds. They have the ER scheduled for the week of Nov. 30th. (that's what the paper says). They said it should be on the 5th. Does that sound like long enough to be on the other meds? How long does it take those little eggs to mature anyway?

Hello ladies i am new to this forum me and Dhhave been trying to conceive since 2005. Last year I found out that i had a hydrosalpinx (fluid in my tube) in my right tube and had it removed so my Re said that my best chance of having a baby is IVF so my insurance does cover 3 cycles thank you Lord! So we did I first Ivf cycle in July and 8 eggs were retrieved and all 8 fertilized with ICSI and Assisted hatching on the day of egg retrieval my husband had a bad day so his count was low but he usually have a great sprm count. We did recieve a bfp that cyclebut we miscarried at 14 weeks baby heartbeat stopped it was very devasting but we wended up having a D&C in Sept and I just finish having my first AF this month in Nov so in Dec when I am day 21 in my cycle I will start on my lupron again!!

Well i think really in my last cylce when i conceived I was so scared and nervous and alwaays read on the negative things of pregnancy and alwaysthought negative things my thoughts were brought to reality.I say this to say this time when i do receive my bfp my focus is going to stay positive and really enjoy what God gift is to me. i hope you all receive you BFP and have happy and healthy pregnancy we have to speak it into existence!! Thanks for letting me vent and lets get pregnant!!

Hi ladies, My name is Barbara and well I just stumbled on this thread and after reading all your post I think this is where I belong for hopefully some support. My story is me 37, DH 34. I have three teenage kids from my previous marriage 13 yrs ago. DH does not have any kids and we have talked about having our own for 10yrs but didn't know if we should do the tubal reversal or IVF. Well after talking to Dr we decided IVF would be the way to go. I started back in Sept with the Lupron, menopur and HCG shots. We did the ER on 10/13, we got back 18 embryos and froze them all since my ovaries where the size of two grapefruits and the loan that we took out fell through at the last moment thanks to the economy  After talking to my RE we decided to the the ET in January. We have an appt Jan 7 and hopefully right after we can transfer. I was very depressed there for a while since I wanted to transfer right away and well it just seems so long to wait. Good luck to you all and keep in touch.

Barb good to have you with us! Sorry but the funding that is a bummer. But look on the bright side it just put if off for a little bit.

I was wondering if any of you have ever had a reaction to the lupron? I started mine 2 days ago and with each injection it burns, itches and I get a rash. I talked to the nurse about it and she said I must be sensitive and to expect some type of reaction with the other meds to. She said she would put me on the cream for the progesterone instead of the shot and boy am I thankful! Took me 20 mins to give myself the first shot and then I felt so stupid when I finally did bc I didn't feel a thing!

You all will be in my prayers hang in there & God Bless!

tburks,

are you giving the shot is the tummy? I didn't have any reactions but I heard from other women in this site that everyone reacts differently. I did the lupron and then the menopur(injection in the butts) DH would just rub the site afterward and it would sting while injecting but then it would go away. I think the hardest part for me was the ER.

Barb - yes I am giving them in the belly. The nurse said it should quit after a few days and last night didn't seem to be as bad as the night before.

Stress may have made it worse to!

Hi girls .. Can i join you .. Hopping over from the OCT NOV DEC board.

I got a BFP but sadly my first beta was only 22 and the 2nd it went down to 15.. so chemical pregnancy. Went off meds and am now waiting for AF oo start BCPs again..

I will start Lupron sometime in December and probably stims right after the new year. et will likely be around January 20.

this will be my 6th IVF ( i joined the boards during the 4th one) We had a chemical pg our first try but ended even before first beta and then nothing until this cycle. We started this cycle with a new DR Dr Sher of SIRM and the results seem to be much better so we will carry on.

Look forward to the journey.

Welcome to all the new ladies!! Wow this board is really heating up. It will make the next few weeks and 2ww bearable.

My last day of BCP is today. Can't wait to stop taking them. FET is 3 weeks from today. I am hoping it comes really fast.

Anyone changed their diet this cycle? Would love to hear what anyone is doing.

Here's to many Christmas miracles in the next few weeks.
