Please Help-Bleeding in 2ww

Hello All,
It is my second IVF and my beta is on Monday I did home pregnancy test and got positive (however was nor very dark line) yesterday morning and in the afternoon I started some bleeding do u think I still have any chance I am gonna die till Monday...........
I did home test today and still get very faint line ???
did this happen to anyone?

My blood test is scheduled tomorrow, and also got some brown spotting on Thursday, which is Day 11 after the retrieval. I call my RE, and they said there are a lot of reason to get light spotting, like implantation or irritation from Prometrium. I didn't do home test. Hope we are both fine.

Hi! just to share cuz this is exactly what happened to me...I had my first beta 2.5 weeks ago and 1 day before my 1st beta I started to spot which turned to heavy bleeding later!!! (I even wrote here to ask like you)...I was 100% sure I got my period cuz it was exactly like it. The next day was my 1st beta Thank God so I didnt have to wait so long, and it was 7!!! super LOW! I was out of town so the clinic in the place I was in (not my IVF clinic) even told me that it was NOT A VIABLE PG!!! While waiting for 2nd beta 2 days later, I just bled and bled and just gave up panicking cuz what can you do really? were helpless to stop it so I prepared in my mind for FET .... On my 2nd beta, my HCG trippled to 35 (still low but better) and then the 3rd beta was 76....by the 4th beta on the 16th day the bleeding stopped and to my surprise my beta rose to around 250 (I had beta done every 2 days - 1 day in between tests)...even my IVF doc was happy about the results up to date...

So honestly anything is possible! When they say you cant get your period when pg, it really doesnt feel like it (even if I know its not a period)....I bled exactly when AF was due and stopped also exactly when it should so of course I doubted and to my surprise something can continue.....So dont give up yet....only your blood hcg level (beta) will tell you where you stand for now, and then the ultrasound, and so on...and the doubling time of beta every 48 hrs is crucial! Good Luck on Monday! I am also of course still hoping and praying all goes well...you know this is just the beginning....everything is nothing until we give birth and see our healthy child in the end

By the way when I bled or spotted my clinic specifically told me to WAIT FOR THE BLOOD TEST and not do HPT cuz if your beta is still low especially at 10-11 days pt only, it may give you a false negative! So just try to wait to be tested through the blood - if your beta is low at start but higher than 0, just redo the test every 2 days! youll know then...

PS. in my clinic 25 beta is already a sure BFP...if it starts low but rises later, then they say maybe it just implanted late or you ovulated late, etc. so blood test

I bled for 5 days straight during my 2 week wait. Up to the day I took my beta, I was convinced I was not pregnant. I got a BFP (twins) and spotted up until my 7th week. Needless to say everything was fine and my boys are now 21 months old. Good luck

I'm so glad someone posted about this. I'm supposed to have my beta on Tuesday and I started spotting today. It's not heavy, but it is pink so it really has scared me. I've been in tears today. I'm trying not to give up hope. Glad I'm not the only one going through this right now.

Don't worry, ladies. As I just told you, I also spotted on Day 11 after retrieval. And I just got BFP today!!!

You said you got a faint positive on your HPT. I am wondering what day that was (how many days past retrieval). Also, how many embryos were transferred? What color is the bleeding (brown, pink, bright red). Is it just when you wipe or is it on a panty liner/panties? Is it off and on?

I started bleeding at 9 DPO and continued (pink mostly with red flecks) for weeks. I had a twin pg and one twin was detaching while the other was fine. I had another health issue that may me miscarry later -- totally unrelated to the bleeding. I think my bleeding was due to a detaching embryo. Unless you transferred only one, this could be the same thing for you. I panicked as well! Was sure it was over and was not even going to bother with the HPTs. I even made an appt with another clinic and told everyone it did not work.

Then on 12DPO I decide what the heck and test and I get a positive on the HPT!

My RE says more women bleed then those that do not when PG from IVF! Seriously do not worry. It could be implantation, a dissolving twin or triplet, or even a fibroid!!!!

I mean I was so freaked out and now I make sure to tell people to not worry. Even after my HPT I kept bleeding and made them do several ultrasounds!

So try to put your mind at rest!
