I went away for a three day weekend while on stims and brought a cooler. Everyday my goal was to fill it with ice. Just a thought!

Yes, just a regular cook-out Coleman cooler. I don't know how or where you're traveling if a cooler will be too bulky. Depending on how many drugs you're bringing why not an insulated lunch bag with ice packs? Don't call off the trip - you can do this and live your life. :)

Hi appy, I also traveled while taking my Lupron. I took a small cooler packed with a couple of those ice packs that they usually send when you get medicine shipped. Anyway, they sent me through airport security with no problems. It sounds like you're driving though. When I reached my destination, I just made sure the hotel had a small fridge. It worked out great!

Appy- good luck with the travels- but just a thought- take a bit extra with you- needles and prep stuff, too!

you never know what might happen- the need to spend an extra day (especially with winter weather) , a dropped vial, or the like.
I went away for a long day trip when stimming, and packed up at least twice what I needed - just in case - everything turned out ok, though I did end up doing my injections at a rest stop on the NJ Turnpike!

Hi NHY, I am in the midst of my first IVF.......I had a laproscopic procedure in august 2008 where sadly the Dr. had to remove my fallopian tubes and my left ovary since they were badly scarred. That was a huge disappointment to me!!!!!!!
Anyways have now started my first IVF cycle........started microdose Lupron from the 27th and Gonal-f and Menopur from the 29th...Guess will have my retrieval around the 9th of Dec if all goes well.........
Feeling rather anxious, especially when I read some of the posts in this and other forums where people have had 3-4 unsuccessful attempts. It kind of brings me down, but I still try and stay positive.......Hoping for the best!!!!Feels good talking abt it and sharing it with others on the forum.....
Thanx for listening!!!!!! :)

I, myself, and in the midst of stimming for my first (and hopefully only) IVF. I won't have ER til nearly xmas. But yours is just next week! I'll be thinking of you. Stay in touch. I want to hear how you're feeling. :)

Hi appy, try to stay positive. I can definitely relate to your situation. This past July I had to have surgery to remove both of my tubes because they were blocked. I also had 4 large fibroids removed and I had ovarian drilling done on my ovaries due to PCOS. Unfortunately, I couldn't have laparascopic surgery, I had to have major surgery, like a C-section and it took me 6-8 weeks to heal :( But I so looked forward to IVF because I knew it was our only chance of conceiving, but just like you I had heard and read so many horror stories about people having to go through IVF more than once or twice. But I just prayed about it and stayed optimistic about the entire process. It was very hard to do but I did. Anyway as of last week I found out that I was pregnant. I was so happy, my 1st IVF cycle and I'm pg. So try not to be discouraged because it can definitely happen. I pray for the best for you and I hope that you get your BFP the 1st time around! :D
