slower rising beta's, any success stories PLEASE!

Post by doddo72 »

Here are my numbers so far:
Transfered 3 day 3 embryos on 11/02
11dp3dt HCG 55
13dp3dt HCG 83
15dp3dt HCG 129

I go to the dr again in two more days for another test. Just wondered if anyone else had beta's that didnt double within 48-72 hours and have a healthy pregnancy?
Thanks,
Donna

Hey Doddo I think I was part of one of your IVF buddy cycles. I dont have a personal answer, but I wanted to wish you the very best!!!

Also, during my first cycle one of the girls has such a low beta, her RE told her stop taking everything. She faught and said no, that she wanted another beta done in 2 days...when she did it doubled, so she went again for her third and it was off the charts! She ended up with triplets, but one didnt make it. However, she gave birth to twins in October, so hang in there!!!!

dodo72,
I just wanted to ask you if you did any HPT before you had your beta done? If yes was it neg or positive? I go for my beta next wednesday. Did you have any prego symptoms? Good luck to you. I wish you the very best.

Hi Rhonda,

I got a BFP on HPT's 7,8,9,10 days past 3 day transfer. I just had cramping. I still do. My boobs hurt from the projesterone shots. Other then that no real symptoms.

Good Luck! I am sending baby dust your way!!!!

My beta came back today and at 18 days past 3 d transfer it increased to 545.

I'm in shock. That put my doubling time to 36 hours!

Donna - great news!!! I was reading through your post and was going to say...maybe since you transferred 3, there was one that implanted that didn't make it, but the others did...sometimes this messes with the HCG numbers....but then I saw your last post! You are on your way...CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Donna,

How did your ultrasound go??? I am going in for my FET today after ACP. Are your numbers still good?

I am so happy for you, I hope it rubs off on me. I think we have cycled together at least 3 times.

Keep me posted.

hi Brenda,
Good Luck today! I am praying for you!!!
Things are good, so far. I am 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant today. My beta's did rise normally after the first few slow rising numbers! We are expecting one baby!
We saw the heartbeat last week. I am cautiously optimistic right now until I get past the 12 weeks. We have a bleed that is next to the baby and the dr said my body should absorb it. I am taking it easy and praying for me to not miscarry again!

How many embryo's are you transfering?
Did you do acupuncture before?

Donna,

It sounds like everything is going really well for you. I transfered 5 blasts on 12/8 2 were very bad 2 were good early blasts and 1 morula. Dr. Desai (Head of the lab) said that my 2 blasts look like what they see achieve pregnancies from all the time but my last blasts (from FET in 4/08) looked better than these and I got a BFN. I did do acupuncture 3 hours before transfer. It seems that everyone on the boards are getting BFP's I just hope that mine is also. I read on internet that you can get a +hpt 4 days after blast transfer so I will test tomorrow and continue until my beta on the 18th.
I started out with a PMA and now I can't help but feel that it just didn't work for me again.

Hey guys,

Reading through this. I also have low betas.

At 14 DPO (11dp3dt) = 34

16 DPO = 96

20 DPO = 676

I am very nervous, esp since it started so low. I am encouraged that is doubling, but I wish it were higher!
Me: 44 severely reduced reserve
DH: 44 perfect
IVF 1: Feb 08 -BFP twins (lost one at 7 weeks, one at 13 weeks) :-(
IVF 2: June 08 -BFN :-(
IVF 3: September 08 -BFN :-(
IVF 4: November 08 - Katherine Emma born 8/9/2009 :D
