Gina or Wonderce,
how do you calculate when to do hpt? are you counting from retrieval date or transfer date? and does days transfer matter? I had:
Retrival-Nov 12th
Transfer-Nov 15th
3 Day transfer.

I test tuesday to make sure hcg was out of my body-negative
I tested today-negative

when do you think it would show up? The hpt is actually ones I do at the hospital i work in the emergency room so I am sure they are pretty sensitive.

Quick update - I'm going another day on stims. Val, they decided to do like you said and let the lead follie go...the other 3 were 14,15,and 16, but there were like 2 more at 12. So I will see tomorrow, but I'm excited I still have a chance!

Will catch up later, work is completely insane!

Wishing4blessings, I'm not really sure about my beta #'s. The time between my 1st and 2nd beta was 3 days, but from 2nd to 3rd beta was 6 days so you might be right, it could be high. I know we put back 3 and would be happy with as many as we're blessed with in hopes that they are all healthy. I'll find out Tuesday and thanks for asking! Hang in there with the 2ww. I know it's tough though. When is your beta test?

Chris, best of luck next Wednesday. Darn those levels. And wow it's cold in Illinois!

Babyhope, congrats on your ET. I think your grading sounds good and glad you stood up for your rights with freezing 3. Why not right? Wishing the best during your 2ww.

LadyJ, hope you're feeling better today after ER. I also had a lot less eggs than follies and can understand your disappointment. But it can most definitely still happen so keep thinking positive. I only had 3. Keep us posted on your fert report tomorrow.

Jandc, that still sounds like a great #. So you'll go Monday for your ET? Keep praying and thinking positive. You're right, this really is a rollercoaster ride and something to be proud of for enduring all of the up's and down's.

Karen, can't wait to hear your next beta results.

Kke, I think your grades are great and now you'll have some frosties too. Keep positive during the 2ww.

Foreverlove, well your ovaries have got their work cut out for them. Maybe that other one will produce but at least you know you have the one. I'll be curious to see what your meds will be.

Mrs Cutter, I didn't do a HPT so I'm not much help. I think Gina did though so maybe she can help. I'm wishing you the best when you go next week though.

JDC, glad to hear your excited and you should be! It's amazing what another day of stims can do. Grow follies!

mrs. cutter - technically they say to do the beta no earlier than the day you would expect your period to come.

afm, I'm feeling pretty good although I couldn't sleep last night due to some cramping and back pain which of course had me worried. I spoke to my nurse today and she said that was normal. Any other BFP's experiencing this?

Mrscutter, I think it might take a bit longer since you did a 3dt. The embryo does not start releasing Hcg until it is implanted in the Uterine lining and that does not happen until the embryo is hatching which can be day 6.. I would not take any further HPT and wait for your Beta. However if you do decide to take another test. First response is more senstive then the ones even used in a hospital. Hospitals ones detect starting at a beta of 20. The First response early results can detect a beta of 12.5 However since you have no idea when your embies were hatching and implanting I would just wait for Beta...

kke, having embies make it to day 5 is Great!!! only healthy embies make it that far. I guess that is why they only put back 2 since if you make it to day 5 and put back blast your chances go way up.. Congrats on your 2ww you are officially PUPO...........

I called my RE office this morning and insisted on a Rx for a 3rd Beta. They told me my numbers were perfecta nd it is not needed, but waiting until 12/1 for an U/S is torture. needless to say they faxed me the Rx and the results should be there by 4 pm. This test was taken 52 hrs past the last one. So my beta needs to be at least 1940 at 60% increase.. This is truly nerve racking...

I'll let you know as soon as I do.

Thanks to the couple that responded about the endometrin. I did look it up as well and it said that was normal. It's so gross though! I do have the pantyliners handy that's for sure.
I don't have a lot of time so, no time for personals today but, I hope you're all doing well.
Just anxiously awaiting tomorrow. I am pretty nervous about it but keep trying to have that PMA!

I have a newbie question for you all. This is my first attempt at IVF and it looks like I will have my ER the day after Thanksgiving at the earliest. I was wondering how you all felt afterward and what was the recovery time. Do you think I need to take the day or several days off work? Thoughts?

The stim shots are way harder for me than the lupron was and the follistim and especially the menipur burn going in. last night we tried to push the plunger in super, super, super slow and that did seem to help. I've also noticed that my stomach bruising from the shots has gotten worse too.

Congrats to all the BFP's!!! that is wonderful news and blessings all around. For all the BFN's, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

pixelgirl--one word of advice with the follistim shot is to turn to get it to room temp....when u have your ER if the put you under u may feel very sleepy so i depending on what day u do it i would recommend taking at least 2-3 days off to rest...no heavy lifting & no crazy activities...good luck to u & keep us posted...

pixelgirl - Welcome. My advice for the menopure is to mix it and then let it sit for about 5 minutes. I have heard that it doesn't burn as much then. As far as ER I felt fine afterwards, just felt like I had taken a really good nap. I went back to work the next day. Get used the bruising, only a few more days to go for shots and then you will be done with stims. YEAH!!! Keep us posted.

Foreverlove - yeah, finally you get to start stims. Sorry about the uterus issue and the high ovaries. Just one more obstacle that is thrown in the path. Nothing can be easy for the IVF chicks.

havbaby1627 - Good luck tomorrow!

Jill - Glad to see that you have a few more follies growing. Hopefully they can spring up by tomorrows test.

kke - Grade A blasts, I would think are pretty good. Every RE has a different grading system so I can't tell you for sure but most of the time grade A are the better blasts. Good luck in the 2ww, when is your Beta?

Karen - Glad things are going good for you, well except the tiredness. I have heard that is common. Take it easy, relax and enjoy being PG.

ladyJ and Jandc33 - how are your embies doing?

What is POPU or PUPO? I suppose its something about post ovulation, noting on Google. I have a guess...putting up with post ovulation!?! Putting up with pogesterone post ovulation...post operative progesterone understanding...

I plan to start another thread...and I know everyone's scale is different...those with BFPs what were your embies graded? I feel mine are deteriating and not growing... 3 day transfer put back 8 cell grade b (A being best) and 7 cell A-

babyhope - PUPO is Pregnant till Proven Otherwise. It took me awhile to figure that one out also. Your embies sound good for day 3. I have heard that 8 cell is really good for a day 3 embie. I know this is so nerve racking but it is so much out of our hands. Just visualize those little embies snuggling up tight and sticking. Sending tons of sticky dust. When is your beta? I so hope this works for you.

OK ladies... I just got the call from my nurse. Out of the 4 mature eggs... only 2 made it to fertilization. She will call me again tomorrow for the improvment of my embies. She said they may do a 3 day so if that is the case I will be doing ET on Sunsay. But they will let me know...it depends on the Dr. hoe he sees it.

Iam trying to keep a PMA about the situation. ALthough I cried whe they told me only 2 made it, now I am trying to stay positive.

Thanks ladies for checking on me... it makes me feel so good. After 8 yrs of trying on my own this is a big step for me.

I will keep u posted.

As for my cramping.. I feel alot better. Justa little sore but I could get around now just slowly. ANd it is hardto laugh. But tylenol works wonders.

Ladyj - Last cycle in which I did get pregnant I only had 4 eggs and 2 fertilized. So there is lots of hope for you so please don't be upset!
