JDC - Congrats on getting to ER. Now you have an excuse to relax on Thanksgiving.

Lynniecat - You need to follow your heart. It is your body and your money. On my last cycle, I triggerd after only 7 days of stimming. In the back of my mind i was saying it was too early but after having 2 canceled cycles I was estatic about finally getting to ER. I know my RE's office was being cautious. I had 2 19mm follicles, 3 or 4 that were 17 & 16 and 5 that were under 15 mm. They wanted the 19mm before they got too big. So I go to ER, they only get 6 mature eggs and they were not the best qualtiy. If I knew then what I know now, I would have questoned about trigger so early. Now I just feel that I had another wasted cycle. Wishing you the best and good luck with your adjustments.

Hey ladies;
Thanks for the kind words about my DH and his TESA. Yes he is a keeper. When we found out that he would have to have this procedure he didnt even blink an eye. He said sign me up! He hasnt complained once...vicodin might have something to do with that...LOL! Seriously though he is a champ and I am grateful because he is more sympathetic to what I have to go through for us to achieve our dream.
ANyway started stims last night. 2 Menapur and 2 Bravelle. The shot wasnt bad and I was happy to have DH sitting with me while I mixed everything and shot myself. He offered to do it for me but I figured there may be a time when he wont be here so I need to be able to do it myself. It did burn a little and I was fixated on my leg the rest of the night. Weird. I dont feel any different today though. I have to go back for more BW/Sono on monday morning after being on stims for 2 days. Then I guess they will have more instructions for me. I got a free calendar in the mail from Smugglers Notch in VT so I am using it to track my weight for OHSS and to keep a log of what I am taking and when.
Quick question though...I was told I shouldnt drink anything caffeinated while I am going through this but I NEED that 1 cup of coffee in the morning (usually more but I can take it down to 1 cup). Is anyone else drinking coffee?
Lynniecat...wishing you luck on the ER. I am really scared about the timing of it all so I can relate you what you feel.
Karen...sounds like you have a great OB. I want someone like that!!:)
Gina...I see your Beta is rising so I am sure everything is fine!
I will probably have to go for BW on Turkey Day which is going to be a juggling act since the family is coming here I have to get the bird in the oven. Maybe we will just have a later dinner? No one knows we are doing this so I have to make up a creative excuse. Any suggestions?

hi prayin...i was told to be sensible about coffee...i don't see why you can't drink a cup a day on stims.. after transfer- limited intake is recommended, but even then, a small cup a day qualifies for that. i took different stims meds than you- but i dont' see why it would be unsafe for you to indulge in a bit of caffeine.

ladyj- i think you're in ET today- best of luck!! those embies sounded like good quality and like they got all the good, healthy juice that those empty follies didn't- i think they'll do wonders for you!!

jdc- glad your ER is booked! how exciting!

mrs cutter- let us know about that hpt....and chris, hope you're having a wonderful day. pixelgirl- how are those follies doing?

wishing all a beauty day

Thanks ladies for all your support. I went in today for ET. I did the 2 embies. 1 was at 8 cell graded A- and the other was 5 cell graded B. I feel so good about it. I am so over the moon right now. My DH even kissing me eveytime I wake up from a nap saying "hey mommy". :D
I saw my fertilized eggs... andnow I cant beleive theyr just floating around in my uterus. How weird.

I go in for my Beta on Dec. 5. So these will be the longest 12 days of my life. Any tips on just relaxing and taking it easy? I am on bedrest for the rest of the day today. But I am so tired of being on this couch.

Thanks again ladies.

Chris, I do hope all works out and you do not get canceled. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Lynn, I am so excited for your ER this Tuesday. Grow follies grow and give Lynn wonderful embies to put back...

Lady_J , The 2ww is a killer. Even thought I took a HPT at 4dp5dt, the wait to get the BFP from the beta was torture. I however was a bit lucky, I had to plan and cook for my DH 50th BD party.... However once I took the 1st HPT and got my BFP, I took one everyday until Beta to make sure I was not going crazy and that it was real....You will be fine and those lil beans will snuggle in nice and tight while youare waiting.. Don't forget, eat plenty of healthy protein....

Karen, How are you this weekend. I hope you are feeling wonderful. Are you feeling very tired? I am so tired, I cannot get enough naps in during the day!!! I don't remember being so tired with my other children, granted the last one was over 18 yrs ago..

Hi all,
Thought I'd do some personals on this lazy Sunday.

Gina1234, congratulations on your BFP!

Chris, I’ll be thinking of you on Wednesday, hoping your levels are down.

Babyhope, congratulations on your transfer, try to stay positive

Lady_J, congratulations on your ER and ET. Just try to find low key things to do during the 2ww, go to the movies, read a good book, and take lots of deep breaths! Be prepared for ups and downs during the 2ww, it’s definitely an emotional time.

Karen, glad you’re still doing well with your BFP and I’m very glad your doctor is taking good care of you.

Wishing_4_blessings, I’m going crazy with you in the 2ww!

Kke, congratulations on your transfer, grade A is the best.

Foreverlove, glad things are getting started for you. It’s good if they know stuff about your uterus and ovary before you get to the transfer stage, that way there are no surprises and your transfer should hopefully go more smoothly.

Pixelgirl, after my ER I was very sore the day of the ER, but honestly, the next day I felt pretty normal. Everyone is different but I guess I would say to for sure take the day of the ER off.

Prayin4BFP, I enjoyed reading your story about pulling the vials out of your shirt. Your DH sounds like a really good guy. As for your Thanksgiving Day excuse, I’d maybe have extra appetizers on hand and have a later meal. Or you could always say you forgot an ingredient and have to run to the store :) Just make sure you come back with the "forgotten" ingredient!

Kas101, glad you’re able to go forward with your protocol.

JDC, I swear, they should just add ‘breakdowns’ into our protocols, I have had at least 1-2 meltdowns each time. Good luck with your ER, surely Thanksgiving is a lucky day.

Sloan88, hope your us went well today.

Rosario, that is unbelievable about your previous clinic, I would write a letter to them or something. Or is there someplace online where you can post an alert or a warning about them? That is just crazy. I hope you're able to just move forward from here and have a better experience with your new RE.

Lynniecat, it sounds like you will be on the move the next couple of days! Good luck with your trigger and retrieval.

As for me, just trying to stay relaxed during my 2ww. DH and I went to see Twilight on Friday and for a surprise he bought me the other books that come after Twilight. I was on a long list at the public library and he figured it would be a good way to keep me from obsessing.

Take care all.

praying for BFP - i specifically asked my RE about caffeine and she said to just try and limit it to one cup of coffee or in my case, since i don't drink coffee, 1 coke. some of the books i've read say to stay away from caffeine during the process but i'm going by my RE as it's less painful advice ;)

yesterday i did the most idiotic thing - i've been beating myself up over it. i took out my evening dose of menopur (both the vial of powder and solution). i put the Q-cap on the solution one, took out my 1ml and then took the Q-cap off and stuck it on the vial of powder just like I do every night but this time, i immediately wandered away for a few minutes in search of my other syringes. came back, picked up the powder vial and went to inject my solution into it to mix the two but there was no powder in there. i shook it and looked up into the inside of the cap and i saw zero evidence of any powder. am i going crazy or have the hormones got me seeing things??? where did the medicine go? there wasn't even any residue showing that powder had one time been there ever. i then looked at the unused vials of powder and they sure had some in there and i just couldn't imagine that all of that powder would be gone?? had they sent me an empty one??? what to do?

so at first i figured i was going crazy from the hormones and pushed the solution in anyway and shook the vial, still zero powder and sucked it back into the syringe and got it ready to inject. 2nd thoughts start to creep in... but every other night i'd seen the powder dissolve - why hadn't i tonight and where did it go? so then i started questioning myself and decided to not use that one. if i'd messed it up and there was no medicine in it and this IVF cycle didn't work, i didn't want to wonder maybe i'd screwed it all up myself. so i chucked that syringe, sure that it hadn't worked somehow and did another vial.

this time when i put the wet Q-cap back on to the powder vial, i sat and watched it very carefully and even though there was no solution in there, other than what was on the needle-ly part of the Q-cap, sure nuf – it totally dissolved into nothing... you couldn't even see any residue either. great! so now i'd wasted a perfectly good, crazy expensive syringe full of non-insurance covered baby-making medicine and i'm going to have to order some more. sigh... what a total waste!

i beat myself up over it for about two hours than i sort of chilled and realized, what do they expect when they hand a bag of syringes and a bunch of crazy expensive medicines to a bunch of rank amateurs!!! from now on i will be much more focused when i mix everything and try to be extra thorough.

Hey Everyone,
I did another HPT this morning. This is day 9 from transfer. It was one from dollar tree so sensitivity was only 25. I just didn't want to pay for one of the expensive ones. I am about to go back to work tonight. Haven't worked in 11 days. I work 3 twelves so when i take my regular shift off it = a lot of days off. I really hate to go back. AF has not arrived yet. I think it will probably come today. I hope not but I know my body and especially my boob-o-meter. It predicts everything. Hope you all are doing ok. talk to ya soon.

Triggering tonight! I am still annoyed cause my follies did not grow and my estrogen did not rise. So should have triggered yesterday as I tried to insist! I hope the extra day is not messing things up.

They are having me boost, not sure why!

hi all, please let me know what's missing for the board- i've done my best :D :D ... i enjoy updating it- reminds me of our connectedness.

lynnie- i hope you'll find some peace through this triggger/ timing stress. i hate not being in charge of this stuff. it's hard for me to trust, especially after witnessing some of their incompetencies at times.

kas- where are you at with getting your meds? are you starting this week still? i'm kinda worried about you. let us know.

pixelgirl- i related to the med trauma of your menopur story. i had a similar gonal F one- and it comes in 'easy to use pre-filled pen' - how did i screw that up?!

so rhonda/mrs.c- did you get a negative hpt? i didn't quite get your post....and feeling like AF is coming is a frequent pregnancy symptom...soooo

bell- good thing to have some distractions for the 2ww- it's the only way i survived. i was grateful i have such a busy job- helped me forget for at least part of the day.

well i bought another pregnancy book today- it felt very brave of me...i looked at them briefly in the chapters store- felt self-conscious- didn't want anyone who knows me to see me in that isle. perused my options, went home and ordered it online.....and i got that book for my DH that someone here recommended- 'she's having a baby and i'm having a breakdown.' -thanks to whoever that was....can't remember now.

Karen, Thank you so much for keeping us all updated. You are the best

Rhonda, Do not count yourself out just yet. You had a 3 day transfer, so it was still another 3 days or so until your lil beans started to hatch, then they need a day ir so to implant themselves, then and only then do they start releasing Hcg. Some produce slower then others so It can very well be the test you took just is not sensitive enough to pick up a 5 day implanted embie... Keep your PMA It is not over until it is over. I have enough PMA for all of us........

Lynn, If tonight is trigger night it is, you cannot change anything now. I am sure your RE knows what he/she is doing and all will workout at ER. I am saying many prayers for you, so keep the faith!!!

to have fu 08, I think there are 2 lil beans cooking in there too. This wait to find out is much worse then the 1st 2ww........ However 1, 2 or 3 we will be thrilled.......... I have been checking blogs on Beta's to see if there is a pattern to twins or trips and to be honest, you can have any doubling beta and have any typw of pregnancy single, twin or trips. I have given up tryingto figure it out and will wait for 12/1 to find out....... I think I will be grey by then, but oh well!!!!!!!!!

Have a great night ladies
