Rhonda - Some Dollar General test only test at 50ml, I guess it depends on what test you get. There is still hope, don't give up yet. Here is a good site that measures HCG levels in HPT.

Hey Ladies-

Just to update you, I am scheduled to go in for my ET tomorrow. They called on Saturday & said we had 7 embryos remaining, some which were very good (grade A) and some that were fair. Feeling very nervous for tom because I am hoping they are all okay & I don't want them to postpone me to Day 6 because last time that happened only 1 was left. I think if they try to do that I will just need to plead my case that i do not want that.

Anyways, I will keep you posted & hope everyone is doing okay!

Take care!

Just a quick one ....

Karen Thanks for asking after me. That made me feel good.
I am still short on this menopur but a few people on here have been angels and offered their leftovers and at $65 a vial (i need a minimum of 6 a day) even a few vials helps big time.

So I took my last bcp on 20th and my calendar from the RE says i should have AF on 22nd and then start stims 24th after my baseline on Monday (24th). However i have not had AF, so i am just waiting so i can start. According to the calendar i start stims on day 3 (Same as before).

Its just a waiting game now!!!!! Glad you are ok and i hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!!!!!

Sorry I have not been on lately. I have been checking in on everyone and hoping for a bunch of BFP's, but I've just been really depressed since our BFN. We would like to try again, but don't really know if we're going to have the money and if we do it'll be 6 months to a year. I just wander if we'll ever get pregnant. Anybody else going through this? Sorry to be a downer.
TTC for over 4 years
HSG - tubes okay
DH semen analysis - good
Multiple clomid rounds and IUI - no sucess

Good morning girls! I just got back from a weekend in Chicago and it sure is nice to be back in TX... I don't like the cold too much.

Anyways- I just emailed my RE to see if I could come in for a 3rd beta... I know they said my levels were ok at 165 on 16dp3dt but I keep having horrible dreams about getting my AF. Anyone else freaking out like me?

prayin - I think 1 cup of coffee is ok. I asked my RE about chocolate (my weakness) and he said in moderation is fine. They say that you should have less than 300mg of caffeine per day. I think 2 cups of coffee still falls under that but I'd probably limit it to one.

sloan - That's awesome that you saw the heartbeat and no more PIO! Congrats!

as for me, I had my b/w & u/s this morning. Still waiting on b/w results. U/s was great - we saw 1 little bean (gestational sac really) measuring 4.1 mm! Right on track according my RE. I go in next week for another b/w & u/s.
me 38: no problems

IVF #1 (Nov 08 ): BFP! - 2 xfer'd, 4 cyro. Ended in M/C at 8 weeks.

tough decisions...

Post by pixelgirl »

so i had another u/s this morning (day 8 of stims) and still only 3-4 eggs. (sounds more like 3 and hoping to get a 4th). no difference from saturday's appt.

my hormone levels are good it's just that my ovaries appear to be pretty challenged. obviously her recommendation was to convert this cycle to IUI and then the next cycle, give me the "mac daddy" dose hoping that they can get a few more eggs. she said that from my response, i'll never be one of those people that coughs up 10 eggs - if we get 6, she'll consider it a good response.

all other tests and indicators showed that i should have gotten a much better response. she thinks that this shows that i may have been part of the problem we were having, not just my man. she says it's most likely my age - almost 38 - that's causing my ovaries to be challenged.

so the deal is we've already agreed to do IVF ONE time. if it didn't work for whatever reason, we would accept and move on. even last night we talked and agreed that we didn't want to do even the shots again.

so now it's time for my DH and I to have a "come to jesus" meeting and make the decision. do we convert to IUI or go for it and know that our chances with IVF will be much, much lower than we'd originally hoped. it would be so much easier if it didn't cost so much!!!!!

if we do the IVF, we trigger tomorrow i think for a weds ER. if we do the IUI, we trigger tonight. either way, i won't have to do the shots more more than one more day and i HATE THEM WITH A PASSION so that is great news!

continuing to send you all good positive baby-making vibes!

Pixigirl - That is a hard decision. You would have to follow your heart. IVF would be more money but your chances would be higher. If this is the only cycle you will be doing, I think I would go the IVF route. You will then have a chance of have a couple of eggs that get fertilized and put back. Plenty of ladies have been able to conceive with only a couple. Good luck with your decision.

Robin and Sloan - Glad to see you both had some good U/S. Sloan, must have been really exciting to see the HB.

amanda717 - Be a downer all you want. Most of us have been in your shoes once or twice before. I always have the same feelings "Will I ever be PG". The only thing we can do is get back on the horse and keep trying to we just can't try and longer. Take a break, relax and enjoy life.

Kas - GL at your baseline. I guess we will have to do the AF dance for you so she will come and visit and you can get the show on the road.

jandc33 - GL at ET tomorrow, sounds like you have some good eggs. How many are you going to transfer. I would plead your case and tell them you defiantly want to transfer and not go to day 6. Not many clinics do a day 6 transfer so there should be no reason why you can't do a day 5.

lynnie - Wishing you the best at ER. I know the extra day didn't grow your follies more but maybe now that are more mature. We can always hope that the extra day helped.

Foreverlove - How are stims going?

Nothing new with me. Just hanging out till Wednesday. Trying to visualize my E2 levels going down and my follicle disappearing. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Chris

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I haven't been on for a while - I have been so busy at work. I dont really have time to respond to everyone - but I am thinking about you all and praying for each and every one of you to get your christmas present early.

I started taking Follistim (sp?) along with Lupron on Friday night. I went in for another ultrasound this morning and they see 4 in each ovary so far and she said that was normal and good for only being on the meds since Friday. I just wait for my blood results to see if I continue on with the same dosage for the next couple of days. The medicine is giving me headaches, but so far that is about it.

Hugs to all!!!!

Hello everyone! I am finally back after a couple days of resting on the couch after my ET. I accidentally said ER on one of my posts (oops!). MY DH made me stay on the couch the entire two days. He was a total sweetheart! I have been praying non stop that they stick - at least one!!! They transferred two eggs. I was hoping on three but, they know what they're doing and they were "grade A" so, hopefully it all works out. I go in on the 3rd for b/w so, I can't wait!!!

Gina, a BIG congratulations on your BFP!!!!!

Chris, I hope your levels are down by Wednesday.

Lady_J, Wishing_4_blessings,Babyhope, KKE, I'm with you on the 2WW now and it's been killin me emotionally but, I realize ad I am sure you guys do that you just gotta chill and relax because worrying about it isn't going to make matters better one bit! All we can do is try and stay positive during this crazy wait time!

Karen, I am so happy you’re doing well with your BFP and am glad that you have a great doc. Congrats on getting your pregnancy books - that has to be a great feeling! I was the one to reccomend the book for your DH. I am so glad you got it for him. I don't think either of you will be disappointed! Let me know how he liked it.

Foreverlove, I am very happy things are now underway for you. Hopefully with them having the information on you that they do, there won't be any surprises and your transfer will go more smoothly.

Pixelgirl, After my ER I was very sore the day of the ER & the day after just due to how many they took out. No worries. If it gets really bad and persists for longer than a few days, call your doc.

Kas, It's good to hear that you’re able to move forward with your protocol.

JDC, Hopefully Thanksgiving Day you will truly have reason to be thankful!

Sloan, I hope all is well and your u/s went good!

Rosario, I am so sorry to hear about what has been going on with your previous clinic. If I were you, I'd report them to the Better Business Bureau. I don't know if there is anything medically you can report them to but, I'd definately look into it. I hope that your new clinic is so much better and things go great for you!

Lynniecat, Good luck on the ER!

Well, if I missed anyone - I sincerely apologize, when I do personals, I try to get to as many people as I can and go off my chicken scratched notes I've made.
I may not be on for a few days - which means that I will be SOOO behind on everyones progress and will have a TON to read when I get back on but, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!! Good luck to all...
