bonnie_bc-keep us posted on what your OB says today. You are in our thoughts.
Sometimes I think it's harder to find out so early that you are pregnant with IVF. It's nice to know so you can do the right things but the waiting is treacherous! I feel like each day that goes by, my DW is wondering if everything is ok and if we will indeed see that heartbeat on Monday at our US. Does anyone else feel nervous/anxious about their first US?
I also feel with the hormones that you are on, it doesn't make things easier because emotions are so high!
I feel so positive about this one and hope so much Monday goes well! Here's to hoping all of us on here have healthy babies in July!

Good Afternoon ladies:

Bonnie I have been thinking aboutyou all night. I hope things went well withyour doctor this morning. Did they retake another Beta? Please let us know, we are here for you...

kb, I know exactly what you mean.. It is wonderful knowing so soon so you can refrain from the bad and indulge in the good. However every cramp, every sign you wonder is that normal.. The wait in-between test are torture. I actually insisted this morning that they send me another Rx for a 3rd beta. I went about 90 minutes ago so this test will have been 5o hrs past beta #2.. It is stat sowe should have the results by the end of the day.. Then still have to wait for US until 12/1

I just want to have this U/S and see my babies HB and know they are doing well and how many. Thank goodness for these boards or I would go nuts.

Quick update:

My beta yesterday was 3600 which isn't a double of Monday's 2200. Ugh. OB wants another blood test on Monday. That will be #6. They want to see if numbers are increasing or if they are slowing down. If they are slowing, ultrasound next to see what's going on. I want higher numbers so please pray that everything gets moving. This is just frustrating.

I could not agree with you ladies more about how hard it is to wait for tests & U/S and question every little physical feeling. KB2131- I can tell you I was VERY nervous waiting for my first U/S-- to the point I was sick to my stomach on top of the nausea I already have! But the relief you'll get after is a good reward. It's helped me quit questioning every feeling -which I still get.

I look forward to when we can all chat about getting big and fat and round!! :)

Bonnie- sending positive thoughts your way for ever growing BETA numbers. Keep us posted! Happy weekend all.....

KB2131, I had my 3rd beta around 23dpt. My first beta was 12dpt and 2nd was 16dpt. Thanks for the encouragement! I'm still anxious until the first u/s, can't help it. I can so relate to your DW being tired. I would be in bed right now if I weren't still at work. Can't wait to go home! I had a tough time with the ticker too. I think if you copy and paste the info from Lillypie into your profile info at the bottom, it should work. I had to try a few times before I figured it out. If you need more specific instructions let me know and I'll try to give more details. Have a great weekend everyone!

KB2131- yes, I had my first u/s two days ago on Thursday (heartbeat found!) and have another in less than two weeks. I feel your DW's pain-- I took a big fat nap today and will still likely be ready for bed before 9 tonight. Hope she finds some energy to enjoy a bit of the weekend :)

Ultrasound-twins!

Post by kb2131 »

Hi there!
we had our first OB ultrasound this morning and there are two sacs-TWINS!! They are both measuring right on target-one 5w6d and the other 6w1d the once the ultrasound tech called our chunky monkey :)
we are so very excited! DW is tired-taking a nap as we speak but we feel so blessed and hope the pregnancy continues going well. They could not count the heartrate but we could see both of the babies hearts beat pretty distinctly which is great. she said at our US next week we should be able to see the hearts beat more distinctly. How is everyone doing?

Kb2131, congratulations! Wow twins huh?! That's wonderful! I go tomorrow and am anxious but excited. I think once we see that everything looks okay, heartbeat, etc I'll feel better. BTW, I love the little nickname Chunky Monkey. Very cute!

KB, Congrats on TWINS!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure you both must be over the moon. It will be so nice when you get to hear those litle hearts beating..

My U/S is next Monday I will be 6w 1d, From my betas and the quality we put back it seems that all 3 might have snuggled in. I guess only the U/S will tell..

Again I am so excited for you.

Hi all,

Bonnie bc - I am thinking of you & hope your beta rises nicely.

It sounds as though everyone is coming along nicely. I had my first ob appointment yesterday. All went well - I am, but now 8 weeks 5 days (I can't believe it!!!!). He did another scan and said everything looked perfect. The only thing is that I have a cyst on my right ovary - he is confident that it will resolve itself.

I am very exhaused and have the dreaded morning sickness!!! All great signs though!

Take care
