I practically did not sleep at all for my first 2ww! I was so anxious. Second time, I slept a little better but overall, I cannot help being very anxious in all my cycles. That was why I did HPT 7 days PT and kept doing it until ran out the sticks!
I think medrol does make some people hungry but not sure about progesterone, some complain it causes constipation, but it did not seem to be the case for me.
Fingers crossed for you!

OK, results are in, I passed the GTT, phew, I can happily eat my pecan pie now! Catharine, the lab is 3 min away from my office, I just walked to it every hour this morning. I love working in med ctr! I can see the room that I gave birth to my DD from my office. I walked to L&D last time. So, no novel readings. I am reading Obama's books at the moment, very inspiring.

Yasmina: That is great news about your glucose test.
Ronda: Yes, I feel lucky to have the 4 frosties. Will you have the pregnancy test before or after Thanksgiving? If I have any embies to transfer, I will not be able to wait until I have the official pregnancy test. I will have to test using HPT's.
Catharine: I know what you mean about wanting another baby. It looks like we are the same age. I would really like my DS to have a younger sibling. My DH has a 15 year old son from his 1st marriage, but the age difference it too much and he seems to be jealous of my little guy.
Take care of yourself and DD. It gets easier. I remember when I would get 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep, I was in heaven.
I have the RE appt. today. All systems are a go and I am just waiting for my next cycle. It should be right around Thanksgiving Day. I have my prescriptions for my cycle drugs that I need to fill at the pharmacy and am just going to wait until AF starts next week! Since my transfer will be a day 3 transfer I guess I should be hoping for 8 cell embies??
Take care all,
Tammy

Well, it's 3:30am in the ATL and here I sit with DD. She's actually in a light sleep at the moment, but everytime I put her down she thinks she's hungry. So here we sit together as I type this post.
Yasmina: Glad to here you passed the GTT. How nice to be right there on site.
Rhonda: keep the PMA. I confess I was so busy with work each 2ww that it flew by. I know it's difficult, but try to remain relaxed.
Tammy: just a week before AF? fingers crossed.
So, we find ourselves in yet another home repair upheavle . Sometime Monday night our zone 1 furnace [main living quarters] decided to die. On the coldest nights [currently 26F] wouldn't you know. So, we're living upstairs in zone 2 only going downstairs when absolutely necessary [foraging for food] as the temp downstairs is hoovering around 50F. Sadly, many H/Vac services are booked solid with emergency repairs could it get any worse? Hopefully later today we will make the que of repairs, don't hold your breath.
While I type this post I'm playing a CD of lullabys we received as a promo. It's quite nice, put DH to sleep and soothes DD .
So sorry to hear about your furnace problems. We recently had plumbing issues, but luckily got that resolved. Our house was built in 1985, so we have been doing a lot of remodeling. We totally gutted the kitchen over the summer and remodeled with hard wood floors, new cabinets and countertops. I really like my new kitchen. I wanted to gut the master bath this coming summer but have decided that I don't want a contractor in my house for an extended period this summer. We did some quick updates like paint, new flooring, new light fixture and new vanity hardware. It is amazing how much better it can look for under $200.00!
My DS still listens to his lullaby CD everynight before bedtime and before his naps as well. It calms him. I even keep an extra copy in my car for road trips.
I should be starting AF on Thanksgiving Day! I need to get my prescriptions filled so that I am ready with my estrogen pills. We will be having 14 people for Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to it. My family comes for Thanksgiving Dinner and then most of them spend the night at our house and go shopping the AM.
Yasmina: How are you feeling? Hopefully, everything is well with you.
Rhonda: How is the 2ww going for you?
Take care all,
Tammy

Thanks for the update and thanks for asking about me. I am doing fine but I think the baby stops growing, either that, or I get used to the big belly now because I don't feel any physical burden anymore! But mentally, I become very anxious, dreaming a lot about delivery and baby troubles. I feel a little bit guilty for not spending too much time to prepare for our DS's arrival - have not bought a much stuff for him yet except two miracle blankets. Planning on recycle DD's stuff including infant cloth. However, we came up with a short list of names and we like Remy the best, but DH needs to see him before he can decide whether it suits him. You are all welcome to give me ideas if you know of any good French baby boy names. His Chinese middle name is Songyang, which means tall and strong pine tree that glorifies the family. DD has a Chinese middle name too, Yangli, which means nimble-witted foreign girl.
DH is going to Thailand right after Thanksgiving for 8 days, so we decided to go visit my Aunt's family in NJ this weekend. Will leave tomorrow until next Monday.
Tammy,
Getting excited for your coming cycle now, will check your progress and accompany your journey!
Catharine,
Good that you have a zone 2 to go to, I cannot imagine if the heater is broke in our 77 yr old house! Hope your furnace gets fixed soon! Are you trying to spoil your DD? Sounds like that you don't have any helper in the house to help cooking and cleaning? And you still have time to do freguent posting?! You are my hero! I had parents-in-laws to do the cooking and cleaning in the first 6 weeks and then my Aunt to take care of DD for another 3 months. Our in laws will come again at the beginning weeks to help and we are also getting my father and his wife here to help after that for another 2 months before we send our DS to daycare.
I went to a baby shower held by a mother of 5 week old infant last weekend, she let the little 5wk old lies in a bouncer and this little creature was fully awake and looked around the crowd for a long while without making any fuss and then felt in sleep on his own! Also, yesterday at daycare I saw a girl who is just a little over 1 year sitting on the potty and saying "pee pee" happily. I was so amazed! Babies could be so different!
Rhonda,
How are you holding up on your 2ww waiting? Are you going to use HPT at some point?
Take care, everyone here!

I am trying to not dwell on the 2ww but I cannot help it. I have been filled with self doubt today and yesterday. It's just my personality. I guess you could say I also fear the worst. I hate that about myself. I think I am more of a realist than anything and I do that so I don't get my hopes up. I did go ahead and do a hpt this morning just to see if the hcg trigger shot was out of my system. People on the forum have said it takes two weeks to get out of the body, but my hpt was negative this morning and it has only been 9 days since i did the trigger shot. I did it so maybe now i can do one every couple days til my beta test next Wednesday that way if it says positive then i will know its for real. Even though I know its too early to show up it was very sad to see the negative anyway. I want to much to see the BFP!! When do you think I could do the HPT and it be positive? I did the retrieval on the 12th and transfer on the 15th. I dont have any symptoms. Well the sore boobs are from the progesterone I guess because i have had this since before the transfer. My poor body doesn't know what to think. I wonder when I would start AF if I not pregnant. Im so affraid I will find it soon. Someone on here said she had her AF 5 days after her transfer. What's so bad about that is we have to be the one to discover it and we have to tell DH. That is just not fair!!! Sorry to be so down. I don't want to bring anyone down on this forum. I just am in the dumps today. Hope I will be in better spirits tomorrow.
How are you ladies doing? Take care.

So sorry to hear that you are down in the dumps. The 2ww is the worst. It sounds as if you took the HPT much too soon. At least now, if you take an HPT and it is a BFP, it is not because of the trigger shot! Try to remain positive. I know it is hard.
Take care all,
Tammy

I posted earlier this morning but for some reason it didn't post
Good morning everyone
Rhonda-Try not to worry. We are here to support you. Know that we have all been in your position. Try to focus on the optimism your RE gave you. In addition you may want to eat some pineapple as it is believed to have properties aiding in implantation. Several of us followed the prescript. And it has an added benefit of aiding in digestion. Remember also that you are pregnant until proven otherwise.
So, hopefully we are to get a new furnace tomorrow. Until then we're camping out upstairs in the newly finished bonus room. Ironically, it is the warmest room upstairs.
Rhonda - Keep the Faith...2ww is difficult enough without giving yourself such a hard time (((HUGS))) x x x Sending you loads and loads of ***BABY DUST*** and positive vibes to tide you through the remaining days. praying for ya x x x Good Luck x x x

Nothing is harder than just plain waiting. If u are as crazy as me, I started to do HPT as early as day 6 after transfer. If your sticks are as sensitive as mine, you can see positive line on the 7th day, which means this Saturday for you. However, you need to be very patient, leave the stick alone for 10 min before attempt to check, then you need NASA grade lenses to guess where the second line is - i mean squint and turn the stick under the light for long long time. If you don't see anything, not to worry, repeat next day. I saw many posters here people say that their hpt neg but blood test positive. But in my cases, I could get positive line 1 week bf blood test. The secret is get the cheap sticks from dollar store, they are more sensitive than any other fancy ones that I have used. good luck!
Tammy and Jen,
Thinking of you too!

Tammy,
Thanks for checking on me. I am trying to hang in there. I dont think I am pg. at the earlier part of the week my boobs were really sore and big(haha) from the progesterone I guess and in the last couple of days, they have changed. still a little sore but not firm like when AF is about to come. usually mine are really sore and then the day o two before AF they get like they are now. I always said i could tell what was going on with my body by my boobs. I did another hpt this morning. BFN. Now my question is when yaw(guess you can tell Im southern) talk about doing the test and this and that many days past. Are you meaning past retrevial or transfer. Today i am 6 Days past Transfer and 9 days past retrieval. I had a 3 day transfer. Do how do I calculate it. Seeing that bfn is heartbreaking even if it is early. and given the feeling of the boobs even further worried. I go Wednesday for my beta. Take care.
Everyone,
I hope you all are hanging in there. To all the BFP's I hope you are feeling well. To the BFN, Im so sorry. and to the 2ww-ers like me. We don't have a choice but to wait do we?
I have my beta on Wednesday. And to top that off we are going on a skiing trip that day. Matter a fact, I work that night get off at 7am and leave straight from work and go to the RE office that is an hour away then head to West Virginia for the trip. Crazy huh? So it will take around 7 or 8 hours to get there, so basically I will find out while I am on the road on the cell phone and with my family in the car. So, it will be a good ride or a very sad one. So, Im going not knowing if I can ski or get in the hot tub or anything. I plan on taking a good book to read just in case. I just don't want to spoil anyones fun if it is negative. Have a wonderful weekend.

I think "dpo" - days past ovulation translates to ER, but i'm not sure on this. I have been trying to find this info. myself. Since I am having a frozen cycle, I will not be having an ER, but will consider my thaw the ER.
Hopefully Yasmina can set us straight, as she is always up on everything relating to IVF. According to the chart I found, 10 days DPO or ER the BETA could be anywhere from 4 - 245 with the median being 21. That would be tomorrow for you so today may be too early to test. I know that I will have get my beta until 12 days after my ET.
Try to be positive. I know it is difficult. You are going to be with your family on vacation so have a great time!!
Take care all,
Tammy

Yasmina: Please give me a summary of what to eat/drink as I prepare for my cycle. Didn't you eat pineapple to aid in implantation? I also need to know when I should limit caffeine. I start my Estrace this Wednesday and am tentatively scheduled for ET on 12/12.
Rhonda: How are you? I hope you are alright. Isn't your beta this Wed?
Catharine: How are you and the little one doing? I hope you are getting into a routine.
Jen Babes: How are you doing? It was very good to hear from you. When do you get the puppy?
