well considering my age 43!!!!! .........i started with a risk of 1 : 27
and it went up to 1 : 199 (the age of a 37 year old no less !!!)
the fold mesured 1.6mm, the consultant was brilliant we were with
him for nearly 1hr, he explained that anything under 300 is high risk
but u have to take into account the risk if u want to have CVS/amnio
so my dp and i both agreed we were quite happy with our risk and
are not having any further tests. I spoke with my sister-in-law last
last night and she was 39 when she had her little girl and her risk
was 1 : 455 and the fold measured the same as mine 1.6mm, so
i feel reasonable happy.
It was so wonderful to see the little one, what a mover, and we even
got a little wave, we have a vidio which i havnt had time to watch,
as i had to go out shopping for shorts, (off on hols next week Ye Ha)
its been a nightmare trying to get shorts, but eventually track
some nice onces down in BHS and very inexpensive.
