Hi Girls,
Had scan today and all is well! After having to wait for over an hour and practically wetting myself in the waiting room we eventually went in. "Pip" was wriggling about and midwife said everything looked fine. Little so and so wouldn't play ball for the pictures though so we only got one picture. He/she is on all fours and was looking straight out at us!!
One spooky thing has happened though, when you look at the scan picture there is a patch of white on it which spookily looks exactly like my dads face!! how weird is that!
One thing that did confuse me though was that the midwife says going by the measurements of the baby I am 16wks and 2 days and my due date is 11 August whereas the IVf clinic's dates put me at 15wks and 1 day with a due date of 20 August. I don't quite understand how they could differ because they have the exact date of fertilisation or maybe the date they actually implant makes a difference? Has anybody else been given different due dates after their 12 week scan?
Anyway, I am just so relieved that all is well and am now looking forward to my 20 week scan on March 29th.

I'm pleased your scan went well. I don't know what it is with EDD - mine keeps changing too. I started off at 2nd June and when I went to see the midwife she said its more like the 3rd May!! I guess they go by the size of the baby (or in my case babies) and the 40wk pregnancy is on a general indication.
I guess our babies will all come when they are ready - look at Shell - two weeks late and look at Zoe - seven weeks early!!
As long as they are all safe and healthy thats all that matters.

Our darling son Jake was born in October 2004 on our 3rd IVF attempt. I have PCOS. We're now trying again naturally, before embarking on our next FET IVF possibly late 2005... so watch this space!!!

What a relief hey? They say all babies grow at the same rate and therefore go on this - they changed mine by two days too! We all know it is impossible!

ttc 9 years. 38 yrs old, dh 8 hrs younger!First IVF in Aug 2002 and had ectopic.2nd IVF neg.3rd FET and negative.4th FET and positive but sadly lost our little boy at 20 weeks.5th FET and Alice Isobel and Emily Charlotte born 5th Aug 2004!

Glad to hear your scan went great. I only got one day difference with my scan. If you go by the date they give you your due the same day as me by the ivf clinic but the scan says i am due on the 12 August.

I.V.F started in 2001. 1st cycle +ve mc nov 2001 at 12 weeks. Fet mar 2002 +ve then -ve.
2nd cycle +ve eptopic oct 2002 6 weeks.
fet mar 2003 -ve. 3rd cycle over stimulated embies frozen. Fet nov 2003 +ve due 11/8/04.

girls realy do need, i know the docs. say once we are pregnant
us ivf girls are the same as any other pregnant girl, but i say different,
we will always continue to worry till our little one's are delievered
safely into our arms.
i have my 12 1/2 wks scan last week and i was given an earlier
date by the consultant by 3 days so i think the dates can change.

My 20wk scan said babe measured 3 days bigger than edd so that makes me 24th April. As we know to the exact day our due dates I'm sticking to 27th April. I am v big now though so I think babe may be early. I'm like a kid in a sweet shop.

Bertie - you must be SOOOOOO excited!!! Not long to go now. I guess when s/he wants to come he/she will come regardless of dates!! Hopefully my two wont' be far behind you either. I just want them to come so I can play with my new bugaboo without having to use one of my nieces dolls!!!!
I'm guessing the time will slow down as the end approaches. Each day becomes more uncomfortable than the last and the more excited we get to meet our babies!!!
