I have been a watcher on this site over the years. I have had several failed ivf's, numerous surgery and then recently developed irregular bleeding. Back in July was when it all started and my Gp thought it may be very early stages miscarriage. Preg test was negative. I went for a scan on 1 August and it showed a follicle that had not collapsed/dissolved properly. He did not think anything wrong and said the NHS would send another appointmnet for a repeat scan. The scan app did not arrive, so recently i chased it up with a Gp appointment as i restarted the pain on the right hand side ovary and the irregular bleeding. On one day it was bright red blood, then 5 days of old clotted blood. I have a Gp app tomorrow and i have a scan on Thursday. I am so worried, i have looked on different sites and it all seems negative. I know that they are really common but it is the bleeding and pain that worries me. Has anybody else experienced this.
It may have been pain and bleeding from a ruptured ovarian cyst. If it ruptured on its own then you no longer have to worry about it. That is a good thing.
Many thanks for your reply. I had my scan today and it was completely clear of the cyst which was good news. However at the scan i was told the bleeding could be due to a small fibroid at the top of the uterus, but she was not sure. I have a Gp appointment in December to get the results and also to discuss about a referrel to poss have donor egg. I have had two failed ivf with own eggs which did not fertilise and one natural cycle which did not fertilise. I am a poor responder to the drugs. Just turned 40 years old in August so i need to make some decision as i really want to have a child of our own. I spent many years just working and keeping busy to take my mind away from thinking about it all the time.
