wonderce- i was turned away at the massage place  they have a strict no first trimester policy. my doctor said there is no reason they couldn't have done it but i guess in this lawsuit-happy world, they dont want to push it.

I had a great weekend so far... definitely happy its only Saturday though. Wednesday is my first u/s. I'm nervous about it but I have been having some bad nausea after every meal lately so i guess the little bugger is still in there. i cant wait until this first trimester is over so i can tell all my friends!
Me 25, DH 27

10X clomid, 3 w/IUI
IVF 1- BFP, MC@9 wks
IVF 2- BFN
husband laid off- no infertility coverage
3X with femara, all BFN's but has regulated my cycle and FINALLY got positives on ovulation test

Hello everyone-

Kas sorry to hear about your cancelled cycle, you must be so bummed 8 ( But on the upside thank goodness you are okay!!! Jan will be here before you know it.

Karen its difficult to ward off those worrisome thoughts but the important thing is to just keep praying and being positive, especially since everything looks good now.

LadyJ: when are you going for your beta since we had retrieval around the same time? I am not havng any symptoms one way or the other. My nipples and breasts were pretty sore (too much info??? 8 ) ) but other than that nothing. No bleeding over here either. Last time I had a significant amount of bleeding leading up to my beta test and I actually feel much better having no bleeding. My head is constantly doing circles but really just tying to be positive. I am actually lookng forward to Mon so I can head back to work. I think being home n not doing much is driving me nuts.

Welcome icsiivf!!!! Hope this cycle brings you your bfp!!!

Pixie: Howd everything going with the ET? My fingers are crossed that everything went well.

Take care ladies & keep hanging in there!!!!

When is your Test? I know, I tell my mom, I dont feel anything, she just laughs, its too early for me to feel anything she says.

WOnderace.... I want to do a HPT but I think I am going to stick it out. Besides, I have come so far and I think 6 longs days shouldnt be too bad...right??? :?

I am getting ready to go to my in-laws for a visit. ANd afterwearing joggers all week. I tried on my jeans... and they dont fit :( They feel too tight when I button them. WHat am I going to do. All my jeans are feeling like that. aaarrrr.

kas101 - so sorry to hear they cancelled your cycle! my god, those hives sounded HORRIBLE!!!!! as disappointing as this is, you need to remember that you need to be in your best physical shape to go through with this and have the best chance so doing it covered in huge miserable spots is not the way the go. once they figure out how to keep your spots under control, you'll get a better protocol and you'll be in a much better place to concentrate on making babies! hang in there and know we are thinking of you!

praying4icsibaby - welcome aboard! great to have you!

as for me - today was my ET and though i was nervous and a tad nauseus (sp?) from drinking more water than one would think humanly possible, we did it!

i didn't sleep a wink last night waiting for the am call where they'd tell me that nothing survived and then i got no call so we were like, something must have made it to today. we went in and they didn't tell us how many we had until i was on the table in the OR. turns out that we had 2 really good embyros - i couldn't believe it! one is a grade 1 (highest grade), no fragmentation, and 10 cells and the other is a grade 2, very little fragmentation, 8 cell. they put them in and the procedure was very mellow - sort of like an insemination but with DH holding my hand in surgical scrubs. now i'm on bedrest for a few days so i've got to go before dh comes and drags me back into bed.

good luck everybody and try and stay as positive as possible - though sometimes it's hard - it's the best way to send good vibes to our eggs and embies!

Hay Ladies,

Thankyou to everyone who was sorry my cycle was cancelled... I have an update.

My hives and welts have cleared considerably since the IV's and so i called up my RE as i'm NOT ready to give in yet. The antagonist protocol didnt work for me and i nearly got cancelled for poor response, so this protocol is my best chance. I will obviously never be able to take Lupron again and at least i have some in my body this cycle. ALso i have already paid for my baseline and /S ($495) and shot up over $900 in menopur so it seems such a waste to give in.

My Re told meto carry on for now and he will see me in a few days and take another u/s and see. So as for now i am hanging in there by my fingernails but i'm still going...for now. Many of you mat think i'm crazy to do this but i just cant let go yet.

ALso my doctor on the ER said my reaction to this lupron was so severe that it indicated an overly charged immune response. I have read aout this before (natural killer cells can kill off any foreigh objects in the body including an embryo as they cannot select what is ok and what is not) After my RE heard this he said if i make it to ER he will be giving me corticosteroids for upto 6 months of pregnancy. I'm hoping that firstly i make it to ER and ET without getting cancelled again, but im pleased they have found this out about me so the cortico steroids could actually help me in the end.

I dont know how to feel i'm happy but i know i'm not in the clear yet

mrscutter, sorry to hear your BFN, praying for you.
Welcome Praying4icsibaby !!!
waiting for 4, waiting to hear your U/s results
jandc33, you are close to the door, dec 4. waiting hear another BFP !!!.
to_have_fun08, hope the 2nd opinion from new RE will help you to proceed.
wonderce, happy to hear everything is going well with you.
Kas101, sorry to hear your bad time, happy to see you are recovering and praying for you to make this cycle and a BFP!!.

Thinking and praying for all others I didn't mention,
About me, I had an U/s today and my RE is happy with the results and b/w. I'll be on estradiol/progesteron and my FET with 2 blastocysts is confirmed for 12/4.
Praying for the blastocysts to survive the thaw process. I read that there are more chances for a cleaved embryo transfer to get pregnant compared to a blastocyst in a FET cycle.
Did any one have a previous FET with blastocyst?

8 IUI - Gonal F - BFN
#1 IVF - 2 blastocysts - BFN - 10/12

FET:

I read that 3 day emmies freeze/defrost better than a 5 day blast. Not sure, perhaps it has something to do with the time it takes to defrost?

Hello all! I have been MIA lately so, as suspected I've missed out on a lot! I'm going to skip the personals at this time just cause it's been so long and congratulate those that are doing so well and apologize to those that aren't and let you know my hopes and prayers are with you. One person I do want to bring up is tohavefun as they were the one to start this board & has been extremely positive for all of us but unfortunately, has run into some trouble...

SO - to have fun: If you are still looking for someone - I HIGHLY reccomend Dr.Charles Miller in Naperville right by Edward Hospital. It might be a bit far for you but he is seriously THE BEST. People travel from all over the country to go to him. He is a wonderful doctor and his staff is phenomenal. I guarantee you would be happy with him. I didn't have one issue with him (I'm in the 2WW right now) and have nothing but great things to say about him.

As far as I go - I am in the 2WW and going nuts. I recently had a bit of an emotional breakdown as today I started to have a brown spotty discharge almost like my period is starting. My DH has tried to ease my nerves saying this can happen and does to a lot of women and not to worry about whether or not I'm pregnant. I just can't help it though. Perhaps someone else has gone through the same thing and got a BFP?! God, I hope so!!! I left a message for the doc to call me tomorrow and hopefully it's nothing. I go in for b/w on Wednesday and will get my results. I am just praying that it's positive (while letting out a big sigh with tears in my eyes).

Anyway - I wish you all the best of luck, I'll try to keep up more now that Thanksgiving is over and the shopping is complete!!
Spreading hope and baby dust to all!

havbaby1627- it sounds like implantation spotting to me (unless it is as heavy as your AF). I had a late implant- about 3 days before my beta, but only had cramps and not spotting. Keep your hopes up, you haven't seen anything indicating a BFN yet :D

As for me... I need to stop reading m/c information. I am constantly convincing myself my next results will come back bad but I have yet to see any indication of that. I guess it comes with the territory. A little update on my sister-in-law: she still has no clue if she will keep her baby or give it up but she didnt eat hardly anything all day Thursday and only drank 1.5 bottles of water- I sure hope she get her act together. It looks like she is actually due in February so who knows... maybe I'll get a big Valentine's Day gift

waiting for 4 thanks for the helpful response. I am just totally freaking out over here and I know that it's not doing me any good but, my mind is just running in circles. I am going to call first thing tomorrow morning even though I already left a message and see what can be figured out if anything. I know I am too early to do a pregnancy test and b/w probably won't even show yet but, we'll see what can be done. Thanks again though - I needed some positive reinforcement. :?
