2WW Day 10 - anyone else out there?

Good morning.... So Saturday was our beta and as I suspected we got a BFN. We're pretty devastated. I just imagined going through the holiday season pregnant and happy. Looks like we'll get to try this again in January already. We're meeting with the RE today to discuss the cycle and find out what, if anything, we could do different this time around. I wish you all the best of luck and thanks for your support.

Druiett - Congrats on your positive HPT!!!! That's great news!

Checking in again....Took the hpt last week at 4dp3dt & again 6dp3dt & both were negative so I know the trigger shot was gone. (I already reported this). Well I took another yesterday (sunday) 10dp3dt & it was POSITIVE!! I'm taking another wed, since I have one left, & my blood test is thursday (dec. 4) I'm hoping both will be positive. Last night I had some light spotting, pinkish, & this morning brown. Isn't it too late to be implantation since I've already got the + hpt? I know it could be one of them tearing away right?? Now I'm worried but cautiously optimistic. The second line showed up almost immediately so I'm hoping that's good. Not a faint line but very much much there!! I am so excited & just awaiting the "final" word. Dh is reluctant to believe the hpt since he remembers in orientation them saying not to test at home cuz they can be false results. I told him the other 2 were neg though so to me that means I'm pregnant.

Right???

Hello ladies.. got my 2nd beta today.. it was 432. Sounds good to me! I go again on Wednesday and they said next week for an ultrasound.

I know it is early to be asking this but is anyone considering additional testing.. like the CVS testing etc. If so, do you know when that testing can be done? I am calling my OB/GYN later to find out more. I just want to make sure all is healthy since I had problems in the past. I will not be able to rest until I know all is well.

It looks like I will have to wait until 2009 too. I didn't go for blood work yet thats Friday(I think) Something weird happened this cycle. I duplicated the frozen cycle that I did in May. Now in May I got a BFP miscarried at 8 weeks (took the Summer off & then some)but this is the weird part. Last time I had to do PIO besides the inserts. I kept asking my nurse this time how come no PIO she said this is a natural frozen cycle I said so was last time. The day of the transfer I asked my Dr.s partner & he said you don't need it. I said last time I did it.(I wasn't complaining believe me) My Husband said when they wheeled me away the nurses were whispering behind the curtain. The Dr. made a point to tell me I didn't need it this time. Now I have taken 4 HPT all saying BFN. My transfer was on 11/23. I know I need to go for blood on the 4th but they didn't even tell me when. As I was leaving all I got was good luck. That was it. So I am very disappointed & annoyed. I mean I did ask the Dr. to his face. Where do I go from here? This is my 5th total IVF. 3 fresh & 2 frozen. I will do it over in January but what does everyone think a new Dr. or no? I had 2 CP & 1 actual BFP

...how many embryos did you put in???
Also I think you have to wait until 13 weeks for CVS, I'm not positive though...

DNT0809...it does seem a little fishy, I read your post a few times to make sure I was reading correctly...No matter what you still wait for your bloodwork because you did not get a BFN, but other than that you should probobly switch dr's regardless because it seems you are not comfortable with them and that really is the most importat thing...GOOD LUCK

hi just a quick update. i am still in the 2ww and yesterday i went in for blood work and all they told me is that my hcg level went from 108 on friday 11/28 to 1079 yesterday. i am thinking that is a good thing but they said they couldnt confirm anything yet. the nurse also said they checked something to do with the thyroid and that was 3.1. does anyone no what that is or means?

wow, your numbers sound great, what did they mean they couldn't confirm anything yet?? That confused me.
Not sure about the thyroid. I'm sure someone here will have some info for you. Good luck!!

i am not sure why they wouldnt confirm a bfp or a bfn yet either. the nurse just told me they couldnt and that i need to come back on friday. does a higher number mean twins?

that's strange that they won't confirm pregnancy...From what I've read here high numbers can mean twins. I would think with those numbers they'd definately confirm. I just don't get that. And you got positive home tests right??

hi yes i got 2 bfp on home test. they told me they have to wait at least 14 days from rt to confirm and that wont be until thursday.

Hmm, I have no idea what to say, just seems if you got 2 hpt +'s & your numbers are doing that, you're pregnant!!

But then again, my clinic doesn't do any testing like some here have posted. the prog. levels, etc. I had the ultrasounds & bloodwork while stimming then nothing until 14 days after transfer which is thursday for me. I've done 3 tests at home. 2 very early to see if the hcg was gone & they were neg. One sunday & it was positive. I'm doing the last one today or tomorrow then hopefully thursday I'll get the official confirmation.
Keep me updated, I'm quite interested in if it's twins, your numbers sound really great to me.

I just took the last hpt I had & it still says positive but the positive line isn't as dark as it was on the first test I took on Sunday. Does that mean anything. The line that shows the test is working isn't as dark as the first test one either though so... Guess I'm nervous that it's not for real or right. Guess I'll know Thursday for sure.

tkh2008, I had a faint blue line last Thursday and my beta was positive on Friday and #'s doubled by Monday.

kke - I would also think that you might have more then 1 brewing... let us know.

Druiett, I only had 1 to put back but it made it to day 5... this is the 1st time I had a day 5 transfer. The other 2 cycles were day 3 with 2 and then 3 embies! I go back tomorrow for another beta and then next Wednesday for ultrasound.

I also found out that they have a 1st trimester screening test (ultrasound and bloodwork) which is used for early testing for chromosome problems. That can be done at 11 weeks I think. I will not rest until I get some additional testing done.
