Quick question... went to first u/s appt today but forgot to ask when is it Ok to resume regular activites i.e. sex?? I'm currently 5 weeks 5 days, also how long do the progesterone shots continue?

I did the shots until about 9 weeks, sex was ok for us after the first U/S when they saw that the babies where in the right spot. Ask your dr. about that though.

See they told us sex was ok 2 weeks after transfer. I know all clinics/dr's are different. My prog shots are to continue for 8 weeks total from egg retrieval.

you need to ask your RE, but as the other ladies have said, usually progesterone shots are taken for most of the 1st trimester, I was on progesterone until week # 12. My nurse said we could have sex after BFP, but we were too nervous for that. Even now, my husband is treating me almost like a little sister...not fun...but he's worried about "hurting" the baby....funny

and sucks for me

I wanted to know how many times a day are your progesterone shots?

I understand its a 3 months thing,grrrrr!!

I do 1cc every night right before bed. Yeah I'm a little irriated to know I still have about 6 more weeks of these dreadful shots

I just wanted to know how many times a day do you inject progesterone,if I remember well,my RE wants me to do it twice a day for 3 months,yuk!

I think you may ask your doctor about sex to be save. I know IVF is long process. I just wanted to be more careful

I only take one injection daily for 8 weeks from er. 5 more weeks to go for me.
