Renee, i will check it out. It sounds hilarious. If i were you i would party like a rock star while your husband is home. You need the break sister. Have fun and don't do anything i wouldn't do. Which pretty much leaves it wide open.

Hello Everyone, I'm new here, been lurking for some time but have never posted. I certainly fit your group. A little about myself, I'm 40, soon to be 41 with unexplained IF, DH perfect. in 2006 did 2 rounds of IUI both BFN. In 2007 did first IVF with BFP, B/G twins born 12/07. I had always dreamed of getting married and having children at a younger age but you know life doesn't always work out the way we plan. I didn't get marriend until 37 and had my first babies at 39. Just the way things worked out and the only thing I would change at this point would be my biological clock that seems to be gonging instead of ticking! I recently decided to attempt IVF again and got a BFN result. My FSH was at 12.5 this time around, double what it was last time but my antral follicle count was good. I had 7 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilized and 4 transfered, all of which were good quality from what the dr said. So here I am what to do next. No one around me really understands why I would want to do IVF again since I have two beautiful babies. If I were younger would they understand my desire to have more children? Who knows. I told myself that I would just make one more attempt but now I am reconsidering. Do I give it another try. Does my borderline FSH mean I should get right on another try or can I wait a few months. I thought I would come here for thoughts/support. Everyone seems so supportive of each other and who better to understand than those that are there or have been there. Sorry for the long post. Thank you for listening.

Hello Ladies:

Ladies: I had the ultrasound this morning. The tech said my lining looked great. It measured 10.5. We are set for the thaw/ferilization tomorrow and the ET on Friday. As a matter of fact, she told me that my lining looked better the lining of the 28 year old that she checked earlier this morning.

Mitch1968: Welcom to this site. We are trying for our second child, so I know how you feel about having more children. We had 4 frozen eggs left over from our last IVF that we are using this time.

Renee: Good luck on trying naturally to conceive. It can work!

Helen: Any news on your last beta?

Lynnie, Hilary: Any news yet?

Kris: How are you doing?

Hello to everyone else.

Tammy

Regards,
Tammy

Ok guys, we just moved to a new place -- the landlord was way over charging so we found something much better for less money! Thus I have had NO INTERNET for days!

I have news!!

I am pregnant! Well I think I am! I got a BFN at 11 DPO on a FRER, but it was + by night time. Did not count though since the result is not good after 10 min. So I test the next day and the test is negative, but the test has odd dots on it along the plus line. So I think maybe its faulty.

Finally this morning (13 DPO) I get a positive on a ept +/- test! Its so faint that DH claims its not there...but its there. So, I jut took another HPT a few minutes ago and got another BFP.

Unfortunately I started bleeding! Mostly brown and orange. More like spotting, a little on pad and some when I wipe. My beta is not till next Monday at 20 DPO. Ridiculous. I might just go to my primary care doctor for a beta before then![/i]

Hi all!

I have news too...But not so good. It turns out I was pregnant but NOT enough to even show on an EPT or FR. On Saturday I had a beta of 8 and by today it had gone down to 3.2....

My doctor, however, was VERY positive and told me that he still thinks I can get prego with IVF....I am even considering doing a back to back cycle. (I have not yet discussed this with my husband-who I have a feeling will not be so enthusiastic about the idea of b2b.)

Lynnie it is SOOOOO exciting that you got a BFP!!!!! The fourth time is a charm!!!! (Although in my case I hope the third time is a charm :-) )

Tammy it is also great news that your lining is so thick! My fingers are crossed for a smooth transfer and a BFP for you!!!

And a big thank you to everyone for your support during this cycle. lots Best wishes and stickiness to you all!

Hil--

Even if my does not stick I am thinking -- hey at least I got it to implant, that means there is hope if I try again...I am not sure with the bleeding, but yeah my DH says donor eggs now. He is sick of spending all the money.

Hil --

I know it sucks so bad! But I do think next time is your time. You said you felt the same as me, knew it did not work and were trying to decide -- one more time at CCRM or donor eggs. I think neither of us felt is cause our HCG was low. I mean mine is higher, but still quite faint on day 13.

Well, I would take this pregnancy as a sign to try again! I mean, that is what I will be doing if this does not work out.

I am so bummed for you. I know what you mean about the bleeding, but is it not too late for implantation bleeding. I am having stringy looking bleeding. I know TMI, but it def worries me.

I do think you are handling it well!

Kelly --

Thanks so much. This was my best transfer as my own doctor did it! I think the transfer is very important! Hows the EPP going?

Tammy --

Awesome on that super duper lining! I hope those frozen babies are ready to take advantage!

Mitch --

Heh-- having no kids myself I can not put myself in your shoes. But if you feel the need for more kids, then of course you should have more! Nothing crazy about that! I have a friend with 9 at last count and on their way to 12. They both work from home and say "cheaper by the dozen"! Its amazing to see them all in one room!

In terms of people wondering why you want more, I do not think its your age honestly. People these days all seem to want one boy, one girl. Most feel they can not afford more than two kids! But even if they can, they seem to feel happy when they have two. But that is the the in vogue number these days it seems!

And its the old in for a penny in for a pound. After one failure, you just want to double down and go again! I totally know that feeling. If you can afford it and want more kids, I would definitely do another round esp with 4 great embyros. Is your clinic good??? The transfer is also VERY important btw!

Thanks for the welcome

lynnie thanks for the input. Funny you should bring up the clinic and the importance of the transfer. I was very pleased with them while I was going through my initial treatment, 2 IUI's and one IVF, wonderful and caring Dr. The clinic was part of a local hospital but they have now merged with a bigger clinic and it wasn't quite the same this time. Way more staff but seemed way more confusing, too many hands in the pot. As I went throught he IVF process this last time I felt like I slowly lost hope in another BFP as the office just couldn't seem to get their act together. Then at transfer I did not get my regular Dr, whom I had the last transfer, instead I got the partner. The transfer was totally different and I actually felt that I would not get a BFP the moment I saw this Doc transfer the embryos. The first Dr placed the embryos one at a time this last Dr barely cleared my cervix and just gave one big push on the catheter and all I saw on the sono was a big gush. Of course my regular Dr called to give me the bad news and I explained to him that I was not happy with the transfer and how different it was from when he did it. I'm probably going to make a follow-up consult just to let my RE know of all the problems I experienced along the way, including an RX dosage being wrong among other things. First time they also gave way more info on the embryos then this time but I transferred 4 and they said all 4 were good. When the Dr calls to tell me the bad news he first asked if I wanted to try again and then asked about donor eggs. If my eggs were good then why would he ask this? Just makes me wonder and maybe that is why I am taking this BFN so hard. The consult may help and who knows, maybe I'll sign-up for another round. I have no time to waste as my FSH was 12.5 this time around, double last time but my antral follicle count was good. I still only producesd 7 eggs of which 4 fertilized, just what I needed because 4 is the recommended number to transfer for my age at my clinic.
