Any Texas Ladies?

Post by waiting for 4 »

I just thought I would see if I was all alone in this big state of mine... I am still in a constant state of waiting for each test to come back to hopefully give my doctor some peace of mind and would like to connect with some ladies near me, either considering, going through or post IVF.

Have a good day! :D

Hey girl! Thats so funny! I grew up and now live in Houston (Sugar Land) but spent 6 years living in Austin for college!

I am coming up on 8 weeks on my first IVF- my beta levels started low but were more than doubling so that was good. BUT my heartrate came back a little low so I am dying to see what my next u/s holds (@ 5w2d it was 99.6)

JennJenn- I know we were in the other forum together but I haven't been able to follow too closely, where are you at in the process? And what part of Houston? I think you are the only other person to spell your name with 2 n's other than me!

Have a good day!

I am currently in the Westchase area (Richmond/Beltway. Its sorta closer to the Galleria than Katy). As for the process, I am currently coasting so my E2 levels can go down. I went in for b/w today and hopefully I can do trigger tonight. I am waiting on b/w results and will post later.

Hi TX ladies,
I'm from Galveston, but currently staying in Houston until my Ike house repairs are complete. Just had a FET transfer yesterday - 1 hatching blast (have had 6 fresh IVF, 2 FET, and 2 IUI transfers before). Really hoping this one sticks to end the year with some good news! Good luck to everyone :)

Hi there,

I'm in Tyler, Texas and I just had my first IVF w/ ICSI transfer on Tuesday. I'm still on my 48 hour bed rest and my beta is scheduled for Dec. 19th. I went to Presbyterian Hospital of Plano to see Doctor Barnett and I loved him.

Congrats to those of you that are pregnant and good luck to the ones trying. This has been so overwhelming but I'm so thankful for boards like this that bring us together to share our feelings.

JennJenn,
Good luck with ET tomorrow.

Kyli,
Any symptoms? We had ET on the same day, but my beta isn't until 12/22.. I have 0 symptoms, no cramping, no soreness. I felt twinges with my chem preg and ectopic, so I'm discouraged with this cycle, but maybe those twinges were what made the others not last.. Good luck.

Waiting for 4, Toobee,
Congrats on your good news - the holidays will be extra special this year :)

beladi32,

Hi there. I have had several different symptoms. I think the biggest one is my emotions, I'm all over the place. Yesterday I was certain my cycle was going to start because I had some cramping, bloating, my body is achy, my moods, and (TMI) lots of discharge. On top of that I have been eating lots more and very tired but I think that could just be from the stress of the 2ww. My girls haven't been sore since the trigger shot.

Are you planning to take HPT? If so when? I've been debating if I should or not. Also, since we both had ET on the same day why are the betas on such different days? I saw one girl who had ET on the same day as we did and her first beta was 12/15. Still trying to figure it all out.

I'll be praying for you and everyone else here in this great state. Take care.

Kyli,
Your symptoms sound promising! Good luck with the beta tomorrow. I'm not planning to take an HPT beforehand, I guess I'd rather be pupo until after the weekend :)

Hiya ladies. :D I am soooooooooo bored with sitting around the house doing nothing. I hate Gatorade, tired of drinking water, ran out of books to read and cant stop researching symptoms. I know symptoms vary and i know that the Progesterone side affects can fool us all. I do feel like AF is coming. I have indigestion, sore throat and a cough that i cnnot get rid of. I am only 2dp5dt, so i cant be preggo yet. The time is dragging on really really slowly in the 2WW. Not complaining. Just bored. My beta is December 29th. I did a poas to see if the Ovidrel was out of my system and it is. The test was a negative. So now..............i wait....................

Good news..........

My nurse called and said that out of the 6 embryos I had remaining....ALL 6 are ready to be frozen. I have 6 snow babies on ice!!!!!!!! :D I am so excited!!!!!! I pray that I am pregnant from this cycle though!!! If its twins, I just may donate the remaining ones. Fingers are crossed!!

JennJenn,
That's awesome news - 6 frosties!! I've only had 6 total from 6 retrievals. Congratulations! How many days of bedrest are you on? I had 3, it does seem like forever. Maybe some good holiday movies are on , there's always online shopping :)

I feel a bit like AF is coming too now, I'd hate to get sad news when I have to spend so much time with family, I don't want to depress everyone for the 3rd year in a row.. At least we finally moved back to our house after being homeless from Ike for 3+ months, would be better if I could have good news next week too!

Kyli,
What's the word from your beta??

hey girls... i forgot i had started this TX chatroom. guess I should keep up with it.

some of ya'll know from the other rooms but I actually lost my baby this past weekend. Its been a hard week but I took a few half days at work and tried to focus on the positive news that I did in fact get pregnant and it will happen again.

I opted to m/c naturally and actually did on Wednesday (quick I know) and to my surprise, my lining looks so good that I should be starting BCP today to get ready for a Jan 30 ER!! Its been a crazy, tiring ride going from finding out my baby was gone on Monday to starting the next cycle on Friday... I think the quick turnaround is going to help me keep my PMA.

Can't wait to see my baby someday, I know I didn't lose him for good- he's just waiting with God until I can provide a perfect little body for him.

waiting for 4,
I'm so so sorry to hear your news.. It's so difficult to carryon after experiences like that. I'm very glad that you can start a new cycle soon - it helps. I've said so many times that a cycle would be my last, but I think I might also try another if this one fails. Wishing you the best for the holidays and a promising 2009!
