LadyJ, I'm so sorry to hear your news. You didn't do anything wrong and your sadness is totally understandable. It sounds like you and your DH have talked it over and are already planning to try again. I truly wish you the best with your next cycle. Just know we are here for you.

hi ladies, well i took a sick day today, i feel kinda crummy, but better than i have the last few days. so glad i avoided the stress of today, when i go back tomorrow i'll ask to postpone that lecture til january, which i don't think will be a problem.

ladyJ- i'm sooo sorry for your negative. all of this can be so devastating. please keep reaching out and letting all of us and your other support system love you right now. there will be glimmers of HOPE for you- you will start to feel it, and it will get bigger and bigger.

kke- what a blessing to have twins! congratulations. i'm very happy for you.

JDC- I KNEW IT!! woo hooo!! and your beta is awesome...you're in the game girl.. awesome- i've got another PG buddy. glad to be on this journey with you.

PRayin4- i'm sorry to hear your news, but at the same time, glad you've got those 3 to freeze. in the future will they do PGD on them after freeze? please be hopeful about your next cycle. for me, going into my last cycle, all i wanted or expected was about 4 eggs. i've been a low responder and have had to take the 'it only takes 1 perspective'...

foreverlove- wow, tons of eggs. glad 20 fertilized. that's very exciting. keep us posted on how they develop.

chris- you're getting your mojo back! that's awesome. i was so hoping you would. if i know anything about you, i know you're a fighter.

hi pixelgirl and gina, and everyone else.

so more uncomfortable news on my part- now i have a yeast infection! YUCK and very unpleasant. OB thinks prometrium may have aggravated it... so hopefully it will clear up soon. i'm bummed cause my body looks and feels the same..i'm hoping for bigger bbs, or a tummy bulge. i know it's early..but i just can't wait!

love to all, karen

Hi Ladies... I am still down. But I spoke with my RE today. She told me that I can start a new cycle as soon as I am ready. I need to consult with the DR. again and then I can start as soon as Jan with BCP. I told her that I will go in, in Jan to speak with my Dr and hopefully start BCP with Feb. af cycle. and stims, ER/ET in March. I want to go thru it with the least stress possible. I asked her if my Insurance will cover another cycle... she told me that I am good. My insurance will actually cover as many cycles I need up until a successfull PG. So that I am blessed. I just pay my co-pays for Meds which were $126. ANd since I still have some meds left I may not need to pay that much this time.

For the ladies that got their BFPs... I just had a question. After ET... how long were u on bedrest? What special things did u do that u think may have helped the embryos stick. ? Any advice for my nect cycle would be so much appreciated.

xoxoxo
Thanks Lady_J

Prayin 4BFP Sorry to hear you will have to go through another cycle, but i do think its good advice and PGD may eliminate some of the embies you already have, so you should have more chance of getting a few really good PGD passed embies for transfer next time

To Have Fun Good Job on finishing the paper and good luck for Wednesday!! I saw you are looking at different RE's. You may remember that i did this due to a house move, and although i loved my old RE, now i have been somewhere else i would never recommend the first one. This new one is really personal and i feel its not all about the money - its about making me pregnant, and we have had some major U-turns and issues this cycle, but he has been great. I think what i'm tring to say is that sometimes a change is an excellent idea. With only experience of one RE we have nothing to compare it to so we kind of accept how we are treated as the 'norm'. A new RE may treat you more as an inividual and have different protocols and ideas for you personally. (example- old RE only did antagonist protocols. His plan for my cycle #2 even though i didnt repsond well was to do the same again higher doses - my new RE only does Lupron (short&long) protocols, he doesnt like antagonist cycles. LUCKILY for me i respoded better to this. If i hadnt changed RE i would never have had this protocol offered to me no matter how many times i cycled) sorry that was a bit rambling :?

JDC Congratulations !!!!!! :D :D Great beta number as well!!! SO pleased it worked out for you - when the next beta?

KKE Double congrats on having twins! That would be so exciting!!!!!!

Foreverlove Wow on 32 eggs!! You are a regular little egg making machine !!!! I am also having my transfer (a 3 day) tomorrow so we can keep each other sane in the 2WW. I think we are kind of bringing up the rear. Good luck for yours tomorrow!

Lady J Sorry about your BFN :( Many of us here have felt that sadneess and you feel like you will never stop crying. You are among friends here and i'm glad you can try again right away. Next time :)

Karen I often see posts about yeast infections in the 2WW or the few weeks after, and i guess thats a side effect of anti-biotics, and all the hormones we take. Hope it clears soon, and i hope you start getting a belly real soon!!!!! Also looking at our list, i think a lot of those in stims section are on the Dec/Jan board. I looked at it the other day and saw many of the same names....

As for me i am trying to be super positive for my transfer tomorrow. I so need this to work this time. ALso i had my first PIO shot last night  OMG (used suppositories before) it really hurt and still hurts now!!! My whole butt cheek feels bruised. How can one shot be so painful. For you ladies who have done weeks of PIO, I salute you!!!!!!!!

lady j- i've gotten PG 2x from IVF and neither time do i think i did anything to make transfer stick. i believe the doc's when they say 'if it's gonna work, it'll just work'. they described it as 'sticking 2 flecks of dust on a peanut butter sandwich', and the only thing that could possibly stop implantation if the embies are destined to develop, is a very bad fall.

after my first ET, i went shopping that afternoon (walked around alot with that), and back to work the next day. after this last ET, went home, took it easy, and took the rest of the week off for a rejuvenation/holiday. both times i got PG. and well implanted pg- first PG beta was 430, and this one was 341. so go figure. you DEFINATELY didn't do anything wrong...despite how good those embies looked in the glass, they weren't destined to further develop and nobody could predict that.

kas, you sound very upbeat and positive about tomorrow! that's awesome. and warning- apparently yeast infections are quite common in pregnancy- due to the increase in estrogen and rapid increase of hormones upsets the balance of yeast!! nobody warned me about that!

and sue- how wonderful to hear from you! hope you're well. what's going on in your world?

Well, I just wanted to update you all. I saw the RE again this morning, and unfortunately I was told that i would be triggering tonight. Then, i received a call from the nurse and guess what?? My e2 level is still high. Too high. So, I have to take Lupron only tonight, and will probably do ER on "Thursday or Friday". I am worried that I will either be cancelled or will lose a lot of eggs because they will over mature. I go in again tomorrow for b/w only. I am praying that the levels have lowered b/c they may very well cancel due to it being very high. I dont understand how they can let a perfectly good cycle go wrong. My DH is telling me to have faith, and I am trying hard.

good evening ladies- today has been a trying day to say the least. i have constantly been fighting off the urge to slap almost everyone I come across. I guess this is a major mood swing and hopefully it will pass.

I am so nervous about my next u/s and its still a week away! I am sure this all comes with this path that all of us have been forced down- the dark road of infertility  but I wish I could just embrace my situation and put on a PMA... it sure seems impossible right now.

I hope yall are having a better night than I am, I think I am calling it quits for now and heading to bed.

lady_J - so, so sorry to hear about your BFN. you did nothing wrong - it's just a coin toss if it works or not. keep up the faith and how wonderful that your insurance covers as many cycles as it takes - that's the best insurance i've ever heard of. we're keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

jenn jenn - praying that your eggs stay perfectly ripe for your ER and all goes well. keep up the faith. one thing we've learned from being on this board is that things don't always go as planned but sometimes that's the trick to get it to work. may this lead to your BFP!

foreverlove - potentially 20 embryos for ET! that's amazing! wishing you lots of luck and baby dust!

Praying4BFP - congrats on making a decision and finding that clarity. we'll be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

as for me, i'm back to being sure that it didn't work. i have way, way too much energy to be pregnant. i also don't really think it's possible for me to get a BFP - i mean all i've every gotten was negatives for like 4 years, my brain can't really comprehend the idea of a positive but i know from reading your posts that it is possible. trying to keep up the faith. three more days left.

I just wanted to say a quick thank you to those who posted replies in regard to the BFN. I truly appreciate it and thank you so much for your prayers and comforting words. We truly hope that this next time works!! This has been a crazy rollercoaster of emotions.
Well, I probably won't be posting much more for right now as things are really busy at the moment with Christmas coming up and such and by the time we go in to try again, I'll "belong" on another board so, thank you again - you are all wonderful women and I wish you all the best of luck!! :D

Lady_J - I'm sorry about your BFN. You didn't do anything wrong so please don't beat yourself up anymore - be gentle with yourself. As far as bed rest after ET, I didn't either time. My clicic doesn't recommend it, so I sort of took it easy the day of, but I was back to work the next day. They also did assisted hatching on my embryos which is supposed to help them stick.

Pixelgirl - All I have to say is I know how you feel - and I was completely wrong, remember? I know a lot of people don't do hpt, but for me I needed to because I didn't want to get the call from my clinic while I was at work and have it be a total shock.

HopinginPA and SueQiwi - thanks for popping in guys, it is so great to hear from you!!!!!! Hoping - good luck on your upcoming cycle! Sue - just more proof that we can and will have our dreams come true!

I missed so many people, but please forgive me because I am so sick right now. I will have to call in to work today. I had a fever in the night which freaked me out because I don't think that is good if you are preggers. Of course I've been taking Tylenol - but I'm really hurting. My clinic said I could also do Sudafed, but I'm scared to take anything but tylenol.
