Thanks so much for your comment Angela! It definitely made me feel better to know that someone has experienced something similar. My OB told me yesterday that my ovaries are still pretty large... I'm just taking it easy today! Thanks again!
I just had my final u/s at my RE today! We were able to see our baby flipping around in there and then we got a picture of him/her sucking their thumb. We finally graduated and are now just attending our OBGYN's office. They gave us a certificate and everything ! It was great but sad to say good-bye to everyone. I feel like they are a crutch for me also. But, I am glad we have made it this far and my baby is doing great!
Congratulations Angela!! Must feel good to be officially done with the RE stuff!
Quick question...are you totally off your meds now? My RE has been weaning me off my endometrin suppositories and I am going back Tuesday for another b/w and scan. I'm not sure if that will be my last visit, or if they'll have me come back once more after taking me totally off all the meds.
Thanks... No, I am not off of my meds. I will stop my progesterone replacements next Monday, Dec. 15th and I will continue the Heparin, prenatal vitamins, calcium replacements, & baby aspirin throughout my pregnancy. I will have my first appointment with my OBGYN on Dec. 23rd. Hopefully, I will get a good report for Christmas...!
I finally did it last night. My husband has been urging me to buy maternity clothes and I finally did it. I have been putting it off for weeks because I felt like it would jinks everything. I know that sounds weird but with my last experiences I am never too careful. But, I have never made it this far with my other two pregnancies. My last one, I was just about to buy some maternity clothes but I didn't do it. I am glad because it would have made it worse having to see those clothes everyday and no baby...!
Well, if you ladies are looking for some nice stylish clothes the store Motherhood, which is normally located in malls has great sales right now. I was able to get 4 outfits that I can wear to work and causally.
Angela - I believe I will be joining you in the maternity clothes department sooner than later! I've got about three pairs of "regular" pants that are fitting right now that I keep rotating. Such a great wardrobe! I'm actually looking forward to getting some new things!
Had my 11 week scan this morning. The little bean is wiggling around like crazy! This will probably be my last week at the RE...should be discharged today. But will wait for the official word from the office later today. It's scary and happy all at the same time. I have come to love my little weekly reassurances but the drive to the RE office is getting old too (more than an hour one way).
sorry i haven't written in a while, but i am just so busy during the day and at night all i want to do is hang out on the sofa.
angela and ajdec: congratulations on your scans and gratuating from your RE.
are you guys still nauseated? i am, so i still haven't really put on any weight, but i did get some maternity clothing last week from my neighbors for my birthday, which was really nice. yeah, ... , this is really going to happen.
i'll have my 12 week ob/gyn appointment on dec 12th. can't wait. i also ordered the fetal heart monitor and it just arrived at home, so i'll probably try it out tonight. keep your fingers crossed it will work.
Ajdec - Congratualtions... no more meds (whoo hoo)
Glad to hear from you Pumma. No the nausea comes and goes and it is not too bad right now. My stomach seems to be growing like crazy. I apply the Palmer Coccoa Butter for the stretching, which seems to help but yesterday it was really bothering me. Pumma with all of your nausea it sounds like you are having a boy (just an old wives tale) .
angela: hm ... a boy, that would be great! i already have one and he is 5 now. with him though my experience was quite different, so i was thinking it's going to be a girl. either way will be great! it has been such a rough road between my first and now my 7th pregnancy.
i hope i am going to show some time soon too; it's such a great experience.
So sorry to hear about your long journey to this pregnancy... I am just curious. How do your symptoms differ from when you were pregnant with your son?
I realize that the "old wives tales" are not exactly true everytime or they would be called facts. But, it is fun guessing anyway. So I am curious to hear other people's experiences and symptoms.
Anyone else feeling really tired this holiday season. I decorated and Xmas shopped ALL weekend. Had really bad sore throat today. Came home and slept for 4 hours. It's 8:30 and ready for bed again. Anyone else?

Angela - It's funny that you brought up old wives tales. I actually googled them last night! I was reading that one is that if your husband gains weight during your pregnancy you are having a girl, if he doesn't, you are having a boy. I laughed out loud and ran downstairs to tell DH the news.
Obviously a healthy baby is our only real "wish" but truth be told, I'd really like a girl! DH has two sons from a previous marriage. And he loves to joke that he just wants another boy. He's secretly paranoid about girls because he knows how completely wrapped around her finger he will be! Anyway, we joke about it all the time.
Well...DH has been totally gaining weight since I got my BFP! He's eating ALL the time! So when I told him this old wives tale, he was like "I didn't gain any weight with the boys..." So I was like "YES...we're havin' a girl!" LOL Just adding some fuel to our playful game of girl versus boy!
