HI ladies:

I am sorry I have been MIA.. O have been so tired, not even enough energy to finish my Christmas Shopping.. My RE said that is completely normal for the 1st trimester especially since I am carrying 3..

I went to my Diabetes Endo Monday. I am so excited that my HA1C is 5.5 which means with my insulin control it shows up non diabetic, that number was even better then the last.. However he did send me for a Total progesterone level blood test.. It came back at 60.8 a bit on the high side for 1st trimester but with the PIO shots and supps my RE said it is normal and fine, nothing wrong with Progesterone overkill!!!

I have 2 appt this coming monday so I get to see our babies twice. mornign appt is with my peri and in the afternoon is my appt with my RE for yet another U/S.. Please say a prayer that baby C is catching up with her sisters...

I hope everyone is doing wonderful. I am sorry but I am to tired to do personals tonight...

Have a great night

Much sticky baby dust

hey all! we had our 8 week US today-both babies looked right on target! baby a was 7w6days HR of 151 and baby b was 8w 1day HR of 162. DW has a pain on her right side when she coughs or sneezes. they found something near her ovary and said it could be a follicle or cyst or even an ectopic (from one of the 2 splitting?) but the ectopic very unlikely. there are 2 live intrauterine embies so all is good-they are going to watch the mass closely and check again next week. could be from all the stim-and just a leftover cyst. also question for all of you- do your RE's talk about your crown to rump length when measuring size or gestational sac? baby b is great- crown rump is 8w1dayand gest sac is 8weeks 3days but baby a gest sac is measuring a bit on the small size at 7w0d even though his crown to rump length is 7w6 days. i think it's only something we monitor but does anyone have any information on this when the one sac is a bit smaller than should be?
we are sooo glad to hear everyone is doing well! we are moving right along ladies!

Wonderce Glad you're feeling a little better! I went and got those wrist bands today & I'm actually feeling ok.....but will wait to fully endorse as I may just be having a breather.

jerseygal That's great that all things are looking good with the twins. I wouldn't worry about a tiny bit of spotting...that's normal from what I hear.

MuchHope Can't imagine carrying 3... you must be wiped out. make sure you take it easy with all the holiday stuff & listen to your body like you did. And the diabetes sounds really under control, so that's awesome!

kb2131 So happy they were both on target! I have a couple of cysts left over that haven't gone down yet...they don't really hurt, but every once in a while I get a sharp pain. RE says it's fine...they're actually helping out with the hormone production. I think once the placenta takes over hormone production they should go away.
I have no idea about the gestational sac size...we just get the one measurement.

I went to my last RE appointment today & gave everyone a hug. The U/S was great, and it was actually a day ahead in growth.. 9W5D. I can see the little stubby arms and legs...amazing!!
We then went to my OB right after to get some cultures done for the CVS next week. Still nervous about it, but he reassured me the Dr is the best. The one good thing is we'll know if everything is all ok, and whether it's a boy or girl before Christmas. It'll be nice to tell everybody then.

I'm so in awe that this is actually happening!!!
Hope everybody else is doing well.

Hi everyone, happy Friday! I'm looking forward to the weekend to hopefully finish up some Christmas shopping in between my bouts of nausea. Still having some rough days but will gladly deal with it.

Jerseygal, it sounds like your 2 little ones are doing great. Have you had any more bleeding? It sounds like nothing of concern since it just happened briefly and your RE didn't seem bothered by it. I know you're looking forward to your next visit next week. I don't know if I can wait until mine on 12/30. That seems like so long from now! It's actually my screening blood tests and u/s. Then I go see my regular OB doctor on 1/2. So at least I'll have 2 reassuring visits in 1 week, but that's over 2 weeks from now. Ugh!

Elida, good luck at your appts on Monday. I will definitely keeping saying a prayer for baby C. I'd love to hear that you get a good report next week. It sounds like your other testing went well. Do they test everyone for diabetes while pregnant or did you have it before you were pregnant? I've heard of some women with gestational diabetes and not sure how they determine it.

Kb, my RE talked about crown to rump measurement and said mine was 9 weeks as of Monday, which was a few days farther along than my projected date which was 9 weeks just yesterday. I really don't have much info on gestational sac sizes although I'd love to learn more. Sorry your DW is having some pain from the cyst or follicle. Hopefully it will resolve itself. When is her next u/s?

Rinnie, glad you're feeling better and that the wrist bands are working for you. I love my u/s pictures but have a really hard time making out what's what. Do you know at what month we should really be able to see more clearly? Good luck with your CVS next week.

HI ladies:

Sorry I have not been around much. I just am so tired these days.

Wonderce. Thank you for the well woshes with Baby C...I had gestational diabetes with my last 2 children. with my last 18 yrs ago it never went away. I am on the insulin pump which is why my sugar is so under control...

I dont think they test for sugar if not diabetic until week 28, then they send you for a GTT but only if spilling sugar and protein in your urine...

I have been doing alot of research into stem cells and it seems they are doing alot of research into diabetes with it. So DH and I have decided to store all the babies cord blood, just in case they or anyone of the family may need a stem cell transfer or they do find a cure for diabetes with it...

Off to take a nap.

Hope everyone is doing wonderful

Hi everyone!!!

Wonderce, everything is going great. Just some spotting that one day after going to the bathroom. R/e told me that it would happen from time to time, especially since there are two of them in there moving all around. I go back for my weekly u/s on wed. but they did a bunch of blood testing and a urine test the other day. I am probably going to my regular ob after the first of the year. I have constant bouts of nausea. And I lost it this morning after my husband left for work. I am in the office now and so far I am feeling ok but I constantly have one of the sour apple candies. They really help.

Kb, I still have one cyst on one of my ovaries from the stimming. It's down to about the size of a quarter. I really don't feel anything, no pain. R/e said it will slowly go away.

Rinnie, I am having the CVS test done on the 26th. Was scheduled for the 22nd but my R/e wants only one doctor that he knows to do it since I am having twins and he is only available that day.

I am still going for acupunture once a week, anybody else going ?

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Talk to you all soon

wonderce I think your next U/S you should be able to see more. At 9 1/2 weeks I could clearly see the arms and legs and the head is kind of a big lump with a dark patch in it. Well, at least it's not a blob anymore.
Yes...still having some serious waves of nausea. i think the bands have taken the edge off, but no such luck in getting rid of it.

Elida I think we're going to do the cord blood too. I looked into it & the price seems pretty reasonable, especially if you pay for years at a time. They say now that it's helps in 43 different disorders.
Sleep well :)

Jerseygal Absolutely go to the guy your OB recommends...I heard the Dr makes a huge difference. If he's good it should be faster and less uncomfortable.
I'm still at accupuncture once a week too..feels great. I'm not drinking the tea anymore....can't stomach it, but they gave me herbal pills which are supposed to nourish.
Sorry your nausea is awful...I haven't lost it yet...but a dry heave or two :(

Hope everybody else is good! rest rest rest!!

Hi Everyone- I didn't see this thread earlier today until now (although it was after I had started one- sorry for the duplication). I am currently 11 weeks and 3 days and my due date is estimated to be around July 1 or 2. I am having a singleton but I have a second sac that is empty (we transfered 4 3d embies). I am so excited and so nervous at the same time. My last m/c was at 11 weeks so this is a big week for me. For those ladies who are spotting, I spotted from a week after the transfer for about 2 1/2 weeks. Mostly brown blood but occassional red with clots. It freaked me out, but so far so good. So to those of you spotting hang in there.
Forgive me if anyone mentioned any of this but it was so many pages to read through so I may have missed some things while skimming through.
Any one high risk? I am on lovenox injections daily for APS and high doses of folic acid for MTHFR defect. I also take metformin because I am pre diabetic. I will be going for my glucose tolerance test early (17 weeks ) to make sure I am not developing full blown diabetes. If that test is normal I will have a second one at the normal time. Hopefully the metformin will keep me from developing diabetes.

congrats LyLy! Welcome to the group!!! I am 8 weeks 4 days today. I just had my ultrasound again and heart rate is 161 and measuring one inch. I am considered high risk. I have hyperthyroidism and I weigh 209 pounds and I am 36 years old. I get so nervous that I am going to miscarry.

welcome lyly14!
thanks for the tip on the wrist bands-i'm going to get some today for DW-she gets up to use the restroom at 3:30 am and has the worst nausea!
how is everyone feeling?
DW still has nausea, tired but her breasts are not nearly as tender anymore-do all of you around the same weeks as us have the same? anyone else's symptoms not as strong as you near the 2nd trimester?
I'm sure all is ok but with our past I think it would make anyone a bit nervous :)
we have our first OB appointment tomorrow! so excited-we have graduated! we will be almost 9 weeks tomorrow.
also RE decreased progesterone suppositories from three times daily to twice daily and then next week once daily. anyone else being taken off prog around 10 weeks? we did a fresh cycle so i heard it's not as important as a frozen. not sure though
good wishes to all! would love to hear how everyone is feeling!

Hi Lyly14!... Welcome! I think you're the furthest ahead :) A couple of other girls have had miscarriages & I know that week is tough. My chemical was early on, but I still get nervous. I'm considered high risk because of my age. Weight and all my vitals etc are good, but can't beat the age :)

Kb2131 My nausea feels a tad better this week....last week was bad. I am so ready for it to be over!
I think they stop progesterone at 10weeks but it's better to taper it down than stop flat out so I think that's what they're doing. It sounds like everything is going well!!

Thank you all for the welcomes. I lost one baby at 5 weeks then I had a chemical pg and then a full blown m/c at 11 weeks. This is my first pg since my m/c at 11 weeks. It took us close to 3 yrs to get pg after that. Not really sure why. All of the 3 previous pg's were conceived naturally. Regardless of all that I am still petrified I will have another m/c. I am counting the days until my next u/s. I go on the 23rd for my ultrascreen. I actually was able to sneak in an extra u/s because my ob allowed me to schedule the test at exactly 11 weeks instead of the normal 12 weeks. So the baby was too small to measure the fold the in the neck and they told me to come back. Fine by me. The doc and I both knew that was a good possibility. Well I am almost into my second trimester and the m/s is just starting to ease up ( I hope ). Are most of you girls stopping your progesterone at 10 weeks? I am still on progesterone shots. My RE originally told me I could stop at 10 weeks but I was so nervous since my other loss was so late that he told me I could go up to 12 weeks. So here I am a few days away from stopping and still scared to stop. I know the placenta should be fully functioning by 12 weeks so I guess it wont make a difference at this point.

Kb2131- I have actually heard progesterone is more important on a fresh ivf cycle. The reason is that they remove all the fluid from the follicles during the egg restrieval and the follicles do not produce enough progesterone to sustain a pregnancy after the fluid is aspirated. However, from what I have been told the placenta takes over progesterone production between 8-12 weeks so taking extra doesn't make a difference. Of course you can see that I was too chicken to stop yet.

HI ladies,

I want to thank everyone for baby C's prayers. As I have always known the wonderful Lord above hers all of them and this time reached out to us..

I had my second US this afternoon. DH and I are happy to annouce that baby C has pulled through and looks wonderful. her sac is measuring perfect as is she , she is actually measuring 8w 3d and her HR was 174..
Babies A and B were right on target also with HR's at 163 and 169...

We are so thrilled about baby C that we have decided that we will keep close tabs on her location and when she is born her name is to be Angelina.. Our strong lil Angel..

Well ladies I am off to bed, it has been a very long day.

Much sticky baby dust to all

Hi everyone,

I am glad to see all are doing well.

KB - I don't have the breast tenderness or sore feeling that much anymore. I am at 10 weeks 2 days. But the nausea is still there and once again TMI but I couldn't keep down any of dinner tonight. I comes in waves for me. I just hope that in a couple of weeks it is less and less. I did have the worse headache today and I read somewhere that it is common at this period.
I had my acupunture appt and 4:30 and right after that I was much more relaxed and the headache was gone.

Much Hope - wonderful news about Baby C!!!! You are in my prayers.

Rinnie - when is your CVS scheduled? I am going on the 26th. My r/e said normally he would start to cut back on the progest. shot but he wants me to continue until right after the test. I am just doing a single shot in the morning, 1 CC. My husband says he is going to give up his accounting career and become a nurse. I think he is going a little bonkers with giving me all my shots :)

lyly - hang in there, just listen to your R/E and OB and you will be in good hands. Things will work out ok!!!

I have my next u/s and blood work done this wed. at 8:40. I am staying with my R/E until after the CVS and then it's to my regular OB

None of my pants or suits fit me anymore. So I have some shopping to do this weekend

Nite nite ladies, I will talk to everyone soon.

Elida I'm so happy about Baby C....the heartbeat is really strong! Angelina sounds like the perfect name.

JerseyGal I go in on Thurs afternoon for the CVS. After BabiesGalore's nightmare story on the Nuchal thread I'm not looking forward to it. Although it sounds like she had a pretty inexperienced doctor.
My pants are pretty snug as well....I got some BellyBands in 3 different colors so I can wear them longer. They work pretty well...you wear your pants unbuttoned & it smooths them out & holds them up....youjust wear a longer top. I'm hoping they'll get me through until I need the real pregger pants.
DH is already patting my belly constantly :D
