Hi, everyone!
Loopy, 12 is great! My daughter had 8 fertilize. 5 looked good by day 3 and she had 2 transferred (1 eight cell grade 4 and 1 seven cell grade 4, with grade 5 the best). Of the three that were left, only one made it to blastocyst on day 5. That one was frozen. She goes for her beta on March 5. She has had cramping, but no spotting. She felt slight twinging on two consecutive days. Hopefully that was implantation, but who knows. One minute she feels really positive and the next minute she doesn't think it worked because she doesn't feel different. One of her friends told her that when you get pregnant, you'll know it because of the way you feel. I told her that is not necessarily so. I didn't realize how difficult this would be for our family. We always thought she would have children first because she loves them so much. She is an elementary school teacher. However, my daughter-in-law has an 18 month old and is 5 months pregnant with her second.
God Bless you all!

Grandma, please reassure your daughter that many pg women feel no different at all - though you will have been able to tell her from personal experience :)...otherwise ClearBlue would go out of business wouldn't they? I've got a 9m old from IVF and I promise, I felt no different during that 2WW at all.

Good news that her embryos were Grade 4s plus that she managed to freeze one as well.

Fingers crossed we'll all have ++++++ very soon.

Debra.

Hi everyone

Sorry I've been missing for a wee but ended up in hospital.

I was fine after the egg retrival on Monday till about Tuesday night when I had horrendus pains right across my back my lower beely and my hips. I've had that before but not as bad as this ended up with only about an hours sleep then started throwing up on Wednesday morning so had to go to hospital. It turns out that is was a really bad flare up of my endometriosis and a bladder infection not ohss thankfully. Was in until yesterday teatime. Lets just say I was not feeling to great and ended up on a drip and on morphine so I'm convinced that was my last full attempt at this.

:) On the bright side though, I got 4 of my embryos frozen, as there was no way any could go back in, so that means I have one set of 4, seemingly of fab quality and one set of 3 from before still to use. I need to wait a good few months until I can have a frozen cycle as I can't do a natural one due to the endo.

So not all doom and gloom for me.

One positive already, congrats beckncraig, I've got a feeling this will be a lucky bunch, which means my 4 frozen are lucky too.

Good luck to the et possy for Monday and I'll be thinking of you and keeping my eye on how you are all doing.

Hi All

Loopy lou- 18 eggs superb!!!! :D :D

Grandma - Great news on the egg quality. Tell your daughter that I don't feel any different.

Wendy, sorry to hear about your endo, but glad to see you're still positve with your 'lucky eggs.

Miracle - this is our first go (so we are very lucky so far) we are doing the long protocol and have stuck to what the clinic and speacialist have said. As it was our first cycle the eggs were fresh. Rested for a couple of days after the et then went back to work but tried to take it a bit easy.

We had an ectopic pregnancy 2 years ago and had a tube removed  . Then prior to starting this treatment the specialist advised us to have the other tube removed as it was very badly damaged and it may have effected the treatment, so we had that done  . I hope that answers your question, and good luck with your treatment but remember PMA.

Jane well done on ur eggs

Good luck susan on starting your puregon we're here for you.

Thank you to everyone for your congrats.

We're sending out loadsa PMA and babydust to Monday et crew, and sit tight on your 2ww.

Sending loves, PMA and Babydust to everyone else and we'll post again soon. Everyone please let us know how everything is going

Post by regankate »

Hi My name Regan and I was originally
posting on the male infertility site.
A quik history of my IVF journey is,
Yesterday I went in for my transfer!!! We have two good
eggs that were placed back into me.
Now it is the two week wait.
I am 29 years ols and my husband
is 26, so hopefully that will be to our advantage.
Anyway, I am so nervous I just want to sit still!!
My question to all the experts out there is
can I drink a cup of coffee after implantation???
Or no??
Anyway, just a quik post !!
:P :P :P Hope everything goes well for all!!!
THANK
REGAN
wish you all the BEST!!!!

Hi Kate....welcome to the FCB's. If you want, put your dates on the Test Dates thread and those of us on the 2ww can wish the time away together!

Congrats on your 2 good embryos. Can I ask does the maximum number of eggs to be transferred back differ from state to state? I ask because some US posters refer to having 4 eggs put back, whereas that's higher than most of us here in Europe are allowed. I'm in Norway and the max is 2 (but there's talk of it going down to 1 - we've a church minister for Prime Minister and there's a strong anti-IVF feeling in this government). I think the UK currently has a max of 3 but it's going down to 2.

Anyway, congrats and re. coffee. I've been totally avoiding it but as a Brit am a tea drinker  , so it's no loss. Could you cope with caffeine free for a fortnight?

keep well
Debra.

Hi Debra,
Thanks for the Congrats!!
IT is kind of different over here in the states. I believe each one has thei own thought on how many to put back. My Doctor DOES NOT put more than two back. But in California they put maximun 5, if the woman has that many. I just read on another thread that a woman had 4 put back and she too is from California!!!
Who knows why there is such a difference.
I just hope that the two I have stick, or at least one!!!
I have just been reading about so many controversies about coffee and pregnancy. Some say a cup a day is ok, other say none at all!!

Anyway, thanks for the post!!
I will put my test date on the thread!!!!!
THANKS SOOOO MUCH
Good luck
REGANKATE
wish you all the BEST!!!!

My daughter is in Alabama. Her dr only put back 2 because he said she had such a good chance of this working and he didn't want her to have more than two babies. I hope and pray he is right and not just saying this to be nice.

Morning all,
Sorry been very quiet all weekend. Had ec on Friday and only managed to get 1 egg from my 7 follies. I was very disappointed especially as we'd wanted to freeze some this time. Anyway after spending a painful and tearful (and chocolateful) Friday night I was relieved to get a call from the clinic on Sat morn to say it had fertilised so I had et on Sunday and they say it's a good quality and is dividing well. Dh was away all Sat but had to get up at 5 to come back home on Sunday to make the et! So as dh says you only need one and this is a strong little fighter who is going to make it all the way!!!
Beckncraig... I am SOOOOO pleased for you!! It makes you realise it does work!
LoupyLoe & Sophie Jane.... well done on the ec.... are you having et today?
Wendy - hope you are feeling better now... poor you.
Grandma... so pleased dh will be home for your daughter. My dh will be away for most of my 2ww so my Mum is coming down.
Hope all is well with everyone today... we're off for the day to the beach. As I was expecting et to be today I'd already taken the day off work so I shall enjoy it with dh and the dog (a border collie called Roo)
Have a good day with lots of PMA,
Kathryn
Me 37 Dh 39 ttc 8 years
1st IVF May 2001(Failed) Damaged tubes
