They put me on vitamins when I started lupron. Prescription ones. I am continuing them now. Not sure I will stick with the prescription ones after these run out just because they aren't covered by my insurance & are more expensive than otc ones & I'm sure are just as good. I was on them the entire time with my other 2 kids so I just assume every dr. tells patients to.
I'd go ahead & take them, they can't hurt you & it will supply your body with any nutrients you aren't getting naturally.

Hi, I never took any vitamins, i only took the Folic acid, i was advised to avoid the pre-natal vits due to being on aspirin and they had something in them which could affect it. I just continued to eat a healthy balanced diet, I was pregnant with twins and never needed to add any supplements even my iron count was ok all the way through the pregnancy.
good luck to you.

Ask your doctor, I've been on vitamins since I started TTC. I take some that are food base (you can find them in the health food stores, brand rainbow light), and I only need to take 1 a day. I can't stand those that you have to take several times a day. Congratulations!
