Yes, Traci, my daughter's beta March 5. Will your dh be home for the test? She bought some baby things yesterday. I really wish she wouldn't do that, but she is sooo hopeful. I was with her all last week, but I'm back to work today (kindergarten teacher).
God bless you all!

symptoms???

Post by regankate »

Hi ladies!!!

Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend!!! I sure did, I was bored out of my mind just hanging around on the sofa after my transfer!!!
Anyway, this might sound like a crazy and naive question, but is it possible to actually have syptoms of being pregnant two days after the transfer??
I can not tell if if my ovaries are still just getting back to normal after the retreval or something else is going on down there......AND I have really tender breasts????
Should I be worried that I have period symptoms???
Another stupid question, if I am NOT pregnant I would most likely get my period at my normal time correct???

I hope someone can answer these????!!!!!!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!

wish you all the BEST!!!!

Hi all,
Just a quickie because my ovaries are still killing me and I want to go back to my comfy sofa.
Out of my 16 eggs we had 12 that fertilised and 8 to make the grade. My clinic grades them 1 - 4 (1 being the best). The 8 were all 1 & 2's and then they discard the others (which thinking about it is a bit sad really as they were little bits of me and dh).
Had two put back yesterday, and 6 to freeze. I am so pleased we have got over all the hurdles so far.
I am still really sore from ec. It especially hurts when I go to the toilet (its a real bad pain then). Clinic say this is normal.
The suppositries are horrible - worse than giving myself an injection.
I can't belive that I now have two embryos floating around in my tummy. I keep on talking to them. Even made the dog say hello to them yesterday. Its all so weird but so exciting.

I got straight up after et. The consultant said to and he promised me that embryos do not fall out. Since them however I have not done much. I have taken the rest of the week off.
I'm starting to waffle.
Wendy - sorry about the endo, but I'm sure the frozen ones will do the business for you.
Good luck Dizzy for 2 days time. All the luck I can possibly muster is being pushed your way at the moment. Its sounds positive so far.
ReganKate - I am doing no caffeine (which includes tea / coffee and chocolate. Also having a pint of milk in the mornings and lots of protein during the day.
Grandma - good luck to you and your daughter on the 5th. Its good she is being positive.
Miracle and Alison, hope all goes well today. I am thinking of you both.
Loopy / Katheryn, and July ann -
- i hope the 2ww has started off well for you too.
Traci - - enjoy the acupunctuire. It is really meant to do the trick. I hope you get some long awaited luck. All us on the 2ww will wish our af's to you as we dont want them.
Love to you all, and good luck.
I can't believe how nervous and anxious I am so I am off for some deep breaths and to watch some crap day time tv. Just realised its not really been a quickie post!
PS: just read on a site that we must keep our bellies warm (but no hot water bottle).
Love Sophie-Jane

Hi Everyone

Sophie-Jane great news re your embryos. Make sure and take it easy.

I spoke to the hospital today and am going to do my frozen cycle in August, could have done it a bit sooner but we are having a weeks holiday to Italy in June and will be nice just to enjoy that before even thinking about starting again.

Lots of luck to all those on the 2ww, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

hi girls

every one seems to be doing so well, and lots of positive vibes. Well I'm on day 4 of 2 wk and feel really good. I have just got back from a health spa so that's why i'm feeling so relaxed. Have not started the knicker checking yet but i'm sure that will come. My local paper has just phoned as they want to take a picture of my bullmastiff as she is going to crufts on saturday, so she will be a bit of a star bless her. As you can gather my dogs are my babies....

well good luck to all

Hi all FCB'ers,
I had my embie transfer yesterday morning at 8:30am, two defrosted really well, and the scientist I spoke with said that they were "compacting" which evidently means that the embryo is "integrated" and that the cells within the embie are communicating (as apposed to fragmenting I guess???), pathology is not my thing, but apparently this is a good sign.
I have been a tad of a cranky ***** :x :x today, I think there's just so much emotional energy we invest in this process, it just feels exhausting every time we jump another hurdle. Anyway, am taking the defrosting and "compacting" as good omens, now need to survive the dreaded 2ww. My test date will be Monday the 14th of March, so fingers crossed and lots of PMA to all!!!
Belinda :D :D :D

I think my daughter's positive attitude is starting to dwindle. She caved in and did an hpt yesterday and this a.m. Both neg. Today she is 10dp3dt. She told me when I visited today that she doen't feel any different, so she knows she's not pregnant. My heart just aches for her (and all of you in the same situation). She is definitely on the roller coaster of IVF.
Blessings!

hi granma

please tell her it is not over yet. I have been in tmt for a few tears and I as the other girls know I always test early but even I would not test on day 10. She has not got enough of the pg hormone in her body for the test to work. Many woman have no symptons whilst pg.
It is so nice that you are there to support her, I really hate having to put my mum through all this when I have to tell her it has not worked again She really feels the pain to. I just want to be a good mum like her.

Well please tell her to be positive, she will not know for sure until her test date..

Hi everyone,

I had EC yesterday and got 5 eggs so I was really pleased. Clinic called today to say 4 of them have fertilised so I am on for ET tomorrow. Still nervous as got this far last time and then embies didnt divide so I missed ET.

Wendy - Glad you are feeling better. 7 frosties in all is good and lets hope they give you a positve when they do go back in August.

Regan - Welcome to the site. Glad your ET went well. I think most clinics dont tell you to avoid coffee but it does have caffeine so may be best avoided. Try decaff instead.

Debra - Good luck on the 2WW.

Loopy - Well done on your ET. Hope the 2WW sails by quickly.

Kathryn - How did your ET go Sunday. Hope you are OK

Traci - Hope AF comes soon, FSH stays low and that easter bunnies help with a bumper crop of eggs.

Jane - 8 good embies is fantastic - more than I could ever dream of. Hope the two implanted are snuggling in and great to have 6 left just in case although I am sure you wont need them.

July Ann - Hope the 2WW is going well. Good luck to your other babies at Crufts!

BelB - Well done on FET Sunday. Hope you are finding the 2WW OK.

Grandma - Its always tempting to test early but practically always deosnt help. There are loads of stories on this website of girls getting negatives early and then going on to get positves later on. Its only a few more days so hope your daughter has some good news then.

Miracle - How did your FET go yesterday?

Kate - Are you OK? When is EC?

Susan - Hope injections still going well. When is your next scan?

Dizzy - Hope the 2WW is going well.

Love to all and apologies if I have missed anyone.

Love Alli

projesterone???

Post by regankate »

Hi ladies!!!

I am jsut soooo confused :? :?
I thought if you tested to early you will get a positive reading anyway beacuse you still have the HCG hormone in you from the shot??
Another question is, will I get my period at my normal time if I end up not getting pregnant, or does the projesterone stop your period from coming anyway???? I would normally get it around the 7th of March and I am to test on the 12
I am on day three of my tww and can not stand the anxiety!!!
Sometimes I feel like it could be positive, other times I think that my symptoms are just premenstral......
Someone please HELP!!
Thanks

wish you all the BEST!!!!

Hi, wow we're creating quite a list of 2WW'ers aren't we? PLEEEEEASE let us all be as lucky/deserving/blessed as Beck and Craig.

Wendy, good luck in August. A trip to Italy sounds divine. Being a Brit abroad means a holiday = going to the UK. Which is always lovely but not relaxing as my mum is in Suffolk, dad in Dorset, grandmother in Leicestershire and only brother in Shropshire - it seems like my family are as widely dispersed as possible!

Regan - I can't help you re. the test, although I've also been told that the residual hormones give false ++ readings. Re. AF dates. I had a failed FET in January and AF arrived exactly on time BUT it was a natural FET so I wouldn't expect any deviation from the normal cycle. This time round there were meds and AF is due the day my test results are due back (11th).

Grandma - I agree with everyone before, testing early nearly always confuses things, and never helps. The 2WW is a 2WW, no shortcuts!! It's tough but those tests aren't designed to cope with the medication we take during tmt. Just as well we've all got each other to boost whilst waiting.

Keep well and smiling,
love
Debra
