No nasel spray but 3 injections (Bruselin)

I know my clinic will update me next week but being impatient I want to know now.......

Does anyone know how Bruselin injections work? is it every day??

hi Sarah
as far as i am aware the injections with burselin are once a day only thing is dont think you can use a pen injecter thingy with them apparently my doc was telling me this morning that the nasel spray is really hard to get hold of at the mo but i was offered the choice of the injections or a nasel spray you use 4 times a day i choose the nasel spray

hope this helps a little love Ang xx

Sarah

the Buserelin is cheaper, I have used Syranel nasal spray, 1st attempt then buserelin for the second. I injected myself twice a day with the buserelin so when I started on the Menupur I was injecting 3 times a day. Had a lovely black and yellow tummy, did them all manually as my clinic does not like the auto injector, but all worth it in the end. I am now pregnant with twins.

Good luck with your treatment.

Love Lisa xx

OMG......going into panic mode now.....

The lady form the drugs company said there were 3 shots of burselin @12.08 each and she asked if I wanted an auto injector pen....

Maybe (am hoping) it is different for a FET.........Im sure I will find out next week but dont know what I will do if I have to inject without the auto injector-am a real needle phobic!!

1st tmt I used Synarel(only twice a day) last tmt had to use Superfact-real pain as 3 times a day............I would sniff 50 times a day if it meant no needle!!!

Oh well, must try & stay calm...........
am tempted to ring clinic but have pestered them enough lately so will try & wait till my appt........

Cheers for your replies guys

I've always sniffed with buserlin - if you are really a needle phobe then I would insist on sniffing (if you can get your existing order changed) I don't think it makes any difference which method and you could do without the added stress!

Sarah,
i can understand your concern regarding injecting, when i first started
my 1st treatment i was terrified about needles and injecting, but i realy
surprised myself, i was also on bueserlin once a day, and pls believe
me it realy is not that bad and it does get easier, mind u i still
have probs when i have blood tests i just cant look and usualy feel
quite faint.
good luck with your treatment, will be keeping an eye on you !!!!!
take care alison

Hi everyone,

I just phoned the clinic who have said that they are finding using Burselin injections is working quicker than sniffing, you also only need to inject once a day as opposed to sniffing 3 times........

They also confirmed(phew!!) that I can use an auto injector so am feeling more comfortable now

Good luck everyone
