Thank you so much Yasmina! I have checked out the website!
Thanks for the vote of confidence.
I am starting to feel my enthusiasm is contagious, we had our mandatory counseling tonight and the counselor started by preparing us for the sorrow of the loss of hope and ended up suggesting with enthusiasm it might just work and to keep her posted as my DH offered her to come babysit for us
The things DH sais, I should start a new thread on that
But right now I just LOVE his optimism (and his sperm

Sorry for the barge but i have a couple of questions for children. Are both of your pregnancies from ER number 1? How old were you then? What clinic are you using and what protocol?
I noticed that you created another over 40 crowd under ivf forum. Thanks for posting here too!
Yes, both of my pregnancies are from my 43 yr old eggs. My clinic was (http://www.fertilitysa.com/) at that time and my RE used standard "mini dose flare up protocol for ivf", which involved taking BCP for 14~21 days and then mini lupron along with FSH to stimulate follicles for about 10 days. In the end, I was hyperstimulated and produced 25 eggs, 21 of which fertilized but only 19 developed into 2-cell stage well. They were all kept frozen since Nov. 2005. After first pg and live birth, I moved and transported the remaining 5 embryos to TN and did another frozen cycle at http://www.nashvillefertility.com/ and luckily, all 5 embryos survived the thaw and were transfered back to me which resulted a singleton pg.
Hope this info helps! Good luck!

Thanks Yasmina. Don't you feel like the luckiest girl in the world? I would. All of that is just amazing. You give me hope. Something i am sorely lacking at this point. THANKS!!!!!!
Thanks for checking back from time to time. I am happy that you little puppy is home with you now. Happy holidays to you too!
Kelly,
Yes, I was one of the luckiest ones here, but it has been also very stressful and long process for me and I can only open another bottle of champaign until I will have another live birth - I am counting days now! You are years younger than me and you already have a son, I am definitely believing that you will get what you want soon! This message board has been very helpful to me and I am sure you feel the same too. I am very happy to see so many over 40 ladies are pg at the moment in the ivf thread, they all are our inspirations!
Tammy,
How are you holding up? Positive vibes to your way...
Catharine,
How are you doing with your little precious?
Sisi,
Wish you luck on the coming cycle!
Everyone else here,
Take care!

Jen: It is so good to hear from you. Glad your newest family member is home. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you too!
Yasmina: I had my estrogen/progesterone levels checked today. I have not gotten the results back, but I was wondering why the RE orders these tests? Do they want to see if our estrace supplements and Progesterone dose should be increased if the levels are too low?
I'm ready to take the EPT, but I will wait. I've had no symptoms at all today. Monday/Tuesday I had some mild crampy pains, so I'm hoping that it may have been implantation. I'm still eating my pineapple. Thanks for sending the positive vibes my way.
Take care all,
Tammy

Yes, they want to make sure both E2 n P4 are adequate. My TN fertility center didn't bother to check these but SA one did. They did not change the doses after the tests though. So, there shouldn't be any concerns. Any symptoms at this point aren't reliable, don't let those affect your mood, keep the positive thoughts! As u will test early, this would help!
Good luck!

Yasmina: I just got off of the phone with my RE's office. My progesterone level was 60.81, which they said was good. I'm still waiting for my estrogen number, as it was not faxed to my RE from the hospital yet. They told me to call back this afternoon. I am in good spirits, as I remember that I did not have any early pregnancy symptoms with Andrew. Thank you for all of your support. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you.
Regards,
Tammy

I never knew what my readings were at this stage, they just said "stay on the same amount of drugs". But I was told anything higher than 20 was fine and your number sounds great!
Keep the good spirit and you may have the best Christmas gift ever!

Just checking in on everyone.
Tammy - Sending you lots of baby dust for your BFP !!
Yasmina - Almost there!!
Jeni - I have followed your story for the last year - nice to hear from you. Hope you are enjoying the holidays!!
Sisi - wecolme aboard. Isn't it great to have a forum where you can ask anything. I find this board full of answers to questions that I would have previously never thought to even ask.
Catharine - I agree that you have a great DH. Mine is great - but, never did understand what I was going through during my pregnancy so I still did most of the work around the house (yes, after coming home after 9-10 hrs. at work).
As for me - just going crazy waiting for my next period. I have already called the clinic to prepare them for my next adventure with them. I have to call day 1 of this next period so they can get the baseline blood work again. Then DH and I will try naturally in January - but not holding our breath. And then start with the clinic when 2nd period starts. I hope the timing works out because instead of skiing this year - I booked a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for 1/10 - 1/17. I hope my "clinic" visits do not fall anytime in that week (if we have to wait any longer to try again I will go CRAZY again!!). I just want to start the process again.
Tracy
Hi my name is paula, this is my first time on this so i hope i do ok,, I'm in the 40 age group, well infact i turned 40 november just gone.. I have been through 2 iui's with no luck and have just completed my first ivf treatment, they pulled out 16 eggs but with only 7 of them any good,so yesterday they done the implant of one egg, all very scary !!
Just wondering what everyones else's story is

Paula: Welcome to our site. I am in the 2 ww after completing a frozen cycle. I had 4 frozen eggs left over from my last IVF. Only one egg survived the thaw, but luckily it fertilized and was transferred last Friday. I have my beta blood test on Monday, so I'm trying to be positive.
I have a DS who is 21.5 months old from a naturally pregnancy.
Regards,
Tammy

Ladies: I took an HPT this am and got a BFN. It was almost 8 days past a 3 day transfer. I'm hoping it is still on the early side and trying to remain positive. I am extremely tired today. I took a 2 hour nap and am still exhausted. I'm going to bed as soon as I get Andrew down.
Take care all,
Tammy

I just check in to ask whether you would do HPT tomorrow. Remember your embryo was at 4 cell stage and going to become 6~8 cells while transferred? which meant it would take longer to develop and implant. Also, depending on the brand of your HPT, you could not see anything yet at this early if it was not designed for picking up signals at 20 HCG level. Anyway, Monday won't be too far, stay positive and I continue to hope with you!
Good night!
Y
