Heartbeat check with midwife

Post by Tracey S »

I have deliberated over posting this.......... I am still reeling from Dagny's news and was dashing back from walking the dog to post for you so you don't all worry and then read the news.
I remember what I felt like and I remember telling everyone to carry on enjoying their pg as we had all fought so hard to get here so I am taking my advice and also listening to Dagny's about not taking for granted etc.....
Also I know how you all worry.
The midwife came around at 6.10pm last night (she lives in my village - very handy! and is a friend) and I was just scoffing my chilli con carne.
She measure me first - she had measure me 10 days ago when I was 14.6 and I measure 18cm and now 10 days later it is 21 cm - yikes so she was pleased with the growth.
She found twin one hearbeat on the left very easily - going at 140 beats pminute. The other she searched a bit - not for long and found twin two near my tummy button - quieter but probably the way it was lying - this was going at 132 so very different beats - RELIEF until my scan which of course I am still nervous about (especially after Dagny's news)
Thank you all for the support - oh and bloood pressure was 110/70 - normally 120/70 so was pleased with that. She says they are moving a lot probably and this accounts for the fizzes (not the one off Corrie)
Love to you all
Tracey

Hi Tracey
good news, its strange how different each heart beat sounds, i wasn't expecting that at all but I am sure it can also be a help to differentiate between the 2.

Good luck with your scan, one of mine was giving the other a bit of a kick while we were scanning yesterday, obviously the tinker of the two!!

Take care and let us know how you get on
With love
