Kas, I noticed mine would slow down and I was hoping it would be gone, then it would be back the next morning. I noticed worse in morning. I would get up, go to bathroom, check pad, same as at bed time. Then I would walk around and gush, more dark brown and like I said there were thready clot like thing in the toliet...I mean big things, like 1 inch long! I also saw black, black, black clots with red blood inside. Even got two red/orange gushes. Heh...i did the more than wipe thing too! We are so pathetic aren't we?

I really hope yours stops like mine. It kept getting better and worse and then just better after 19 DPO. So do not assume its over, you might just old blood passing. Yours sounds less bad than mine actually!

My fingers are so crossed. Do you feel tired at all? I do not mean sleeping earlier, but just feeling physical tired, not mentally KWIM?

Lynnie It seems you know the kind of brown 'sludge' i am talking about!!!! I'm having on/off cramps but mostly in my L. ovary area...

No i'm not tired which i know would be a great sign, in fact i have had raging insomnia for the last 6 or 7 nights. I wake up to use the bathroom like 4 or 5am (normal for me) and then i am wide awake. I try to go back to sleep but no chance, so even though i am only getting 4-6 hrs sleep a night i am not tired!!!!

I am a bit bloaty (same as last time with a BFN) and constipated (again same as last time BFN - i think its the progesterone) but apart from that nothing!!!!

So, yup Kas, I will reach here and let you know that I did feel tired around day 13 and 14, but was waking up way early. So there is something. I think we have had similarities with our cycles.

So do you get brown on the pad (usually not enough to fill it ) and also on TP? I had both. I also found that even when I wiped and there was not brown if I did a little "dip in" to see what was happening, I would get brown on the TP every single time. Why I tortured myself so I do not know.

Now if you do break down and test, make sure to buy a First response early result. Go to another store if they do not have that one. Make sure you do not get the First response rapid result! Early result, not rapid result. The early result was the one that gave me my +.... I did a digital and it said "not pregnant" even after I go the line on the first response. Man, that was horrible. So you are 13 DPO today or 14. My HCG was 34 on day 14 which is too low to test on several HPTs.

I am thinking of you and really hoping for a positive beta. The wait is horrible. How was your transfer? Was it smooth? Did you have one of those tests to look at your uterus shape, etc and check for fibroids?

Lynnie My situation does sound a lot like yours..... I have been using just a thin pantyliner and theres usually something but not much. I did have like a small pool the one time, but everytime i wipe i do the 'dip' thing and get something to show for it!!!! I also dont know why i torture myself over thisThat is so crazy that it is so similar!!!!

I'm loving the fact that you kept waking early. I am such a good sleeper but not any more. I put it down to stressing out or even a side effect of PIO or estradiol tabs as i never heard of insomnia as an preg symptom, but if you think it could be, i will take it!!

Tomorrow is 14dpo but i cant take a HPT. Last cycle i did it every day 9dpo till my neg beta and everyday i upset myself...I thought it would prep me for the result at least, but of course it didnt and i was upset all over again even though i knew. At least this way i can carry on, i'm not upset at all and if its a neg i will only get upset once. Ignorance is bliss, but i am really banking on a BFP and you have made me feel much better about this :)

Oh yeah, and my transfer went really smoothly (like last time), and no probs with uterus shape or lining. My RE thinks its at implantation i fall down. He also has an untested theory that i might have immunological issues regarding implanation, especially after i had a violent rection to Lupron and he went into my family medical history.

To help he put me on Lovenox subQ, 16mg of prednisolone daily, the usual baby asprin and 1000mg of Vit E.

Kas - Just think u only have 3 more days till your beta. You can make it. I know the spotting is scary but that is normal with IVF pregnancies. Try to relax, read a good book. I would say have a beer or margurita, maybe a bottle of wine but nope that is out of the question. Maybe I will have some wine for you. So did you do as the RE prescribed and do the deed with DH after your transfer. It is really interesting the your RE told you to do that. Big Hugs to you and try and keep warm.

To Have Fun Yes, i am on countdown which is good - the home stretch!!! A beer sounds really good to me. We have some ice cold coronas in the fridge, and wow are they tempting, but theres no way - i am so paranoid right now i wouldnt eat any ice cream yesterday. I told DH it would be too 'cold' for my uterus. He thinks i have lost it. I think he's right

As for the post transfer situation... No we didnt. I kind of wanted to as my RE's words that 'semen aids implantation' were ringing in my head, but the truth was i was too scared. As DH put it 'how am i supposed to do it without banging everything about?'. He also said if it didnt work i would be blaming the fact that we did do it, and i knew he was right....

I bet you are excited about Tuesday as well.... I saw on the new thread you are on the bcp's in preparation. Good for you :) I hope this RE has some new angle that can be explored...

hi ladies.. not hopeless- that's wonderful you have at least 6 follies!! fingers crossed they keep growing, being at 11 so far is great.

JDC..i'm so sorry and upset about your news. i know that bitter, angry hurt you have right now. i was surprised at first they are keeping you pio and retesting monday...but your hcg has risen..so? is it possible there's a scrap of hope left? i don't know what to say or think, except if i could hug you right now, i would... or i'd be happy to hold a punching bag for you too.

jennjenn- so you must have had ET? how many? how'd it go?

kas- yes i've had the 'sludge' too.. hang in there.. it's a horrible thing to feel compelled to closely watch myself pee to see whatever else gravity is going to send out... my recent incident has re-inspired that habit. i also think about the toilet i'm using if i'm at work or somewhere else- 'will i have to stick my hand in this toilet to fish out any blood clots or possible m/c's to take to the hospital with me?- how clean is this toilet? - or can i have my hand ready to catch any pertinent discharge?'---ridiculous, and i get bitter thinking of 'normal' pregnant people who never have to think like me.

detroit- good luck with that beta tomorrow!

well, my spotting has come back tonight..for the last couple days it was obviously old blood- very brown, sometimes blackish....now it's brownish-red, and sometimes more red than brown...so i'm getting scared again. and i'm mildly crampish too. this is how i felt last time i m/c'd.. so i'm hopeful it's just the clot sorting itself out..but scared too.

hi to everyone else.

karen --

Should you head back to the hospital? I think you need to think about bed rest. I know its early and maybe crazy coming from Dr. Lynn(not)! I mean what do I know. However, I am thinking that if there is a sensitive area from the bleed, maybe its best to keep on 24/7 bed rest till its healed? I would definitely be asking the doctor about that!!! Man, the whole thing about catching stuff that comes out is scary! However, you do want to have that stuff looked at to know what is coming out! Ugh, the things we all suffer through.

Keep us up to date on what is happening and please go to the hospital if the spotting keeps up. I would feel better knowing you were on bed rest to get that bleed healed up!

Karen I also think you should consider staying off your feet until you talk to RE. Everything will be okay, we just have to be extra careful with you.

Thanks again to everyone's sincere thoughts. To be honest, it has not emotionally sunk in yet as deep as it will. I remember last time after the d&c it was like all my hormones came crashing down and I really fell depressed.

I really wish PGD was an option for us, but we only get a few eggies at time. If I do end up going for a 4th try (which is extremely iffy right now), I may insist on a different protocol or something. I know he will say it is all my fault with my "bad, old eggs" (well, not in those words!) and that I should do egg donor, but I really want a child of my own ( with my crazy genes!). This whole thing is just so frustrating! Thanks for listening to me rant, and in the future I will try and stay positive.

Hi,
I am 12 days past transfer and start some brown spotting this morning. Need to do my PT on Monday 22/12. I had cervical cancer 3 years ago and had a first in SA opt and still can get pregnant but via IVF due to the tubes been removed. This 2ww is stressing me.

Mary, I remember exactly what you mean about those estrogen patches. I used the Vivelle dot patches and it felt like I was literally ripping a layer of skin off everytime I had to change them! It also left a huge red square on my lower stomach. Keeping you in my thoughts.

NotHopelessYet, good luck at your u/s tomorrow. I'm sure you'll have more activity by then. It sounds like you're off to a good start though!

Detroit, wishing you really good results with your next b/w. Let us know.

Kas, I'm glad Lynniecat is able to comfort you with her having the same symptoms. It doesn't sound like much fun to deal with and probably a bit scary but I'm so hoping it will taper off like hers and you'll get your BFP. Just a few more days!

Chris, I also saw you, Lady J, and some others on the new board and hope you don't mind me dropping in to keep updated on you all. I really want to see how this next cycle goes for you all and am hoping for lot's of BFP's.

Karen, please take it easy with that bleeding starting again. I'm thinking of you and hoping it stops. Like you said, hopefully it's the clot working out. I'm with Lynnie, will you call or go back to the doctor, just to see what they say?

JDC, still hoping you get some resolution Monday. I think if you want to rant, then rant all you want.

JDC--

CCRM was talking about doing CGH on my embryos and I am only make 2 -5 at most. I said, I put them all back anyway, why do that? They said so you know what went wrong if it did not work.....

I know you said round 4 was in question, but you might want to consider them if possible.

I was able to switch insurance to get this land round covered...just a thought..
