In the past few weeks, it seems that everyone i know has baby news. My newly married brother and his wife are 5 months, my friend is 4 months and one of my co-workers is 4 months. As if this wasn't bad enough, 2 other friends recently had abortions.
And then there's me.
I've known dh for 11 years and married for 3. I knew something was wrong with me because I had irregular periods for as long as I can remember.
My dh and I were devistated after my last bfn on 12/1. I had been optimistic because i had no spotting like I did the 1st FET. But when I got the call at work at around noon, I was so devistated that I couldn't return to work after lunch. I cried all the way home while asking myself "why me?".
We've had so many setback with the fertility treatment and I told my dh that I'm so tired of crying. I've cried more this year then I have in the past decade.
My insurance will only cover 3 tries, so we have one more left. Knowing this makes both my dh and I anxious for obvious reasons. We have always talked about having children and I feel that our opportunity is slowly slipping away from us. We know that there are other options, but my dh does not want to adopt until we've tried all options (herbal remedies, accupuncture....

Welcome to the board. This board is full of very informative, supportive, and sweet people!!! These girls have become my second family and I feel I am closer to these girls then my actual "real life" friends.

Hi Faith79 (I'm guessing we're the same age because I was born in 1979 too!) I urge you to join one of the IVF threads once your next cycle is underway. You will find so much support from the women here to pull you through and be there when you do get your much anticipated BFP!

I am so sorry to read about your struggles to have a baby. I too was devastated each time it didn't work for me. The only thing I can really say is to not give up. It took 3 tries for me to get pregnant, and now I am pregnant with twins. So please please don't give up hope it can happen when you least expect it. In fact, when I went in for my blood test I didn't think it had worked.
A couple of things. 1. You said your insurance will cover three tries. So far you have only done 2 frozen cycles, and the first part of the fresh cycle since it got canceled. Does it cover three fresh cycles? Because you might have more than one more try. In my experience it worked better for me when i was in the right emotional place. I took a few extra months off between the last two cycles.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you that it worked.

I agree... taking a mental-health break and really pampering yourself and spending time with DH (without worrying about appointments, drugs, timing, etc.) is really necessary.

Welcome to the board. I myself is also new to this site. I just wanted to wish you allll the best and pray that this coming 2009 will be the one for you and that u will get that BFP! But even if u wish to wait a bit longer than that..that is alright as well! As this journey is not easy at all! i have learned that...take all the time u need to heal!
