Hello all,

ReganKate, Chill out, but I know exactly how you are feeling. I'm on day three as well. I spent the morning reading all the ivf books in waterstones. Just really chilled and read all the do's and donts and the simplified scientific bit about what happens during the 2ww. This was lovely, so relaxing as it was really informative in a positive way.
As I understand it you will not get af on the 7th. If you are not pg (which you are going to be so don't worry) you will get af on around the day of test.
The books told you to envisage the embies implanting, so day 3-4 is implanting day I think so get talking to those embies.
I am also having lots of twinges today, but my boobs no longer hurt.

I did have a really bad nights sleep last night. Had quite bad anxiety, so I am really annoyed with myself and think I've blown my chances. But still keeping my belly warm (am wearing the biggest apple catcher pants you could imagine ... no more skimpy g strings, esp as I'm on these dreaded suppositries!!!). I'm spending as much time resting on the sofa, and I will start work again on Friday.

Grandma - all the books I read this morning said Not to test early as you wont get a correct result, and that we really shouldn't do urine tests, but go to the clinic and have a blood test (as this is the most accurate test).

Alison, so pleased about your embies and hope all goes well tomorrow at et tomorrow. I will be thinking of you.

Kathryn, Loopy, Debra, July ann, Belb, Miracle - hows it going girls. Are any of you back to work? Are you going shopping and walking the dogs etc? I'm a bit worried I am being a bit lazy. My mum came round today to do my hoovering, and change my sheets, and load the dishwasher. Secretly I think she enjoys looking after her baby daughter, but I still did feel a bit cheeky. My tummy is still sore from ec though .... is anyone elses????
Oh dear all these questions I'm firing at you. I am obviously more nervous and anxious than I thought. Deep breaths.

July ann - I will keep a look out for your pooch baby at Crufts

Dizzy - not long to go now. Will keep on logging on to scream at your positive news. I so hope all your dreams come true.
Wendy - your post sounded posituive which is great to hear. Enjoy planning that holiday.

Susan - haven't heard from youfor a while. Hows it going?

Traci and Alypraying - thanks for your support.

Well done to us all I say for surviving through this cycle. Its been tough, but so are we. What fantastic Mums we will soon be. Sorry if I've missed anyone....
Love Sophie-Jane

Hi all,

sorry i've not posted for a few days but i've been feeling very negative, i've had period pains all through the weekend but no bleeding. I'm still trying to be hopeful about the test tomorrow and i'm now quite nervous. My blood test is 12 days after my egg collection as this is when my clinic says they can tell by blood but i've not been tempted to test early as i don't think the wee sticks work until day 14.

Hope all you are other 2ww ers are doing ok and better than me at staying postive

Dizzy :)

Hi all,
I'm back at work today, also trying to visualise my little embies implanting into the lining and making a comfy bed for 9 months!! (not sure whether work will be so happy that I'm devoting my head space to this!) :?

Hi, ladies!
I know you are all right in saying that my daughter shouldn't use hpt's. Her dr. told her not to, but she had one left and she used it this a.m. She said it had a very faint line, but it took 10 minutes to get the line, so she didn't put much faith in the test. She also said she wasn't getting her hopes up because it could mean hcg still in her body from the shots. She really did seem to be in much better spirits today though.

Sophie-Jane, if your mom is anything like me, she really does enjoy taking care of her baby girl. This ordeal is tough on us too and if we can do the dishes, cook a meal, or do some laundry, it makes us feel like we are helping you in some small way on this very difficult journey.

Best wishes to all of you very brave ladies!!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're ok, you know it's funny you think it's going to be ok when you see that positive test but then you've got another 2ww till you find out if they're there & in the right place. we're still really worried.

Dizzy- I know it's easy to say don't feel negative you'll be fine. i had period pains to i think it must be to do with those b----y horriable pessaries. we're sending you lots & lots of baby dust our fingers & toes are crossed. l'll be thinking of you in the morning. :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

jane- glad to hear your chilled. you take care of those embies. sending lots if baby dust. :D :D

Grandma- I convinced myself i wasn't pregnant i did'nt feel any different. i still don't maybe a little tired but i'm putting that down to all that my body has been through. it's too early to have any signs. she'll be fine tell her to do the test on the day they said. sending her lots of PMA

angelina- good luck for EC on monday.

loopylou- wow that was great news on your embies. :) don't you worry about those pollops i had them up my nose.

Hi all,
Angelina - good luck for your ec next Monday. Here is a list of do's and dont's that I have picked up along the way.
Before ec and after et
Acupuncture - strengthens the uterus/womb apparently and research varies but basically all agree that it increases chances of pregnancy following ivf.
2 litres of water and a litre of milk every day.
Lots of protein
Vitamin C for dh
No caffeine (tea / coffee)
No chocolate, alcohol, drugs, smoking etc
after et -
keep your baby tummy warm but NO hot water bottle.
No baths and shower backwards!!
No sex and no orgasms
No housework - no lifting etc
No aerobics / horseriding etc

Hope this helps. At the end of the day other people get pg naturally when smoking, drinking, horse riding, lifting, eating bars of chocolate and bathing everyday .... so I'm sure it doesn't really matter but I am keeping to the above list.

Hope everyone else is OK.
I had a crap nights sleep again last night. I just can't sleep so am again annoyed that I have blown my chances, as all the books say to stay relaxed. This 2ww really is pants isn't it. Am a bit miserable today, sorry.
Better go and lie down again and talk to my embies. It should be implantation day today (day 4????? or is it day 3???).

LoopyLou,
I have had back ache as well. I think its been because I haven't been using my stomach muscles. So when I stand up, lie down etc I am using my back muscles instead. Does this make sense?
Hope you feel better soon.

Oh Dizzy, I've been thinking about you on and off for most of the day. I've been checking to see if you'd know your results today or not.

I'm sorry it was a negative. :( I know exactly how disappointing it is. The wine, chocolates and bath sound like a lovely idea......perfect for the pampering you deserve. Pleased to see the positive thoughts about next time and the frosties are there already.

hugs
Debra.

Hi eveyone,

Dizzy - I am so sorry that you didnt get the result you wanted. Its good you have frosties to use and I am hope you will have better luck with them. Enjoy your wine, chocolate and bath.

Debra - Your mum lives in Suffolk. Its a small world - so do we - we actually live in Bucklesham nr Ipswich. Where is your mum based?

Angelina - Good luck for EC next week.

Miracle - Well drone on your FET yesterday. Two out of three defrosted is very good. Hope the 2WW sails by (as if...)

Jane - I saw your tips for before and after. The only one that surprised and that I hadnt heard before was 'shower backwards' Shower I can understand but why backwards?????

Loopy - I hav some abck pain as well. I think it is too much lying about without doing much.

Beckncraig - Hope your next two weeks goes quick and that you see your baby on scan so that you can relax a bit more.

Regan/BelB/Grandma (& daughter) - Good luck on the 2WW.

I had my ET today. One of my embies had died overnight so I was left with three. They have put two back and frozen the other. I am quite hopeful so far but know the next two weeks will feel like an eternity.

Good luck to anyone I have missed. Lots of babydust to you all.

Love Allison
