Tammy- I am so sorry about your BFN. I know how hard it is I have had 4 of them. With every one I always thought about my daughter that I have from my first IVF and that made it feel a little better that I knew I had her.
What are you going to do now?

Hope33- I think there is still a good chance for your BFP. You tested early, and you also did a early (not blast) transfer. So it may still turn. Keep us posted.

hi brenda,
thanks for the encouragement. I really need it at this point since i am all over the place emotionally today. the only thing that makes me think i still have a chance is that i feel very bloated and i have this pulling sensation in my lower abdomen and my breasts are swollen. I really hope this took..... i am on pins and needles til tommorrow night. I will test again then.

Hope33: I hope you get a BFP when you test tonight. I would say that your symptoms are a good sign.

Hope33/Brenda: Thanks so much for the kind words about my BFN. DH and I talked last night about proceeding with our plans for adoption from China and we also talked about the possibility of embryo adoption. I am 44 and the chances of my eggs being genetically abnormal keep increasing. When I had Andrew my chances of having a baby with Downs Syndrome was 1 in 70, but at 45 years old it is 1 in 30. That concerns me.

Hi guys,

well i have had a hell of a morning! My re yesterday told me to take 2 prometrium orally everyday so last night i took one and went to sleep felt fine and this morning i took one and about a half an hour after i took it i felt like fainting. My vision became blurry, i felt numb all over and i was gaging to throw up but nothing was coming up! I got so scared, i was home with my DS alone and i couldn't find the phone to call my dh but after a few minutes i located my cell and my DH came home in 10 minutes- thank goodness he works close by.... The dizziness kept on for an hour and i felt very very faint. i was ready to go to the emergency room. called my re and he said not to take orally during the day but to take it at night but after today's episode i am really scared. has this happened to anyone?????

BTW took the HTP first response this morning, before the episode, and their was a oh so slight faint ghost line there if you stare at it long enough. showed it to my DH and he confirmed the ghost line........

i am feeling better now but i am so worried about taking the prometrium tonight...... what do you think i should do? I wonder if the prometrium can cause a drop in blood pressure? wonder if that is what it was.......

Hope33: You poor thing! Thank goodness your DH could get right home.
Did you check the potential side effects for that drug? Is that progesterone? I did the intramuscular injections along with estrace tablets. I am so happy to hear about your positive HPT. Take it easy and you will get your BFP tomorrow!

Merry Christmas everyone,

Went for my beta number yesterday and the dr called just now and told me that my first beta number came in at 36.4. isn't that really really low? i am concerned that this pregnancy will not continue. going for my second beta number tomorrow. just a bit worried, and hoping for the best...

Hope33: At 9 days past transfer, that does not seem that low. When is your next beta? Congrats on your BFP!!!!!!!!!

hope33- For only being 9dp3dt that number seems fine. That is really early My number was 10dp5dt - 195 so that is an extra 3 days from yours. Your numbers can double or triple every 2 days in the first week.

I got a stomach virus on Christmas eve and was very sick all day yesterday finally able to eat and drink today.

Brenda: Sorry to hear that you have been sick. I'm doing fine, as we had a very nice Christmas with our DS, Andrew. He just loved playing with his new toys. I have posted a picture of him playing with his new workbench on Christmas morning.

Brenda so sorry about you being sick! How are you feeling now? That must have been rough, my ds had the stomach virus 2 weeks ago and I luckily didn't get it.
Teachertam! What an ADORABLE picture of andrew! Was he excited about santa coming?
My 2nd beta came in at 95.6. What do you thini should be worried? With my last pregnany my beta numbers were so much higher than these numbers. They were 59 and 255. I feel a little uneasy about the numbers. Next appointment is jan 5 for the sonogram my re is out of town til then so here is hpoing next week is uneventful.

Hope33: Your 2nd beta sounds fine. Thanks for the compliment on Andrew. He does not really understand the Santa thing yet. I'm thinking he will get into Santa next year.

Tammy your son is beautiful!!! He is about the same age as my daughter she was born 11/13/06 and just loved Christmas this year.

Hope33 have you had your beta checked again? Did the numbers increase like they should?

I go in for my U/S on Friday 1/2/09. They ran my 4th beta and my numbers didn't even come close to doubling (3164 then 5 days later only 7401), but RE said that the numbers don't increase as fast the futher you go along. I checked my calendar from my pregnancy with my daugher and I had almost the same numbers at the same time.

Thanks for the sweet compliment on my DS. How exciting that you are going for your ultrasound on Friday. I remember that I took a video tape to record all of Andrew's ultrasounds. It made is so special.

Hope33- How did your ultrasound go????

I had Ultrasound on 1/2 and they found 2 heartbeats, one was four days behind in growth, so were are concerned.

Hi brenda. How many weeks are you now? And when was your tranfer again? With my first pregnancy my one twin was behind 2 days and on the 8th week it had stopped growing. It is called the vanishing twin but my little guy did just fine! Now I can see why the other didn't make it. He has a strong personality and it really is the survival of the fittist. I know exactly how concerned you are about the one twin. I was so upset that I lost one that I didn't even want to have the one that was left! Isn't that crazy? I was so upset crying but you know that everything works out for the best. Now that I have my son ans see he was a very demanding baby I understood why god took one away. Just say a pray and keep positive and I hope everything turns out fine.
I went for my ultasound and it revealed 1 healthy lookibg sac. My re said it was really early still to see the heartbeat but he say that he thinks he sees the fetalpole? He said that I am only 5 1/2 weeks along. I thought I was at least 6 but guess not. He also gave me a due date of 9-5 -09. When is your due date brenda? Are you still seeing your re or have you moved on to your obgyn? My re released me but now my obgyn won't see me til the 20th. I am really bummed too b/C my obgyn that delivered my ds doesn't do labor and delivery anymore so I am searching for an obgyn. I have 2 appointments schuduled with 2 differnt obgyns so I can decided who to go with URGH!
