August 2009 Babies

Well I know I can't be the only one due in Aug. so I thought I'd start the August Babies thread. I am 7wk 1 day today, due Aug. 10. Other than tiredness, sore boobs & an already growing belly I've had no big bad symptoms. How about everyone else. This last week I've had a couple days where I felt sick but nothing ever happened. I had no morning sickness with my other 2 though so I'm hoping I get lucky this go around too.

Hi tkh2008,
I just got my positive beta yesterday. I'm on cloud nine. I have no symptoms other than the apparent lack of cramping that I always had on my many failed cycles. This is making me confident that this pregnancy will last! I calculated my due date on this site - should be around August 27. I went to the store to buy more healthy food - fruit, caffeine-free drinks, etc. I surrendered my starbucks gold card to my sister. I switched from coffee drinks to the chocolate fraps, but those still have caffeine. I'm more than happy to drink water for nine months now! Congratulations - happy holidays

Hi ladies! Thanks for starting this thread! I was hoping there were others of us out there.

I have had morning sickness for about a week and a half now. I haven't vomited, but I have begged to. My boobs are still really sore and large, but that seems to ebb and flow a bit. And I'm tired. Exhausted really and haven't gotten much done this past week. I've been totally useless. I work from home and that's been a major blessing. I don't think I'd have been able to get dressed and go anywhere! I barely make it out of my PJs as it is!

On top of all that I have a major cold. It isn't helping at all! And I can't take anything, so it's even worse. My pregnancy symptoms have sort of taken a backseat to cold symptoms, which makes me nervous. But everything makes me nervous, so what's new!

My U/S is Jan. 2. A looooong time from now it seems. When is your U/S?

My U/S and next bloodwork is Dec 29. I'll be 5wk4d then I think, so I guess they check for the sac/fetal pole.

My first u/s was the 16th. Got to hear & see the heartbeat which was really exciting. My next one is Jan. 6 & then I'll be released from the IVF clinic back to my regular OBGYN. I haven't had any bloodwork since my 2nd beta 3 weeks after transfer. My u/s showed a single, we transferred two but I swear as big as I already am, it's just got to be twins & maybe one's hiding.

I am already having to wear maternity clothes as my jeans no way will fasten & my tops are too tight. That doesn't hurt my feelings any though. haha. I have days where I am so tired & get nothing done. Then I have days where I want to clean house top to bottom. Quite strange.

Glad you ladies have joined me here. Can't wait to see how everyone is progressing.

Hello I am also due August 11 with twins

I am 7 wks today and was released from my RE today...I've had 2 u/s already and both babies are looking great...We will be telling family and friends Christmas eve and Christmas day...what a suprise, we kept this IVF a secret so no-one even knows anything...
I hope everyone enjoys their holidays and am looking forward to sharing this journey together

Just checking in. How is everyone doing, feeling? My internet has been down since Chirstmas & I've been going crazy without it. haha

Anyway, I go for my last visit to the ivf clinic today for an ultrasound. After today I'm released to my regular OB. They've already called & have me scheduled for bloodwork tomorrow & my first ob appt. Friday. I'm excited since it now feels "real" with all the appts but at the same time I'm nervous because I just haven't had any symptoms other than breast tenderness & I'm getting bigger, gaining a few pounds. I do get the occasional sick feeling but no real morning sickness. I'll feel better after the us to make sure everythings progressing well.

Hey Ladies- Wanted to join in I am 6wks 6days today Due date of Aug 26th. I had my ultrasound on Jan. 2nd and they found 2 heartbeats but one is about 4 days behind the other in growth. I was released to my high risk OB and have a appointment on Thursday 1/8.

Noticed that I was on the same board with Cocosmomma for FET. It will be nice to continue to go through our pregnancies together.

OMG Brenda! TWINS!!!! Congrats! I am so happy for you. I have an Ultrasound at 8:30AM on Thursday. What time is your appt? Are you going to the office attached to the Children's hospital?

Hey there,

Not sure i am 'brave enough' to officially join you ladies yet as i have spent a long time on the 'other side' so i will wait till my first u/s on 16th to put my mind at rest, but i just wanted to throw a question out at you....

I am 6w 3dys today and since the end of my 2ww i have been spotting (brown, sometimes sludgy, sorry). Its not 24/7, some days its there, then i might have a day or two with nothing, and then its back... of course i am totally freaked out and want to know if any of you are having the same thing???? My nurse says to 'drink lots of water and take it easy'.

If you have any insights or experience of this i would love to know!!!

First of all congrats!! second, try not to worry too much. I've read on here that lots of women have spotting or bleeding a little or all through pregnancy & have perfectly healthy babies. Our bodies go through so much with IVF so your spotting could be for many reasons. I'd keep asking the dr if it gets worse or changes. Other than that, rest & relax.

hey ladies, i just completed 6 weeks today, and if i have twins, my dude date would be August 11th! but if singleton, then Sept 2nd!

i am exhausted by evening, sore boobs and the Endometrium Vag tablets seems to never end!!! but thankfully i dont have nausea!!!!soemtimes the lower abdomen cramps get a little annoying, but they pass of soon!!!

I have my first Sono on Jan 16th, just wanting the hear the baby's heartbeat!!!:-))))))) praying for twins!!!

Hi ladies,
I will be 7 weeks tomorrow, so far so good! I saw my baby's heartbeat a week ago, and yesterday heard the heartbeat too - 133bpm. I'm so happy, I started telling close friends that has supported me through my many cycles. I hope I'm not jumping the gun, but I feel really good about this pregnancy. Not sure when I'll be released to a regular OB - probably after 8 weeks. I started having some nausea this week, but am forcing myself to eat as much as I can. I wish I had weighed/measured myself when I got my first beta. I think I probably have gained a couple of pounds so far though.
Kas - I had brown spotting starting at 5 weeks , I was so worried, I cancelled my christmas driving trip to visit my parents, and stayed on bedrest for 2 days until I could get to the doctor. My clinic said it's not unusual to have spotting, but to let them know for major changes, and if I started cramping. Luckily I haven't been cramping, but I even had a few drops of red blood one day, and things have progressed on schedule since then. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the reassurance on the spotting and your welcomes....

I was getting really concerned about the spotting as it would get heavier, then stop then restart etc so i called in (for about the 4th time about this) and they told me to come in for an earlier u/s. SO we saw 4 sacs and 4 little beans (we put back 4 this time) but only 3 had heartbeats and the 4th sac without the heartbeat looked cloudy and the RE said he thought it wasnt going anywhere and may have even started to resolve, so triplets it is!!! The fact that one is resloving and the fact alone that its triplets may explain some of the spotting, so i have been told to rest up and relax.

All beans measured 6 weeks and 1, 2 and 3 days (on Wednesday) and my official due date is Aug 30th but as its trips, my RE said more likely to be mid July. If anything happens to one of them (i see it happen a lot with triplets on these boards) then it will be later. Anyone think they are showing already???? I am quite a small person and my nurse pointed out my belly. I told her i was still bloated form the stims - she told me thats not bloat thats babies!!!!
