Announcing safe arrival!

Post by nicaliw »

Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know that after a failed 1st IVF cycle (early M/C) we had a successful FET in April and our baby boy was born last week on Dec 19th!

He was born my elective c-section for being so big. At 38 weeks gestation at time of birth he weighed in at 8 lbs 9.7 ounces and was 21 inches long.

He is beautiful and its the most amazing peaceful kind of love imaginable.

Wishing you all so much luck and love with your future babies.

Nikki

Congratulations! What an amazing holiday gift! There really is no better moment than meeting your child for the first time. Plus you managed to squeeze in a great tax write off this year!

Enjoy this special time together! It goes by so fast! Congrats again!

kholton...thankyou! ....and yes, I intend to soak up every minute with him. With my 8 year old I was always so eager to see the next new thing he did......this time I want him to stay tiny for as long as possible.

Heather....thankyou! I hope you're doing well. I was wondering if you made any decisions about moving on with another cycle?

He is absolutely beautiful. How is your oldest boy adapting to him?

I have not contacted Schoolcraft yet....trying to decide if we can swing it financially. I doubt he will take me anyhow as I have SEVERE endo that cannot be removed. Thanks for asking though. Let us know when you post new pictures. He is a doll :D

Heather....my oldest is doing ok with the new baby. He seems a bit dissappointed that the baby doesn't do very much yet except for sleep. I was worried because one of his school friends told him that Moms don't have any time for you after a new baby arrives, so the day I told him we had set the date for a c-sectioin and it as just 3 days away he cried and cried. It was heartbreaking. Anyhow, now he knows it is not so different after all he feels better.

Well, I hope you and you're DH can figure out what will work best for you. Maybe you could go for the initial consultation and see what he says? That doesn't commit you to anything, then at least you'll know if its even an option with him. I don't know, its a tough one. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and have a happy New year!
